Christmas Countdown - 2017

[Holiday]

Hello all,

Another lazy day here. It is nice and cool today, so the windows and doors are open, and candles are burning. It feels like early fall. The temperatures have been great so far, but change is on the way. By the end of the upcoming weekend they are saying it will be in the 90s! YUCK! I cannot explain how much I hate the heat. Oh well, not my I can do about it, so I will stay indoors in the air conditioning most of the time. But for now, I am enjoying the cool weather.

It was very chilly yesterday - that wind!!! Supposed to be a little warmer today...it doesn't need to hit 90º so quick!!!

Last night I was sitting on the couch in the living room and I could hear what I thought was a scene from the Grinch movie. So I got up and walked to Henry's room, and guess what? He was sitting on his bed holding the ipod with the Grinch movie playing! I of course smiled and joined him watching the movie. Before long our cat jumped and and laid on the bed too. What a great kid! Christmas is all year for him.

Hello everyone,

I have pretty much taken a sabbatical from MMC lately, too much going on in my life to make daily visits. My wife and I are trying to save our marriage, we actually decided it was over nearly 3 weeks ago after being together for 18 years. We talked a little more after we decided it was over we are still together as of now, holding on for dear life everyday. We have grown apart, and we're seemingly only together for the kids, but we started talking again and that is why I have not been here, trying to spend more time with her instead of online. If you know me on Facebook, please don't say anything about it, very few people know we almost split. I only have told 3 people, my boss, my second in charge in my area, and my best friend. It has been a trying time, I haven't cried this much in years, we are looking into counseling to figure this out.
I think about MMC daily, but just haven't been feeling Christmassy enough to visit when I have had time to pop in.
I hope you all are doing well, I miss you all and hope to spend more time here in the future.

Good Thursday morning! Is it me or is this week going by much too slowly? I guee I just want the weekend to be here already. While my boss is on vacation I am in charge of the store and yesterday my patience was tried when a colleague simply did not do what needed to be done for the warehouse and we were left to take care of the mess in the evening. At least the sun is out to help brighten my mood. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day.

Happy Thursday MMC! A nice and cool morning here again. But the heat is on it's way. By next week everyone will complain it's too hot (hint: Gunny). But today it's nice and sunny and feels like September. I was just thinking how we're basically 10-12 weeks from being in the Bers again. That just is scary. Feels like we just celebrated Christmas not long ago. Hope you all have a great day today!!!

Today is election day!
I am heading out to vote soon.

Pouring rain, nothing new. We are waiting for confirmation on a moving date still. Meant to be next Friday so hoping it works out. I am ready to turn a chapter so want this to happen soon.

Good morning MMC!!
Today we officially hit the 200 day window to Christmas. It seems almost like yesterday Crown was posting the new Countdown for 2017, and here we are celebrating 200 days till Christmas. Lets look at our Countdown numbers quick:
Days to the Season: 158
Days to Christmas: 200

All the best things about Christmas are just ahead of us now as soon as we get past the heat of summer. Interupting that heat will be our own CIJ though, a time to party with family and friends and obviously with QVC. And lastly a time to hangout with the running MMC threads. Everyone have a great day and tune in for tomorrows Countdown!

It rained all night last night, but I think it's supposed to clear up today. It was really cool this morning, but it'll be in the mid-90's by Saturday, doggone it.

I'm taking a couple hours off this afternoon and going to Savannah with Nancy.

It's going to be cloudy today with a high of 65 degrees. I have a doctor appointment later this morning. Typical day otherwise. I'll just be working on some chores around the house this afternoon. I need to pick up Italian bread while I'm out, I'm going to make sausage & peppers heroes for dinner. I think I'll make a pasta salad to go with it. I guess that's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Ron- I am so sorry to hear this. I think this is a very common occurrence especially when you have kids. We get so wrapped up into their lives and activities it is not too hard to slip away as a couple. I am keeping you in my prayers and I hope the counseling will help you reconnect.

Sorry to hear that you and the wife are going thru that. I can relate its been a tough few months for similar reasons. So don't be a stranger if you need a fellow to talk with that is going thru the same thing let me know. The only positive thing you mentioned is looking to do counseling and hope that talking it out can help mend and build the bridges that might have gotten a little rough.

Sorry to read that you are going through similar. I hope and pray that things work out for you guys.

YAY so excited but yet feel panicked at the same time. I normally have several gifts bought and tucked away by now but not this year

Good afternoon ... well finally a day with no rain but its still partly cloudy and not all that warm ... upper 70s. We are taking the kids to a baseball game tonight (minor league team), I think I will being a couple blankets in case it gets to chilly once the sun goes down.

Happy Friday Eve... My youngest is trying out for a play tonight for the summer play. They are doing The Lion King. She has to sing in front of people a little song. Everyone gets a part so that is a good thing...lol Finally some nice sunny weather and I think it is going to be warm this weekend....maybe we will go to the beach??
