Thank you CS!! I hope too!
We did make an appointment with the chiro/acupuncture animal clinic. Jim called our vet to make sure it was all kosher - of course she is out today, but will call back tomorrow. Hopefully between the 2 vets they can get her straightened out!! xx She goes Aug. 3rd.
Sounds good will be praying it all works out keep us posted

Sorry to hear about your arm..I hope it is better soon.
Thank you it is healing but as usual more slowly than I would like. Hoping to go back to work next week with the doctors approval

Writing forum posts for my Master's classes and watching Christmas shows.

First I watched A Solid Gold Christmas from 1983. Does anyone else remember the old Solid Gold show? One of my favorites. A few years ago I found the 1982 Christmas show on YouTube. It was uploaded in 12 parts. I downloaded each part and then downloaded a bunch of 1980s Christmas commercials. I then used MovieMaker and spliced everything together. It turned out perfect, total return to the 1980s and my childhood.

Anyway, now I am watching Christmas with the Kranks. I know it got some bad reviews and some people really do not like it, but it has become one of my favorites.

The movie did bomb, but always felt like it was overlooked by press and people. Plus the great thing is that it happens to be on TV all year long.

I really don't understand why people don't like it. It has a great cast, lots of funny moments, good ending.

Deck the Halls is another I like that everyone else seems to hate. It is not one of my favorites, but I enjoy it quite a bit.

Another one that people seem to crap on for some reason is Four Christmaes. While its not a perfect move always thought it was great fun. Which also brings up a great point is why so many people don't like the great thanksgiving movie "home for the Holidays". This movie is one of my huge guilty pleasures, try to watch it a few times a year. Great cast, great warmth and hey its a rare thanksgiving movie.

here is some facts about it.. This is making me hungry

Filming of the Thanksgiving dinner took more than ten days, using 64 turkeys, 20 pounds of mashed potatoes, 35 pounds of stuffing, 44 pies, 30 pounds of sweet potatoes, 18 bags of mini-marshmallows and 50 gallons of juice that stood in for wine

Happy Summer Friday MMC! Boy it's hot out there. I did my usual run this morning at 5:30 and I came home sweated beyond belief. Good thing I don't run in the afternoons in the summer. That would be pretty crazy. A good but long week this week. Guess I'm not used to working 5 days in a week this summer much. Luckily, I have a 3 day weekend as I'm off Monday. Nothing too special planned that day but probably going to my favorite place to go to on a day off IHOP. Tonight finally we should be going to see fireworks at the park. The last 2 Fridays ran into weather trouble but tonight should be clear skies. Happy Friday!

Good Morning, Weekend Eve Wonders!

And wonder of wonders, we are closing in now on 2017 Milestone marker number twelve.

More on that after the presentation of today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 115
Days to Christmas Day: 157

The Milestone, you know by now, is the 100-DAY SEASON WINDOW.
What you might not know is just how close it is.
ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW.
Yes.
That's really how close it is.
Just check the chart!
And then. Following the very next day. A DOUBLE-DIGIT Season count number sequence begins, as we enter the fast track to our season of choice.

Well, this is getting serious, Folks. The weather service has us under a heat advisory and we are predicted to get into triple digits for a heat index for at least four straight days. We have already had over 300 people hospitalized for heat-related issues.
Enough!
This morning has commenced oppressivly humid at 79 degrees here in the capital city.

But, regardless of the weather, it is once again officially Weekend Eve!
Enjoy it. And have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!

Christmas with the Kranks is an interesting movie. I sometimes watch it around Christmas. I so want to like it, but it just doesn't rise above the lower end of mediocre, in my opinion. The physical comedy doesn't work in a lot of places, and some of the performances (notably Jamie Lee Curtis) aren't very inspired. Tim Allen is always a delight though, and with my own children growing up and moving on to find their own lives, I can identify with some of the struggles that the Kranks have. However, I read the book absolutely every Christmas. It is wonderful and I can't recommend it enough!

Happy Friday All! Another warm day for sure. Not too many plans this weekend. My daughter has a soccer game tonight and my youngest daughter has her Lion King play tomorrow. Sunday I think it may rain so we will probably relax at home and keep it low key. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC!

Actually not bad here at all this morning temperature wise I've got the doors and windows open. Going to get hot again later to day.
Another boring day of sitting around doing my exercises and trying to get my arm to heal.
We have to trim Penny's nails today, something she is not fond of having to get done. She has a couple of claws that get so long they get caught on the carpet when she walks around.
Hoping you all have a fantastically magical day!

Good morning MMC! TGIF!!! Our morning started out stormy!! I don't think it's doing anything right now, but it sure is dark out there!

For me it's work this morning, then I have to bring Emma back to Amishville. She wants to stop at a store there on the way home. And then chaos ensues when Katie the wheaten terrier arrives around 3:30! LOL! This is going to be fun! :D

Everyone, have a Fantastic Friday!!!

Solid Gold! WOW! I use to watch that when I would babysit on Saturday nights after the kids went to bed. I think it came on at 11 pm or 12am? Something like that. Haven't heard about that show for YEARS!!!!
I love Christmas With The Kranks - love the book "Skipping Christmas" even more!! :)
