You're welcome, Holiday! Matt Wertz's album "Winter Wonderland" is actually my favourite Christmas album too. Excited for you to listen to all the songs, too!

It should be just great. :) We're about 3 1/2 months away now. Crazy.
Thanks! I saved his Christmas album now too!

No matter the storm, the sun always shines though in the end...

Gosh, this reminds me of a song our friend Gloria sang in "A Little Bit of Heaven." It was one of her favorites.

After ev'ry rainstorm the sky always clears
After ev'ry rainstorm a rainbow appears
And though the sky is cloudy
And you are feeling blue
The sun will soon say "Howdy" to you ...
If a little teardrop comes into your eye
Just smile away the teardrop, and you'll realize
That all your little troubles
Will spread their wings and fly
After ev'ry rainstorm goes by.

On a positive note my company gave us the 7/3 off too as a company holiday so I am looking forward to a 4 day weekend for sure! Hope you all enjoy the day and stay safe in those storms!
My office is closing 7/3 too ... I'm looking forward to the extra "July Fourth"!

Ok so who stole the weekend cause it can't possibly be Monday already. The weekend went by way to fast however I did score some new Christmas/Winter Decorations and a couple gifts over the very fast moving weekend. I had been looking for a Red Rider Sled (the one with the red metal rails) for a while now and found one at thrift store. I am going to clean it up, add some greenery, a bow and maybe a pair of old skates and maybe some lights to adorn the front porch this Christmas and Winter. I also made and canned cherry pie filling for the holidays. Hoping to make and can blueberry pie filling soon, got to wait until Aug to do the apples.

Its been hot and humid and I am already so over it and summer hasn't even officially started yet. A cold front is moving in later today so we are expected to get some severe thunderstorms today. I am just hoping hey hold off until after we get home from work.

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a great Monday!

The weekend was a fine mix of productivity and kicking back...Our temperature dropped to 70 degrees for a high Saturday. Perhaps that's why I saw a large doe disappear, from a front yard, between houses to escape my rampaging 20 mph drive down the neighborhood street.

Thanks Martine, appreciate your ongoing support through this.

It's our buyers that have been a little flaky. Our seller is pretty easy going. She is a lovely elderly lady selling so she can move in with her daughter after losing her husband in December. I have just found out that we are moving on the 22nd though and this time I think it's really happening!

My solicitor has also informed me that our buyers have now signed and exchanged contracts as well. It's a long and tedious process here in the UK. Also ,no one is legally bound to the sale until exchange of contracts. Either party can pull out at any time before. The whole process lasts about 12 weeks (or more) with exchange only happening 1-2 weeks before completion. I know people who got to the end only to have their buyers pull out so all very nerve wrecking! However peace of mind comes after exchange as they (and us) are now legally committed and if they did pull out last minute they stand to lose their deposit.

Eeek sorry if I have bored you lol !!!!

Merry Afternoon everyone!

What a crazy couple of days! Yesterday evening our solicitor rang to say the move would happen on Friday. I was frantically running around to finish pack etc, book removal van, organise utilities etc. !!! I had assumed it wasn't going to happen on Fri when I hadn't heard back from them over weekend. Anyway she rang me a couple hours later to say the buyers had been in touch to say they couldn't do friday after all!!!!(insert a few choice words here )

Anyway long story short we are moving on the 22nd now and it's been confirmed! It's happening!

I'm glad we have a few more days notice in between. The last thing I want is to part with the house in a rush. It was our first family home so it will be a bitter sweet day.

Hope you guys are having a great week.

This is wonderful news!!! Sending good wishes for a smooth move & (((HUGS))) as I'm sure it will be bittersweet!!!! But how exciting!! Can't wait to hear where you will put your tree!
:tree:

Good morning ~
It's going to be a bit cooler today. We have showers passing through this morning but thankfully it's going to clear up and be sunny with highs in the upper 70's. My husband and I will be heading to Jones Beach tonight to see the Train concert. Those beach concerts go on rain or shine so I'm glad it's going to be a nice night. Anyway, typical day here otherwise. I have a couple of errands to run and then I'll be working on my daily chores.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

How was the Train concert? We saw them in Pittsburgh a few years ago - they were great!

Morning MMC! Happy Mid-June Thursday. A beautiful day is forecast here with a high of 77 with sunshine. Can't beat that in the middle of June. Hoping to have a good day today at work and then might take Rollins to the park after it since it's such a nice day. Anyone else feel like this summer is going to fly by? Have a great day!
It already is!!!! I can not believe our town festival is THIS weekend!!!

Just stopping by to say HI!
Getting ready for a 4th of July parade as Santa. I have a new patriotic suit for such occasions and am excited to don it! Also, getting excited about the annual Hallmark ornament premier weekend on 7/15 & 7/16. A picture of its initial coat fitting is below so you can see it.

As usual, I will be at the Amy's Hallmark in Sachse, TX. I am considering wearing the patriotic suit one of those days. It all depends on how hot it is.
VERY nice! LOVE IT!

Busy getting ready for me to visit in 14 days!! Lol!!!!

She's crazy busy at work with meetings and projects going on. Like getting up at 2:30am busy. I don't know how she even stays awake long enough to walk Harlowe in the evening.

I told her everyone was asking about her though and she said to tell everyone hi!!! She'll try to check in when she can keep her eyes open long enough. (Knowing her schedule though, that won't be for awhile.)

Hope she can take some days off when you visit!! xx

Today was my Friday...Bambina has been asking about watching Elf on a Shelf for two hours...and now she is wanting to know where her elf, Trixie, is at....which made me wonder...

Why do those little elves have names that makes them sound like the stand on a street corner?

Good morning to all the MMC community. It is currently 3AM and so very quiet and peaceful. Working on my second cup of coffee and watching a Christmas DVD. It is just a lot of different scenes, both inside homes and the great outdoors, set to Christmas music (with choice of piano, harp, bells & guitar/violin). Very relaxing for the time and this site. Our Anniversary dinner went very well. The only minor downside was due to having worked the evening before, the night ended a little early. I guess we old people need our sleep... ;)
Of course that was just to celebrate the actual day. I will take her to Orlando in December (7th - 14th) for a nice vacation and 15th celebration.
The excessive heat has broken here with highs in the mid 80's, though the weekend looks to be Thunderstorms and 70's. I am praying for a nice Saturday as our local Zoo is having a special event, which I will be helping out at. But everything in the hands of Him who knows what is best.
As the time gets later, I'll try to finish the mowing and maybe get a little more grass planted in areas that are in need. We have one section that gets so much shade, a kind of moss grows, choking out the grass. I try to keep up with it, but it let's me know that nature, not man, is really in charge... lol.
I caught Made's entry concerning Snowflake22 and will pray she gets some help to be able to enjoy her life a bit more. Having a job is great and the abilities to do it even better, but when it seems like life is work, eat & sleep. the stress can wind up bigger than any paycheck.
Festive: I hope your move is going smoothly now and I will say another prayer for your country as well. The entire nation has had more than its share of troubles lately and really needs time for healing and rest.
Have a splendid Friday all and an even better weekend. Hopefully the weather where you are will cooperate.

Happy Belated Anniversary!!
Hope the day at the zoo turned out great!!!

HoHoHello my Merry Chums!

Crazy busy as usual and not slowing down, but had to take a merry break. Hoping to check in more often on the weekends.

Christmas in July is on the way and some merry radio tunes are "in the works"; can't wait!!!
Nice to see you AMD!!! Hope all is well with you!!!

Hello all and Happy Saturday!
It is still 3000 degrees outside today.... ok, maybe not that hot, but still around 90 with a lot of humidity so it feels like the mid to upper 90s. YUCK! Relief is on the way though. A cold front moves in tomorrow and by Monday we are back in the upper 70s!

Today is my wife and I's eleventh anniversary! It has been an amazing eleven years with many more wonderful years to come!
We are not doing anything this weekend though. Well, tomorrow is Father's Day and we are having her family over for a cook-out. But we are going to ComicCon in Indianapolis in July that will be our celebration.

We did go out to a nice breakfast this morning and then to the farmer's market and nearby turkey farm and meat store. So we at least had a fun morning. Then I wrote a research paper proposal.

Well, everyone have a great evening!
It was 3000 degrees Saturday ~ and by last night we had the patio heater on. Crazy weather!!!

Merry Monday and back to the grind. My girls are sleeping in today as this is their first official day of summer vacation! They are saying storms for us too...not sure if that will happen or not? I need to go grocery shopping later, otherwise it should be a quiet day. On a positive note my company gave us the 7/3 off too as a company holiday so I am looking forward to a 4 day weekend for sure! Hope you all enjoy the day and stay safe in those storms!
We have a chance of some storms later too. Not sure if they will hit or not - pretty spotty!
I took off July 3rd as well! I'm working all week this week, then I have next Monday off after our town festival, & then July 3rd....and then it's back to reality of 5 working days a week for awhile! Or that is the plan anyway...
Hope you are having a great day!

Howdy Holiday. I trust your vacation was all you were hoping it would be. I've always thought that the one thing I enjoy most of a vacation is feeling that I've earned it by working the other portions of the year. I wonder if I would enjoy it as much if I was retired or idly rich. We have missed you as well, so basically... welcome back! Have a great week...

Welcome back, Holiday!! Hope you had a great vacation...

Welcome back Holiday!!

Thank you! It was a wonderful vacation. Our 2 homes were amazing. Swimming pools & hot tubs were great, as well as all the food & drink & family time! We had a ball! Can't believe it's over. :(

Top of the morning to one and all in this MMC world of the never ending Christmas. Had a very relaxing Father's Day. Oh, I got a few things done, but nothing major. All I asked for was peace and quiet (and KFC). Got it all... lol. Did a minor pull in my back from moving incorrectly, so I may have to just take it easy again today. The zoo day was a huge success and we all had a great time. Not much else really going on here. I will start looking at replacement washers and dryers as the ones we have are over 17 years old and you can hear them straining a bit. My biggest decision is whether to go with another agitator or the spin type on the washer. Oh the complexities of modern living... ;)
Have a fun week all and I see we are very close to our 400th page on this tread. So what is next for all of us...

Our washer & dryer are over 20 years old & the washer is starting to make some noises. It's worrying me b/c they sure don't make um like they use too....

The last 9 days were extremely fast moving - darnit!
Your sled sounds like a great find! I'd like to see a pic when you get it done!
Hope you are having a great day!
