Good Morning, Citizens of the great MMC Nation, far and wide!

And looking not so very far and wide ahead, we perceive that one day (rather soon, in fact) BOTH of our counts will consist of numbers with only 2 digits.

But hold that intriguing thought for a moment, while we read and digest today's data:
Days to the Season: 78
Days to Christmas Day: 120

And now for the interesting approach of our next Milestone, the one that will insure a double-double digit count sequence.
It, of course, will be the ONE HUNDRED DAY Christmas Day Window, and it's arrival is now UNDER 3 weeks away.
(Moving right along there, Folks!)

Pretty nice weather indeed for late August here in the south, particularly in the evening yesterday, when it was downright pleasant.
Today should be nice as well, and we greet the second half of our weekend with a temperature reading of 71 sunny degrees here in our sector of MMC Land.

Have a Super Sunday, Everybody!

Good morning, Christmas friends! Been pretty busy here! Went to my sister in laws to watch that fight last night. We had a small feast! It was a good time! Fight was ok, but I didn't watch much of it. Too predictable on what was going to happen. Fun time, nonetheless!

I'm anxiously awaiting our first day with highs in the 70's! We thought it was going to be this week, but the rain never made its way to us. Now, we are looking at next Thursday or Friday. I gotta admit....I'm ready for fall. However, I'm more excited that we crossover into the 'Bers this week...and that is a pretty big milestone for us!

Well, time to start cooking supper for the week. See y'all in a bit!

Merry Monday!
Happy New Week!

I am up early and enjoying a cup of tea on my own. It's a beautiful morning and I am enjoying the view of our garden. Several different roses have bloomed along with a couple of other exotic flowers. It's a holiday here today. Not sure what we are doing yet. We may just stay at home and watch a couple movies. I can't believe it's the last days of August! Mum is already half way through her trip!!! I hope the next few weeks don't go by too quickly. She leaves end of September.

Have a beautiful day and week.

Good Sunday morning! Another work day for me, but looking forward to a 4-day weekend coming up. The weather has been absolutely perfect these past few days and will remain so until Wednesday from the looks of it. We've been able to trun off the ac at night and just sleep with the windows open, such a welcome change. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!
Good morning Martine. Yes, I love the windows being open at night as well (currently 59 degrees). Lucky you for a four-day weekend. I did take an extra off myself and will wind up with Sunday - Tuesday off this next week. Have a fun (and short) week...

Had a great visit with my parents and an older cousin whom I didn't get a chance to visit while I was in Toronto a few weeks ago. Took my mom and my cousin, Reg out for lunch. He tried to buy, but I beat him to the cashier. My dad told me he'd fight me on it and to just let him pay, but I didn't. I said, "You're in my city, it's my treat!" He still tried to slip $50.00 into my pocket, but I wouldn't take it.

It did us both good to see each other. It's been about 2.5 years. We chat on the phone often and I always remember to send him a birthday card in October and a Christmas card, but to be able to hug each other was great. He was always like a second dad. It did me good to see him because he was thought to have had Alzheimer's a while back and had to endure many tests and lost his license only to discover what my husband and I thought all along - he had nobody to converse with on a regular basis so he started to forget things. He seems quite fine for 89. Wish I could drive him back to Toronto on Tuesday, but I'm so swamped at work right now, I can't take any time off until October.

I have a bit of shopping to do today and must wash the kitchen floor. I don't care for domestic shores, they spoil my "play time". HaHa

Happy Monday Morning Auntie. So glad you were able to spend quality time with family members. I have had the same experience with "help" on the tab, but like you I let them know it is my treat and if they really try to press it, I'll say something like... "I'll remind you of that when I up your way." (of course I don't).
My one hated domestic chore... ironing. That is why you will always find me at the dryer when the timer goes off. Hang em' warm and they usually won't require it...
Enjoy the end of the month...

Good morning ~
It's going to be a nice day, partly sunny with a high of 76, we're currently at 63 degrees. I'm just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I'm going to head out soon to pick up bagels and then head over to my parents house for a visit. Not too much else going on. I think I'm going to stop at the pasta shop while I'm out and pick up fresh raviolis for dinner :) I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Greetings HMG. So what are your favorite ravioli fillings? Yesterday was take out via Culvers and this day (finally) will be time for the BBQ. We have had several days of rain that is on and off and even though it was a bit depressing for not being able to do yard work. It seems very light compared to what is happening down in South Texas and Louisiana. So many currently without not only power, but homes as well. I wish them all well. Have a great week...

A Fantastic Monday to you Festive. Glad to hear that you not only have roses, but apparently time to enjoy (dare I say smell) them as well. Enjoy your holiday, there never seems to be enough of them any more... lol.
Have a fun final week of August and the start of the final countdown...
Have a great week.jpg

Morning MMC! Happy Monday as it's the week of transition. August will transition to the Bers which is amazing to think about this week. It's all coming. Today we expect a high of 75 under mostly sunny skies. Again below normal and beautiful weather here in late summer. Seems like summer may not have too much real hot/humid days left this year. I'll take the nice weather. And I hope you all have a great Monday. Anyone already excited for the 3 day holiday weekend?

Good Morning, Breathless 'Ber Bandwagon Backers, Barely Believing.

And the most difficult thing to believe is that we are approaching the 100-day Christmas Day Window and the commencement of a double-double digit count.
Just 19 days in fact remain until that auspicious moment arrives!

Days to the Season: 77
Days to Christmas Day: 119

Truly excellent weather here yesterday, as we prepare to wrap up August and proceed boldlly in to the first of the 'ber months.
(Which in turn means the Blossoms Thread is just around the corner, incredible though that may be to believe!)
This new day and new week morning has begun here in the capital city at 65 degrees, and it should be a decent week.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

I have a local pasta shop that make homemade ravioli with so many different fillings, it's hard to choose. I am limited though since I am gluten free. They do make a few gluten free varieties though and my favorite is the cheese & spinach.
Hope you get some sunshine soon CGYager, have a great day!

Good morning ~
Happy Monday!
It's going to be partly sunny and breezy today with a high of 75 degrees. I'm heading out in a little bit, I have a chiropractor appointment this morning. I'm going to make a Target run as well. Back home afterward to work on the laundry and make a pot of chicken & tortellini soup for dinner. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great week ahead!

Good Morning...happy Monday!! Back to work and looking forward to a 3 day weekend. My youngest as her Meet and Greet at 4 today. She is starting Middle School this year so it will be all brand new to her but she said she is not nervous at all..which is a good thing. Hope you all have a great day!

Greetings Edge. Yes, but it will be a Sunday through Tuesday, instead of the usual Saturday through Monday. Looks to be a dry week here with every day in the very low 80's. Perfect for yard work and BBQ.
Enjoy your five days before the four-day week arrives...

"Happy" Monday MMC friends!

My Gracie could use any extra prayers available. She went back to the vet this morning. Jim dropped her off on his way to work. She didn't have a great weekend. She hasn't eaten since she left the vet on Friday & she started throwing up & she's had some diarrhea again. My poor sweetie! She's breaking our hearts! :(

What crazy weather over the weekend. It was so chilly in our trailer at night. Our neighbor turned on her fireplace! It's August!!! Crazy! During the day was beautiful though! Perfect weather!

Hope you all had a nice weekend! Back to the grind...
