Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day. I'm saying TGIW since I will be off the next 4 days. It's rare for me to have that many days off in a row. I told Rollins we'll do a bunch of stuff together and I also am looking at this sort of little summer vacation as my way to get ready for the Bers. Hope everyone is enjoying their week and that the weather is nice like it will be here today. 80 and sunny with low humidity. Enjoy your Wednesday!

Good Morning, Christmas Friends Far and Wide!

And spread the news far and wide, the latest count numbers and the most recent Milestone marker update are here!

First, the count:
Days to the Season: 96
Days to Christmas Day: 138

Next, the marker data:
Well by now, most of you know our next Milestone (hard though it may be to believe) is the 3/4 point to the Season.
What you might not know is that it is only FIVE days away!
Alright. I know what you are thinking. We just can't POSSIBLY be this close to entering the FINAL quarter of the way back to our eagerly-awaited and much-coveted Season of choice, but I'm afraid it's true.
(Yep. Just check the chart.)

Quite a nice heavy rain fell yesterday. About 1.2" inches according to our rain gauge. More fell overnight, so now our total is up to 1.7".
As a result, it has not been as hot. Don't think we reached 80 at our house yesterday.
Today should be clearer but a bit warmer, and we have started it at 69 degrees.

OK.
Carl is ready.
The 'Pines is ready.
The refreshing drinks and fired twinkies are ready.
The entertainment is ready.
And the question you have to ask yourselves is, am I ready?
Well, ready or not, this evening at the 'Pines will take place. Hope to see everyone there!

In the meantime, you all have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with highs around 80 degrees. I have plans with my youngest today, we're going to head to the mall to do some shopping. We're also going to grab lunch while we are out. Not too much else going on, I just need to work on the laundry. Hopefully we'll have time to hang out by the pool later this afternoon and enjoy the weather. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs :)
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx

** TRAVEL ALERT **

As has been our annual custom for many years, we are traveling to South Carolina on Friday for our family reunion. I will be able to post the count Friday morning before we leave, but a volunteer will be needed for Saturday and Sunday mornings
Any interested takers?
First come -- first assigned!

I can do Saturday Crown...if someone else wants to take Sunday. If not, I'll do it.

Thanks, Crown!!!! Can't wait to get some of that sweet iced tea tonight!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I worked like a dog yesterday afternoon. Actually, why do people say that? Lulu had it pretty good yesterday. Anyway, I finally had supper at dark; a couple corn dogs and some cheese curls. I have to say, it really hit the spot! ;)

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I worked like a dog yesterday afternoon. Actually, why do people say that?
Historically, dogs were working animals rather than pets: hunting dogs, retrievers, herding dogs, watchdogs, guard dogs, rescue dogs, tracking dogs (like bloodhounds), performing dogs, dogs that kept rats from overrunning your farm or warehouse ... they even pulled carts. Dogs filled so many jobs, they were seen as hard workers! I guess through the centuries they've earned their status as pampered pets!

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! What a beautiful morning!! That moon last night was amazing! Big ball of orange in the sky!

Going to be a busy day - Gracie goes to the beauty parlor at lunch, then she is going back to the vet at 5:00. After doing so well for 3 days & eating good, she decided to stop eating again & has been just laying around! The vet wants to check her out again, so he asked me to bring her in this evening. My high school friends are supposed to be coming to the lake tonight to ride bikes out to eat! A couple friends are busy so the bike ride might fall apart - I'm ok with that! It's been a crazy week!

Emma's shower went really well last night. She got A LOT of nice gifts! She was overwhelmed. They don't have showers in Amishville & she had never been to an "English" shower. I'm guessing she didn't get much sleep last night! Mom was wiped out ~ I helped her get ready for bed around 10:30 - 1 1/2 hours past her bedtime! Hope she slept ok!!

Everyone, have a GREAT day!!
