Everyone had a great time. Lol..they might now be approaching some record for the amount of Hotwheel cars owned by two boys. My buddy gave them each a 1960's vintage Redline Hotwheels car encased in a acrylic box. Just for show..lol

Hotwheels weren't a thing in my house because I have all girls. My husband bought himself a Prowler for his 50th birthday and that reminds me of a real life Hotwheels car.

I've never been to Grand Lake or Lake Cumberland, KY! I grew up going to Mosquito Lake for the summer and enjoying their fish fry...those were so much fun with all the friends and family there! But I don't live near there anymore and haven't been back in years!

I had to look up mosquito lake! Looks like a nice place. Were there a lot of mosquito's there?? (We difintely have our share at the lake - yuck!)

Good Morning! I am so happy that the weather has finally gotten a bit cooler where I live. I am not one for heat and humidity, unless I am at the ocean, which unfortunately only happens maybe once a year if I am lucky! I'm going to try and convince my husband to put our outside Halloween decorations up today. I am making him stuffed manicotti with an all day slow cooked meat sauce as a bargaining chip! I hope it works!

I hope the stuffed manicotti worked & you got your Halloween decs up!!

I did find a wedding planner book yesterday, my daughter was very happy with it
My husband did not cover the pool last weekend, he didn't have time to get to it. I thinks he's sorry, there are a lot more leaves & acorns in it than there was last weekend. I'm sure it will be covered by this Sunday.

It's been a long time since I've checked in here, but I'm really starting to get into the Christmas Spirit (not that I'm ever really out of it, but you know what I mean) There's something nice about seeing Christmas food start to appear in the supermarkets, and there's been more Christmas music coming out my speakers too lately.

So with that in mind, I thought I'd check in here for the first time in a while. I hope everybody is doing well!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

We had to go shopping for a new dishwasher this morning ... while we were at Sears, I noticed a section of Christmas trees, ornaments, and holiday toys nearby, so we had to walk through. We bought a dancing Snoopy in a Santa hat, holding Woodstock nestled in a stocking, for a friend of ours who loves Peanuts. Took some of the sting out of the cost of buying a major appliance!

Chilly and cloudy today, and Mr. is just starting a nasty cold. I hope I can dodge it, but I dunno.

I hope your hubby is feeling better & you can stay clear from catching his cold!! xx

Well tommorow October starts, which for me is the unofficial beginning of the Holiday season. Just because looking forward, we wont reach over 75 for the rest of the year here, and stores tend to start getting in the spirit October 1st. I have a buddy who works at Walmart who tells me they will begin mixing Holiday music into their Shopping Playlist tommorow. Crazy how fast 2017 has gone, but I cant say Im sad to see it go!

Good Morning and Happy 1st day of Oct. Well so far its been a busy weekend. Our daughter turns 16 today so we had a party for her last night and according to her she had a blast. We have our nephews 1st birthday party later today but before then I plan on getting the inside of the house decorated for fall and Halloween. Still need to get the outside decorations down from the garage attic and before the end of this week the outside will be decorated for Halloween. Have a great day!

Good Sunday afternoon! Beautiful weather continuing here. We took Loki to the dog park this morning. A minitiature black Schnauzer who looked sooooo much like him took a bit too much of a liking to our little dog, kept following him around and Loki was having none of it. David is watching the latest Spiderman right now (I'm half watching) and I'm waiting for a load of laundry to be done. A relaxed day for us. Hope everyone is enjoying a great weekend.

Well we sure can't blame that mini schnauzer for taking a liking to cute little Loki!

Just waking up to the news about the shooting in Vegas. I am horrified. It's heartbreaking. Thoughts and prayers to all who are affected.
I have an appointment today with my naturopathic doctor. I don't think I have any errands to run so I'll just be working on the laundry. I'm going to make a big pot of chicken soup for dinner, I want some comfort food. It's chilly out this morning, we're currently at 48 degrees but it will warm up to 72.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day.

Morning MMC! It's going to be perfect today with a high of 72 under sunny skies. You can't ask for much more of a nicer day at any time of the year. The weekend was good and Sunday I was actually bored which was nice for a change actually. I am ready for a 5 day work week. It's a new month so it's my busiest week which is a good thing. Anyone watching any good Halloween shows? I saw some nice decorations out this weekend. Looks like we're at that time of year again. Have a great Monday!

Awful news in Las Vegas this morning; sending prayers for all those affected, bless their hearts. Isn't that @snowflake22 's previous home? I hope none of her friends were hurt.

In brighter news, my daughter was a Junior Class Representative at the Homecoming game at her school Friday night. It rained a bit, but I held an umbrella for her as I escorted my beautiful daughter out onto the field. I was so proud!

Then we had Homecoming at Church Sunday morning, with an AWESOME lunch afterwards!

Good morning MMC! Merry Monday! Looks like another beautiful day! I see in the extended forecast their are a couple nights in the 30's. Not ready, not ready, not ready!

So "nice" to get to work this morning & hear the news about Vegas! UGH! What is wrong with people! SO sad!!

I hope you all had a nice weekend. We did - just went too fast, as always. It was such a nice surprise to see my brother again! My nieces bridal shower was good too. It was fun for a shower! We tried to watch the Buckeyes outside but we gave up. It was SO cold - that wind!! And the game was a blow out. Lucy had a fun weekend with all her lake friends & Jackson. I think my brother filled his phone with Lucy pictures. HA!

Now, back to reality!! Everyone, have a great day!!

Good Morning everyone. Here we are the first full week of October. As usual, I have been keeping fairly busy and today will be no exception. Time to change out some lights for the "Trick or Treating" season and get some more accomplished in my garage.
One of the elderly women I know from my church ran into me at Wal-Mart while I was working and relayed some sad news, she was found to be with inoperable cancer and the doctor said her chances of making it to the end of the year were not good. She was obviously in some level of pain, but said the medications she was given helped her to keep going. She was not at all bitter, reminding me that we all had to face this time sooner or later in life. We chatted for a few minutes. I think she was more concerned about me being on the clock than I was. It was hard to know exactly what to say when this kind of information comes out of the blue. Of course I told her that I would keep her in my prayers. Hopefully, I will get the time to go and see her before the Lord calls her home.
I trust all of you are in good spirits and that those in your households are doing well. Have a great Monday and a solid 1st week...
