Good morning everyone! I agree with everyone, this weather has to go! It is rainy and humid; both of which I hate! I'm heading over to my brothers today to watch football and I told him to make a pot of chili and crank the air and we will pretend it is 50 degrees outside! I'm 1-3 in my fantasy football league so I am desperate for a win today! Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

It's SO muggy here, and it's supposed to pour rain tomorrow. Doesn't matter to me, because I'm down with a really lousy cold. My nose is clearing up, but I'm still coughing and my voice is AWFUL. Time for some more hot tea with lemon and honey, I think.

Time to mainline Nyquil Merry!! At least its not 105° and 85° humidity and being sick...
 
Gotta agree with Merry/Gunny...it's SO humid out today and dreary and we had some rain and it feels muggy...if I didn't know any better it would be around August 15 right now. Yet we are heading into the 2nd week of October and our "cool down" that we were going to get seems to have been pushed back a week. Mostly above average weather coming for another week.

I'm getting the same effects from drinking plenty of fluids...oh, well!
I'm grateful that my head congestion is clearing up, but I still have a ways to go with the cough and laryngitis.
 
so agree with you all, crazy hot for this time of the year. Apparently will stay this way till end of month !!! So glad we left the ac in.I will copy that snow picture and put it on the wall LOL

Worked on putting together desert for tomorrow, lemon cheese cake. Turkey is defrosted and ready to put in the oven in the morning. stuffing is mixed, cranberry fruit compote ready...tomorrow I put it all together!! including roasted sweet potato, mashed potatoes, gravy and cauliflower.
I forgot to buy wine, but fortunately my daughter had a bottle not yet opened.

Hot, humid, rain... yuck! I really want some fall weather now.
Our air conditioner system is still broke. Of course since it has been extra warm.
In better news, our little league football team won today! So we advance to playoffs week 2! It was a great and close game, 13-12!

Long week ahead; football practice, Quiz Team practice, lots of grading to do, lots of reading to do. No wonder I am tired all of the time.

3 and a bit weeks until we can watch The Nightmare Before Christmas... only after that, ONLY THEN - may i officially listen to Christmas Music. Oh yes. With reckless abandon. I'll start slow... with the "just off centre" Christmas songs, like "The Power of Love", "Stay" (East 17), "Gaudete", etc.. but then, the gloves will come off... and it'll be Wizzard, Slade and all the oldschool British hits - bobs yer uncle fannys yer aunt, wallop, 'ave it - Chrimbooo.

Better lay off the tea a bit. Brrr caffeine.

Happy Columbus Day MMC and Thanksgiving to those in Canada! Today we expect a high of 74 with rain. A rainy Monday blah but this time of year Monday seems more exciting to me as it means another week closer to the holidays. As many said on here yesterday it was horrible weather as in it felt so humid and uncomfortable yesterday I had the a/c on most of the day. And this week looks to be a cool down the 2nd half of the week before it warms right back up on the weekend again. I wonder if we'll ever settle into a cooler pattern and stay there. Maybe by Thanksgiving at this rate lol. Have a great Monday!
 
Good morning MMC, Merry Monday :)
We're expecting lots of rain today, heavy at times with highs near 75 degrees. Not too much going on here. I have a chiropractor appointment this morning and a couple of quick errands to run afterward. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be pulled pork sandwiches with homemade coleslaw. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great week ahead!!!
