My Grandma simmered her sauce all day so that's the way I make it too. She was such a good cook, she could whip anything up in no time and everything was delicious. But that sauce had to cook low and slow.

Merry Saturday!
The Hallmark Keepsake ornament premiere is today. I'm excited to see this years ornaments! I also have to do some food shopping at some point. Not too much else going on. My husband said he wants to go out for dinner tonight so I get a break from cooking

Happy Saturday MMC! Another weekend here in the summer. The park closed yesterday due to a rainy day so we couldn't go see the fireworks. I'm hoping next Friday we get to go. Just seems like summer is going so fast and there's no way to slow it down. Got stuff done on my day off Friday so today won't be as much running around as usual for a Saturday. I hope you are all having a great weekend!

Well, with Milestone eleven in the rear view mirror, we naturally turn our focus ahead to marker number twelve.
And let me tell you, it's a BIG one. It's........
Well, let's wait unit today's numbers scroll by first, OK?

Days to the Season: 121
Days to Christmas Day: 163

Now. The next Milestone.
It's hard to belive.
But yet, it's true.
And three weeks from today we will arrive at it.
It's THE 100-DAY SEASON WINDOW, to be followed immediately by a DOUBLE-DIGIT count to the Season!
(Remember, Folks. You heard it here, first.)

The grip of the high heat and humidity just will not let go. We had heat index figures yesterday in the 104-106 range with no breeze.
Today just HAS to be better, right?
Well maybe. If Mother Nature feels like it.
We are at 79 super humid degrees here, currently.

Well, Friends. You try your best to keep cool, and have a Sensational Saturday, OK?

Thanks Crown!! Cooler today here for NcGunny CIJ Bash. Although it just started to rain. I got in a nap from 1am-3am when the neighbor gave me a break watching the pig.Turkey goes in the oven around 11 a.m.

I went to Hallmark for the premiere this morning and came home with 5 Santa ornaments from last year. I couldn't pass them up at 80% off.

Good morning, Everyone! Today is supposed to be a lovely day in Wisconsin. I am planning on working in my veggie garden so I have a good harvest come 'BER season. I am at the library right now, but will have to stop over at the Hallmark Store on my way home. I am curious how busy they are and I really want to see the new Harry Potter ornament.

The sun is trying to come out after a couple cloudy, chilly, wet days ... come on, sun, try a little harder! As Edge noted, summertime is flying by too fast. Only a few weeks until the 'Bers. Even though I don't want to wish summer away, I found myself looking up recipes for warm, soothing winter beverages last night---and found a good one for chocolate peppermint tea!
