Welcome back Holiday!!Good morning MMC!! "Merry Monday!" I hope everyone had a great weekend & your week is off to a good start! We had such a nice weekend at the lake. It was so relaxing to not have a wedding, graduation, 1st communion....or anywhere we had to be!!!!Our lake neighbor friends all took today off work so I'm a little jealous of them right now, but I'll be off on Wednesday to stay with Mom so I keep reminding myself of that!
My Gracie girl got sick overnight but it looked like she ate something green & leafy...hoping that's all it was & she's good to go now! xx Other than that, not much new going on to report!

Good morning, everyone!
It's been a while. I didn't mean to disappear again. I've been super busy with teaching and planning. I have not had a teaching day off since March. Also, I've been training for a few running races, which has taken a lot out of me. There's nothing like going to bed at 10:00pm every night!
Actually, I had a race this weekend and did fairly well. It's nice to be retired from something I was mediocre at and return to something where I can excel... If only I kept running during my 20s!
I have some FUN NEWS to share. Kim and I have FINALLY chosen our first dance song. We've been looking for something for well over a year now, and we've been unable to agree or just fine the right song that represents both of us. Well, yesterday, I had an urge to listen to Christmas music. I didn't want to cook or clean the kitchen, so I told Kim that I was putting on Christmas music to motivate me. Anyway, the second song on my Pandora station "Today's Christmas Hits," came on and it seemed perfect. I yelled at Kim to give it a listen... The song? Better Than Christmas Day by Dave Barnes. We wanted to include Christmas in our wedding somehow, and this song is absolutely perfect. It explains us perfectly. I've been listening to Dave Barnes' Christmas stuff for about five years, but I've somehow never come across this song.
Give it a listen and tell me what you guys think!

I'm too busy to have time for this work thing!!! Just kidding - I am thankful & very blessed to have my job BUT I would much rather be hanging with my peeps at the lake or with my family. Just sayin...Nice to have your birthday off & a 3 day weekend to look forward too ...and remember to be thankful for every birthday you get to have! My brother was shorted many...

I'm so glad to be at work...I need the rest! I worked in the yard all day Saturday, edging and string-trimming. Then I mowed the lawn, but first I had to fix the flat tire on the mower. and it was in the upper 90's all day. Whew.
Yesterday afternoon, my brother and I installed some window air conditioners at the Methodist Campground cabin that my mother-in-law owns, getting ready for campmeeting.
I'm bruised and scratched and tired. (Feel sorry for me yet?)
Nancy & Elizabeth went to Jacksonville yesterday morning with Nancy's sister for an accounting seminar at a fancy hotel on the beach. I have to go pick them up tomorrow since Nancy has to get back to work, so I'll be out most of the day. It sure is hard to sleep when Nancy's not there!

I hope Gracie is feeling better. Lulu has been into all kinds of bad stuff lately, too, but she's weathered it.
