Good morning MMC ~
Merry Monday!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 84 degrees. Not too much going on here today. I'm just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes before I start cooking breakfast. I did a lot of cleaning yesterday so the house is in good shape. I'm working on a couple of loads of laundry right now. I'm going to take a ride to Bed, Bath & Beyond at some point. I'm making chicken pot pies for dinner, I haven't made those in awhile. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a very happy last day of July!
Good Morning HMC. Sounds about like the weather here for this last July date. Not sure about dinner here yet. It is a toss up between pork fried rice or something tossed on the BBQ. Either way it should be a nice ending to the month. Enjoy BB&B and don't spend too much... ;)

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

What a beautiful day! I was out for my morning walk about 6:15 and it was a bit chilly! When I got in my truck to come to work at 7:45, it was 68°F. That's downright frostbit for south Georgia in July! It's supposed to be in the low 80's for a couple days, and I love it. I know, I know. It's going to be 100° again before the Fall kicks in, but it sure is nice for now!

Nancy had a bit of a rough weekend with pain, but she's calling the doctor's office this morning, so hopefully they can help.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Howdy Brad. Any cooling down time in July I think is welcome by most people now, especially with a month and a half of Summer to go (technically). Sorry to hear Nancy is not doing as well and I pray the medical people will be of some assistance to her. Enjoy your last day of July for 2017...

Good Morning, Folks.

We have reached the begining of a new week. A week which will see us arrive at a major Milestone towards its end. A marker which then be succeeded by an exciting fast track once we drop a digit on one of our counts!
<< Sounds both interesting and exciting, Crown! >>
It is. Just wait for the details.

Days to the Season: 105
Days to Christmas Day: 147

Five short days from today. This Saturday. We will see day 100 arrive in our Season count.
And once that window has been passed, we will begin to experience the thrill of a DOUBLE DIGIT Season count
(These are exciting times, Folks!)

Really pretty nice here yesterday with both reduced temperatures and lower humidity. No rain either.
Today will see the thermometer climb back to 87, but with humidity levels in the 40's, it should be very pleasant indeed.
We have commenced this Milestone week at 63 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a truly Marvelous Monday, Friends!
Thxs Crown!! Btw..I hit up AC Moore yesterday and heard the girls yelling that the stockroom was already filled up with Christmas stuff and they barely have fall and Halloween set. They are renting trailers to put behind the store to handle the overflow.

Greetings Gunny. Like I was telling Edge, if you have a Hobby Lobby, check it out. The stuff is already taking over their seasonal aisles...

After our feast, bingo/gift opening, when the skeeters came out, the girls went back to our trailer & we started watching my new Christmas dvd - we watched I Love Lucy & The Honeymooners. Yesterday morning I woke up early & re-watched The Honeymooners (loved that one) & then the Any Griffith Show, Taxi, Family ties, Frasier, Wings & The Brady Bunch. I loved the dvd so much I just bought another! :D

Can someone tell me how in the world this can be the last day of July????

Wow! Guns N' Roses was amazing and we now have the whole family back under the same roof! Wife just told me we were going to buy groceries in a bit, so I can't stay long. I will see y'all later.
Glad you had a great time! I love that you've been bit by the Christmas bug!!! :D

The gift was well received. I picked up a lovely dog book for his Toddler brother who is obsessed with books. The one I found for him had images of real dogs of many breeds with pull tabs and flaps. Their mom was sweet enough to video them opening their gifts and sent it to me. It started off with Tyler wishing me a Merry Christmas in July and saying "luv you" and "thanks for the gift; what's in it?" And then I heard his mom say, "Open it up!" And he replied, "Oh yeah, I can open it now." Young Daniel with a limited vocabulary, but the dexterity to unwrap his book, started cheering, "Book! Book!" I heard him say, "ank you, awna" without prompting from his mom. On Friday, the boys showed up at work and Tyler had drawn a thank you picture for me. There was the track we walked around at the Relay. An image of him and a taller image of me along with two building-like images, one was wear the popcorn shop was and there other was our tent. That made my day. He said, "I hope you like your Christmas in July picture. I really like my frog game." He helped me find a special spot for the picture to display in my office.

And as for those few days away; O'Malley the cat greeted me at the door and followed me around like a dog for a while after I got home. I'm beginning to think that the old boy actually cares about me and isn't just using me to give him food and clean his litter box.
Awe! That's so sweet! I'm glad they really enjoyed your gifts...and then in turn made you feel pretty special too! Win win!!
O'Malley ~ what a sweet cat! He missed ya!

How cute, a Bullwinkle mug... :D
As for the last day in July... well, every year in the 7th month, we have 31 days and when all those are gone, it is the last day of July... Have a fun last day special lady...
Bye Bye July.jpg

Happy Sunday morning to all my MMC companions. I was off from work last night, so I can wake up fresh this AM. It was a very long week. The Zoo has a new volunteer coordinator and she neglected to let me know about posters that had to be delivered for the Jungle Jubilee. So, for the past few days, I'd get off work at 7AM, come home, change (just a little), get some java and hit the road. Usually finishing around 11AM, so I could get home and back to bed before the next shift. Finished up around 11:35 on Friday morning. Yesterday I was going to attend the wedding of a good friend's daughter, but I did a slight pull in my back on Friday night and so called to say I could not attend. Then, I slept from around 10:30AM on Saturday until 2:15AM this morning. Guess I was a little more tired than even I thought.
Today should be decent weather, so the yard beckons once again. And so July comes to a close and August begins to dawn. I love it!! Also means the NFL Hall of Fame game is this week and the beginning (kind of) of another season or gridiron greatness. Have a fantastic week everyone...

I hope your back is feeling better by now!!! xx

Good morning, friends. I come to you this morning from my deck where the temperature is cool 65 degrees and windy.

THIS IS WEATHER I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

I'm going to sit outside this morning and drink my coffee. I usually get to start doing this around September, but I can't recall doing it in July. Our weather for the next 10 days doesn't call for a single day in the 90's! Pretty uncommon for us. It usually stays in the 90s all during August and then we start to get some days in the 80's late in September. I will take any cooler weather I can get. Makes me think of the 'Bers that much more!

Not too long from now, I'm going to pack my bag and get ready to go. Hopefully, I will get to drop by in the afternoons and visit. If not, see y'all Friday morning!
Hope you have a good week, coach!

Good Morning!!! I feel like mother nature gave us a fall preview this weekend as the weather is so fall like and is PERFECT!!!! I made a couple loaves of banana bread the other day and completely forgot to add the baking soda so it came more dense then we like so instead of wasting it I sliced up a loaf this morning and made french toast with it. Topped them with whipped cream and chocolate sauce ... it was a hit with the family.

Yesterday while shopping a stumbled across a great deal. My mom was been wanting a porch rocker so I started pricing them with the intent to get her one for Christmas. Went to Walmart yesterday for a few things and walked out in the lawn and garden area and found 2 in the clearance section but were not marked with a price. The woman there scanned it and it came up as $17!!!!! SOLD!!!! it will now sit in my shed for the next few months :) Her main gift is now done!
Great idea for the banana bread!
And great find on the chair!!! Did you snag both, or just 1 for her?
Hope you're having a great day!

Hello everyone. I hope you all have a happy Sunday!

Scones
Blueberry coffee cake
Morning glory muffins
Gumdrop fruit cake
Chiffon cake
Lemon curd

All are not ones I would ever use, my own recipes are much better. Although I've never made or heard of gum drop fruitcake before. That's the one I made and it really is not very good. Needs rum.
Those are some interesting things!!!
Have fun preparing for the fair!!
Speaking of rum - the RUM BALLS I made over the weekend were a hit! YUM - RUM! :D :p ;)

Back after weeks of weird shifts. I look forward to catching up with all of my MMC friends. I hope you've all been well.
Nice to see you FKB!!! Hope you can visit more often!! The season is coming...
