Cool!!! Hope you love it!! I just got a blue snowball and was thinking of getting an arm for it too since my computer desk is pretty small.

This is the one I bought (well, I SAID I splurged!).

It comes with a clamp so you can attach it to a table or desk, and comes with a 3/8 inch to 5/8 inch thread adapter (which I needed for my Blue Yeti---I think the Snowball has a 5/8 inch thread, too). It's plenty sturdy for heavier mics. It's definitely pricey, but it works!

If you get one, let me clue you in on something: It's sort of spring-loaded, and when you first set it up, you'll think, this keeps straightening out and won't let me adjust it as I want it. But once you attach the mic, its weight counterbalances the springiness, and it'll let you adjust it.

Wheee! This won't excite anybody else, but I gotta vent my joy. I splurged and treated myself to a studio boom arm for my microphone, and it arrived a day early. I couldn't wait to try it out. It clamps onto the table I use when recording, and the mic hangs in front of me. It's out of the way of what I'm reading and saves table space for the laptop that the mic records into. Looks almost like a pro setup, and I think it's going to be very convenient ... and should be a good incentive to get some recording projects going.

Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day and the beginning of summer! Looks like we will have a beautiful day here today. Yesterday was really nice too. Once that humidity went away it felt really good out. The schools here are closing after Friday so the kids have 3 days left. The next few weeks will be busy between work and my brother coming next week. I know that I will blink and it will be July 10, he will going back and mentioning how he will return for Christmas. Have a great day!

Wheee! This won't excite anybody else, but I gotta vent my joy. I splurged and treated myself to a studio boom arm for my microphone, and it arrived a day early. I couldn't wait to try it out. It clamps onto the table I use when recording, and the mic hangs in front of me. It's out of the way of what I'm reading and saves table space for the laptop that the mic records into. Looks almost like a pro setup, and I think it's going to be very convenient ... and should be a good incentive to get some recording projects going.

Seems crazy that kids are still in school. They've been out almost a month now here. I've seen some others mention kids were still in school - just seems so late!

I thought we were having VBS for children, but instead we have a pack of wild animals! Nancy and I are doing outside games, but it's rained every day, so all that pent-up energy is release indoors...loudly. I have to say, they've been having a good time LOL! Tonight is the last night. Whew!

A rain free day at last yesterday? Well, almost. Had some precipitation in the early morning but otherwise stayed dry until late last night.
Looks like we may get more of the wet stuff added today but for now, no rain is falling and we see a temperature reading of 70 degrees here in the NC Piedmont.


Can it be 'Pines Day again so soon? Carl says so. And he's saying it with fired twinkies, sweet southern iced tea and plenty of entertainment, the likes of which you will not likely find anywhere else.
Whether that's good or bad is in the eyes of the observer. How about coming this evening to try some observing of your own?

Nice!! I still use a modified light arm that went haywire one day. I dont make many Youtube vids anymore, but its there just in case.
