Morning MsRose! Hope your having a great day. Enjoy that coffee!Hello mmc
Have a great day all !
OK I had a little coffee this morning LOL
Glad to see it here..humidity was nonstop all summer.I haven't seen a summer die out so quickly so early in years.
Morning Edge (what's left of it anyway). Weather here will be a bit cooler than yours, but fair skies. Leftovers sounds like the way to go today. I think we have enough here for a couple of meals. Enjoy and get ready for the "real" Autumn weather to begin...Morning MMC! 1st Day of School for most of the kids here. Another big turn as the Bers have begun. Hope everyone is doing ok. Scary looking Hurricane Irma isn't it? Hope everyone stays safe from it. Today we have a high of 70 degrees predicted with showers and thunderstorms. Other than that just hoping today will be a good day. Going to have some leftovers from the bbq tonight. That's always good as sometimes the leftovers taste better than the originals. Have a great day!
Greetings Minta. So you say the kids are not looking forward to it, but you did not mention your feelings... lol. Hope thing go well at the dentists office and enjoy these last few days in the Summer Sun...Morning .. i am off from work today as I have to the take the kids to the orthodontist later today, my youngest is getting his braces off today and my oldest needs new brackets and wires so I will be there for a while. Kids go back to school tomorrow and they are not happy about it LOL.
It was a unique College Football start. UCLA was down by 28 points at the half to Texas A&M and wound up winning 45-44. Nice comeback, but not the way you want to have the season play out. Sorry about the fires, but the warmth of friends had to make up for some of it. Enjoy the day...Good morning!!The Buckeyes sure couldn't play football the 1st half!! EEK!! If they didn't make a come back in the 2nd half I was ready to go sit inside & listen to it on the radio. As I mentioned before, it was SO COLD!! We had blankets around the back of us, behind our necks & over our heads & blankets over the front of us. We couldn't build a fire b/c of the wind! That was crazy weather for August 31st! Brrrrr! But yes, in the end I was happy with the outcome!
Lucy has definitely made herself at home. She lets you know what she DOESN'T like!!! She's developed a personality. LOL!
So far I'm only thinking about fall decorations, but it won't be long!! I may wait until next week since this is a short week. I'll be with Mom over the weekend.
I hope all is well with you & have a great day!
It was 66 degrees in the house when we returned home, last evening. We resisted the urge to fire up the furnace, baked rotisserie chicken enchiladas in the oven, and turned on the lights in the living room. Viola! A more comfortable 67 degrees. We will have to ignite the central heat before month end, but it is too darn early right now.Enjoy your cooler temps!!!
Last weekend we DID break out the hoodies - and the blankets during the Buckeye game!! OMGosh, SO cold!!! That wind!! Brrrrrrr

You are right, the warmth of friends & the laughter were great....as well as the chili at half time!!It was a unique College Football start. Oh yikes! That is chilly in the house & I agree, it's too early for the furnace, though I did think about the fireplace last night! Great idea to cook yummy food to warm up the house! I do that sometimes at the lake. Monday morning was cinnamon rolls ~ and then it got warm enough, the AC kicked on! Hmmm! LOL!It was 66 degrees in the house when we returned home, last evening. You did have a busy morning. That was so nice of you to make her homemade food for her birthday. I have no doubt she appreciated it. I wish you lived closer to me...Ha ha ha!! Today is my birthday too!Good afternoon to my MMC friends. Busy morning that began around 1:40AM. But that's fine, since hopefully now I can sleep till 7:30PM or so before the first shift. With that morning time, I prepared a good friend's birthday gift. Her hubby being a nice and successful man can get her all the "purchaseable" things she could need or want. So I went back to the old standby from the days before then and when she was still my Boss at the Disney Store, a container of homemade Sausage Gravy, fresh biscuits and a Cinnamon Crumb coffee cake. Just back back a few moments ago from her place where we had our "now & then" coffee time.
Like always, she enjoyed it, though since she was going to the gym at 11AM, she will have to wait. Not the kind of food you devour prior to aerobics and weight training. But was kind of surprised that I had done it all this morning, till I added... "What else are you going to do at 2AM? Mow?"
I am so happy to be able to do those things for her. Now it is time to wind down at get ready for the Sandman visit. I hope everyone has a great day and fun at the Pines (it will happen for me one day). Have a fun day and a relaxing evening.
Get ready for the 2017 Harvest Moon...

Love it...my daughters and I are big fan of The Middle and esp love all the holiday ones.I'm watching a Christmas episode of The Middle!![]()
Yep, that makes me want to put up my fall decs! Love the orange lights. I better check to make sure mine work this year - I might need to make a trip to Ben Franklin - oh darn!
Your house looks amazing again & I love your new witch doll. She's a bit creepy, but what neat detail!
Have a great day HMG!
You sure are prepared, I am amazed at your organization. I am a list maker as well, but mostly for work and chores. Enjoy your day Skippy!Well we are inching close to the 100 day mark.
I'm sat here at the minute - enjoying a cup of tea and making lists on the computer and in my Christmas notebook. I am a serial list maker!
So far I have done
So after all that festiveness I am about to go and clean out two lizard tanks. Nothing brings you back to earth with a bump than shovelling sand.
- my Christmas list for family members - and am happy to say over half of them are done now with buying in sales so its just a few cheaper bits to pick up and some toy store vouchers nearer to Xmas.
- my Christmas list for direct family (ie kids and husband) - I have idea for my husband and son and its just waiting until pay day to start buying
- my stocking list for direct family - both the kids are that bit older now so I don't want to fill their stockings with just tat and rubbish that they wont use or will end up binned a few weeks later so that's sorted
- Our Xmas Eve Box - still planning and adding to this but have done something similar every year so it just depend s on whether or not Im working now which depends on how much we get to do!
- Our Christmas food prep list - for Xmas dinner and any little extras we like over the holiday season. Ive been saving store vouchers for this though so have Xmas dinner covered already.
- Winter food prep - in case the bad weather does hit - being on top of a mountain means we get cut off from the local store and our main town is only accessible by two roads both of which are susceptible to landslides in the winter and one is up a very steep hill which is impassible if ice comes.
- Baking list - Im hoping to find time at the beginning of December to bake and freeze a load of homemade goodies so we can cook them as and when needed to save time later on.
Have a good day all
