Good Morning, MMC!!! I'm so over sick nieces , doctors appointments, the moving drama, and other drama going on here. I've put almost 900 miles on the car in the last 2 weeks running between here, my nieces schools, and my sisters house. I just want a day to get caught up!! Okay, enough whining. Lol!! The town my sister moved to is having their fall festival this weekend. So I'll be checking it out when I take my nieces home tomorrow. Then next weekend is the big one here in town. I can't wait for all of that deep fried goodness!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

I hope everyone's Friday is going well!

We had a good time at Fenway last night, even though the Sox lost 12 to 2. It was a bit chilly, but otherwise beautiful weather. I'm looking forward to the weekend, because the last one didn't recharge me fully!

Hershey has Halloween kisses this year with foil decorated with spiders, bats, and ghosts ... couldn't resist snagging a bag of them. On the other hand, I heard on the radio this morning that a local elementary school is doing away with its Halloween party for students because some parents kept their kids at home last year in protest. This year the school is having "an autumn celebration" instead in early November. It's sad to me how holidays that are meant as harmless, fun celebrations are transformed into public political battlefields.

But here is one place in the world where we can celebrate our holidays and enjoy them. Hooray for MMC!

Remember when all the kids used to have a Halloween parade at school? Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations? Blame the people that act like "sheep" and just go along with it. I foresee a fight coming in this country the likes of which we have never seen before. I blame my generation for allowing our children to be raised in a "bubble".

My friend picked up a new lantern for me at Kroger...comes with remote & can change color like shown or be set to stay at one of many colors. FUN!!

Well the weekend just got better - we rec'd a text from our brother from Cape Cod. He's flying his plane home, should be here in about 2 hours! Needs picked up from the airport. YIPPEE!!!

Grand Lake is our "home"! We love to visit Indian Lake too, though I've never been on the lake, we've been around it to the restaurants, trailer sales & marina's.
We have always been big fans of Lake Cumberland, KY. And yours?

I've never been to Grand Lake or Lake Cumberland, KY! I grew up going to Mosquito Lake for the summer and enjoying their fish fry...those were so much fun with all the friends and family there! But I don't live near there anymore and haven't been back in years!

Good afternoon, everyone!

I thought I was going to get to sleep in a little this morning. The Packers game went really late (thanks to a few delays), and then I woke up to a phone call saying that I had to come in early. Two teachers called in sick, so they moved me from Intermediate to Secondary. I'd much rather be secondary (high school), so it worked out well for me! It's been a great day thus far.

Less than two hours now until I get to leave for the weekend. I'd say "go home," but I still need to hit the gym and then probably go for a run shortly after. I had suspected this weekend to be a little quiet, but Kim and I appear to be busy again. A friend of ours had a major leak in his rental apartment a few weeks ago and had to leave. He's moving in a couple blocks away (and closer to us) on Sunday. We're going to help him with everything. It should be a fun experience.

Lots of stuff this weekend. Let's see that calendar turn from September to October, too! Have a great Friday, everyone!

I did find a wedding planner book yesterday, my daughter was very happy with it
My husband did not cover the pool last weekend, he didn't have time to get to it. I thinks he's sorry, there are a lot more leaves & acorns in it than there was last weekend. I'm sure it will be covered by this Sunday.

Happy Saturday!
We're expecting showers today with a highs near 63, we are currently at 54 degrees. I'm heading out soon to do some food shopping. Back home afterward to catch up with my daily chores. I'll be heading back out later this afternoon to run a couple of more errands, including a trip to the pet store. We'll be grilling steaks for dinner with baked potatoes and creamed spinach. Good Morning! I am so happy that the weather has finally gotten a bit cooler where I live. I am not one for heat and humidity, unless I am at the ocean, which unfortunately only happens maybe once a year if I am lucky! I'm going to try and convince my husband to put our outside Halloween decorations up today. I am making him stuffed manicotti with an all day slow cooked meat sauce as a bargaining chip! I hope it works!

Well Folks, the weather just doesn't get any better than this. Rock bottom low humidity, lots of sun, gentle breezes and temps in the low 70's.
I would say it could spoil us, but that's not so because conditions like this are so rare.
(We shall certainly enjoy them while they last, of course!)
Currently, we are starting off sunny at a pleasantly cool 62 degrees here in the capital city.
