Morning ... Well I was woken up a little after 6 by some very strong winds and heavy rains .. now the sun is shinning and its hot and humid out. We did go to the movies last night and saw the new Transformer movie.. it was pretty good. Today I will make and can my blueberry pie filling and since not everyone likes blueberry pies I will can the filling in small jars which will be perfect for individual pies and toppings for pancakes.

Have a great day
Ah the joys of canning Summer fruits. Strawberries are out in our area, we'll pick some up tomorrow and do batches of jam. Happy cooking Minta.

The skies have cleared here and it's supposed to be less humid this afternoon, although still pretty hot. It looks and feels like summer, and with July Fourth getting closer, I like that! One more full week of work, then a short week!

Merry Sunday MMC ~
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with highs near 80. We're currently at 68 degrees, I'm going to take a walk in a few minutes before it gets too warm. My husband is taking my father to a Yankees game today. My mother and I will be getting together for lunch. Not too much else planned for me.
I hope everyone is well has a nice day!

Happy Leon Day MMC! It's going to be a great day here with sunny skies and a high of 80. The humidity is gone again and won't return till at least mid-week. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Going to my Uncle's for dinner tonight. My brother comes Tuesday and then off to the races towards CIJ and 4th!

Good Morning, Guys.

Hey! Guess what?
<< What, Crown? >>
We are standing on the threshhold of a major Milestone marker.
As in TOMORROW!
<< Wowzerinos, Crown! Which one is it? >>
Stay tuned and find out.

But first, we have to get this out of the way:
Days to the Season: 141
Days to Christmas Day: 183

Now. About that marker. That major one referenced above.
<< Yes? >>
It's the HALF WAY POINT to Christmas Day!
<< Are you serious, Crown?? >>
Deadly serious, little voice. Deadly serious.

Well, it was a nice calm day.....until about 6:00 PM or so yesterday evening.
At that point, the sky opened up. The lightning flashed, the thunder roared, the winds blew and the rain came down in buckets. (No, make that vats!)
But it was short lived and no significant damage was reported.
Today has dawned calm, clear and sunny. Hopefully, it will stay that way. At least that's what is predicted.
(We could use a break!)
We are at 72 degrees here, currently. And things are calm but cloudy.

Have a Super Sunday, Folks!
Enjoy part II of your weekend.

Happy 1/2 way to Christmas Day!

I usually get so excited around the 4th. This is when we start getting so close to the days for the season going under 100 and CIJ.

Today...it bit. I just woke up this morning more excited about it being June 25th and getting close to the 4th than a normal person should. Doc laughs when I tell her and and she said, "Good! To celebrate, why don't you clean up the house?"

I don't think she share my zeal.

Good Sunday evening! Even though it's overcast and it has rained a bit, the first half of the day was a perfect Summer day, bright sunshine and just warm enough. We got to take Loki to the dog park again, where he liked a small Shih-tzu female, and a gorgeous chocolate Lab wanted to play fetch with us. As the day heavywinds down, we're making some strawberry jam. It smells heavenly. Sad that the weekend is almost over but in three weeks, we'll be on vacation, so I'm counting down the days. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and enjoy your night!

Greetings all you MMcers and a very Happy Monday to one and all. Well, the second half of last week was a real barn burner. I won't bore you with all the details, let's just say, it's nice to have in behind me. My first day off (yesterday) was mostly spent catching up on sleep from the previous few days, which explains why I am up at 2:19AM and composing this post.
I was hoping today to get some yard work done, but it has been raining off and on, so we shall see what the good Lord hands me as far as weather. Beyond that (and getting the trash out for pickup today), not much. I do have a few large items that require washing and since they are bigger than my machine, I am going to gather then up and head to the all-night laundromat.
I'll check back with you all in a few hours...
