How exciting!! Enjoy your days off!! Rollins will be happy to have his pal around!Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day. I'm saying TGIW since I will be off the next 4 days. It's rare for me to have that many days off in a row. I told Rollins we'll do a bunch of stuff together and I also am looking at this sort of little summer vacation as my way to get ready for the Bers. Hope everyone is enjoying their week and that the weather is nice like it will be here today. 80 and sunny with low humidity. Enjoy your Wednesday!
I'm ready!Good Morning, Christmas Friends Far and Wide!
And spread the news far and wide, the latest count numbers and the most recent Milestone marker update are here!
First, the count:
Days to the Season: 96
Days to Christmas Day: 138
Next, the marker data:
Well by now, most of you know our next Milestone (hard though it may be to believe) is the 3/4 point to the Season.
What you might not know is that it is only FIVE days away!
Alright. I know what you are thinking. We just can't POSSIBLY be this close to entering the FINAL quarter of the way back to our eagerly-awaited and much-coveted Season of choice, but I'm afraid it's true.
(Yep. Just check the chart.)
Quite a nice heavy rain fell yesterday. About 1.2" inches according to our rain gauge. More fell overnight, so now our total is up to 1.7".
As a result, it has not been as hot. Don't think we reached 80 at our house yesterday.
Today should be clearer but a bit warmer, and we have started it at 69 degrees.
OK.
Carl is ready.
The 'Pines is ready.
The refreshing drinks and fired twinkies are ready.
The entertainment is ready.
And the question you have to ask yourselves is, am I ready?
Well, ready or not, this evening at the 'Pines will take place. Hope to see everyone there!
In the meantime, you all have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?
Sounds like you have a fun day in store!! ENJOY!Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with highs around 80 degrees. I have plans with my youngest today, we're going to head to the mall to do some shopping. We're also going to grab lunch while we are out. Not too much else going on, I just need to work on the laundry. Hopefully we'll have time to hang out by the pool later this afternoon and enjoy the weather. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Have a safe & fun filled trip!** TRAVEL ALERT **

No need to wait ~ make your own! It tastes even better!!Morning all!! Looks like its a decent day today...exceot for the fact I still am waiting for Eggnog to hit the stores!!
Hope you can get a little relaxation today/tonight!! Lulu deserves to have it good!Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!
I worked like a dog yesterday afternoon. Actually, why do people say that? Lulu had it pretty good yesterday. Anyway, I finally had supper at dark; a couple corn dogs and some cheese curls. I have to say, it really hit the spot!
I hope y'all have a great day!![]()
I hope Gracie's checkup gives you some answers!Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! What a beautiful morning!! That moon last night was amazing! Big ball of orange in the sky!
Going to be a busy day - Gracie goes to the beauty parlor at lunch, then she is going back to the vet at 5:00. After doing so well for 3 days & eating good, she decided to stop eating again & has been just laying around! The vet wants to check her out again, so he asked me to bring her in this evening. My high school friends are supposed to be coming to the lake tonight to ride bikes out to eat! A couple friends are busy so the bike ride might fall apart - I'm ok with that! It's been a crazy week!
Emma's shower went really well last night. She got A LOT of nice gifts! She was overwhelmed. They don't have showers in Amishville & she had never been to an "English" shower. I'm guessing she didn't get much sleep last night! Mom was wiped out ~ I helped her get ready for bed around 10:30 - 1 1/2 hours past her bedtime! Hope she slept ok!!
Everyone, have a GREAT day!!

Agreed! I bought an immersion blender for the sole purpose of making single-serving eggnogs at home when Hood discontinued their vanilla eggnog a couple years ago. They've since brought it back, but if I make my own, I never run out.No need to wait ~ make your own! It tastes even better!!![]()
Thanks Brad! I hope so too! The little stinker!!I hope Gracie's checkup gives you some answers!
I never thought about using the immersion blender, I always get out my regular blender. Although I'm usually making it for other people too. We tried several recipes, but everybody's favorite was the easiest one!Agreed! Hey my friend... don't knock sausage! Nothing like a stir-fry of sausage, peppers and onions (using the leftover liquid for a nice sauce) over a bed of rice.CGY, did you and C'star plan this assault on our rumbly tumblies? First fresh baked goods and now warm, tasty tacos. I don't even have a this - is - what - we - are - having - for- supper - tonight card to play, because I have a supper meeting at a sausage place. Not even close to an acceptable ante up at this game.
I feel like you need a blender of some sort to really integrate the egg. I find with the immersion blender I tend to blend too much and wind up with a lot of foam on top! My recipe is based on an old (1950s) cookbook---just milk, sugar, an egg, and a bit of vanilla.I never thought about using the immersion blender, I always get out my regular blender. Your recipe sounds just like the one I use, except I sprinkle a little Nutmeg or Pumpkin Spice on top! When I made it for Christmas in July I made 2 batches, poured it in a pitcher & stuck it in the fridge a few hours. How much milk goes into that recipe? Sounds like at least 2 servings to me ...Your recipe sounds just like the one I use, except I sprinkle a little Nutmeg or Pumpkin Spice on top!
