TGIF, Christmas friends!

I worked in the yard yesterday afternoon, and got all the grass cut and sidewalks & curbing edged. Now I just have to cut all the crazy shrubbery. I wish I could pull up all that stuff and replace it with plastic shrubs. Do they make that? They should!

My brother has decided to finally marry his girlfriend of 15 years, and he's asked me to be his best man. I've been to some pretty good bachelor parties in my day, but that was a long time ago. What do old guys do for bachelor parties now? LOL

Congratulations to your brother and his girlfriend!
I hear bachelor and bachelorette party destinations can be pretty extravagant now. My nephew got married last year and decided to just have a pig roast in the back yard with all of the guys. They had a blast!

Bachelor parties have gotten ridiculous! Especially for the young guys. They do not have the $$$ nor do their friends who are all getting married, buying homes, paying off college, etc etc etc. to go away on these expensive weekends. Don't even get my brother started on this subject. Ha ha ha! Our friends son who got married in March had his bach party in his parents building out back with a bonfire at night. They had a blast too.

Happy Friday! We have all three of our birthdays within 23 days at our house, with Memorial Day, VBS, a week of vacation, & Father's Day thrown in for good measure...;

DD's birthday was three weeks ago, but we're just to a point of her having her birthday sleepover with her bestie tonight. Back to the Future themed party---she told me the other day I was so lucky to grow up in the '80s! She loves all things '80s because we watch & listen to a lot of it; she is not the typical 12-year-old. They will have the run of the finished basement, so hopefully I don't have to stay up too late & I can get some things done tomorrow morning while they are still asleep. No other plans for tomorrow, church on Sunday. Maybe I could squeeze in some scrapbooking or something Christmassy...

What a fab theme for a party. I'm a kid of the 80s as well, so many great movies and great music. Hope they don't get too loud so you can rest tonight and get things done early tomorrow morning.

Good morning MMC!!! Merry rainy Friday!! WOW it's pouring!!!

We had our last pre-fest party last night, now tonight it's time for the festival to begin! It's supposed to rain until 9:00 tonight so we may not even make it up there until tomorrow. I might be comfy in my lawn chair by 9:00! The rest of the weekend is supposed to be nice. High of 75º tomorrow, high of 71º Sunday! By Monday the high is 69! Crazy weather!

Good Friday mid day MMC! A three-day weekend for me. I'm just relaxing today, it's a rainy, gloomy day. So the idea of taking a cruise this Summer is out. We're much too late and the prices are much too high. Back to the drawing board. Have a great day everyone!

I mentioned it last night to the neighbors that Sunday is half way back to Christmas....you should have seen the eye rolls.

TGIF!!!! Not sure what we are doing tonight. Original plan was to go to the movies but not sure what time hubby will be out of work tonight. So if we don't go I think I will make and can some blueberry pie filling I don't have a lot of blueberries left so it shouldn't take me long.

LOL! I'm afraid those days are behind me, too! Like the old Hank song says, "And the hangovers hurt more than they used to."

Had a good friend get married last summer...later than normal. We rented a cabin, took a fishing boat, and got out on the lake and fished. Cooked a steak that night....four of us. Great time.

And they hurt a heck of a lot more than they used to....
