I feel your pain, MerryCarey. The three of us have been sick for the last 5 days. Horrible, horrible head cold garbage. Starting to get better, but it is hard to work when you're sick. I hope you get your sofa time soon!

Good Morning, Everyone! I haven't been here in a while again. This past week forced me to slow down. DH, little girl, and I have been battling a nasty head cold. Everyone is back to work and school, not at 100% healthy, but life goes on.
It's been great watching everyone's Halloween decorations go up and horror movies advertised on TV. I already see people complaining about stores being open on Thanksgiving and Christmas creep. Signs of the seasons!

I really have to work at a flakey biscuit. Cold lard, cold buttermilk, mix like a madman so it stays cold..lol. But a dense biscuit is way easier..lol..
Funny thing is..I remember old biscuit guru's never even using a measure for anything.
Shoot, I eat like this all the time. You should try my daughter's biscuits. They are the bomb! Especially while sopping up some local cane syrup! Mmm, mmm!
Oh, it's likely influenced by that, for sure. Not to mention that there aren't many corporations and higher paying wages located in Green Bay and much of the surrounding area.
Happy Friday!!!!! Starting see the Christmas flavored Creamers and eggnog in the stores now. Was tempted to buy some the other day but I didn't have the extra money with me for it. There will be plenty of time for me to get some and enjoy. Temps have been creeping higher then I want right now. Hoping it cools back off again soon. Have a great day!
The Holiday Teas were out in the grocery store today!!!! <3 And I ran 10 miles this morning around the city for the first time by myself! What a great start to a weekend! i'm headed to the mountains for a little r&r and to lead worship for a youth event all weekend. I get to sing and play piano. I love doing that. Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!!
Well, the workweek is almost complete. I have one more class after this. Thankfully, we're to watch a movie. Not a bad way to head into the long/holiday weekend.
Kim, Simon, and I are driving to Cornwall shortly after for Thanksgiving. We're still not too sure if we will get a Thanksgiving meal, however. Her family is super busy and wants to hold it early Monday afternoon. We don't like that. We have too much to do when we return home, so we had planned to leave either mid-afternoon on Sunday (and, of course return for the Packers game) or early Monday morning. Simon doesn't travel too well in the dark, either, so we're always taking that into consideration, too. We'll see how it all unfolds.
We're inching ever so close to our time of year. The 90% milestone tomorrow will be quite an accomplishment for us all. It's going to be wonderful!
