Good Wednesday morning! This week off is going by too fast, as all other weeks it seems. It will be warmer today with temperatures going up the rest of the week. Not much planned today other than a few chores. Hope everyone will have a wonderful day!

Happy Pines Day!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with highs near 70 degrees. Just a typical day of errands and chores. I'll definitely be squeezing another walk in at some point to enjoy the weather. Dinner will be baked ziti and meatballs. I have my sauce simmering on the stove already and it smells so good in here.

Good morning from Michigan beautiful ones! I just wanted to pop in and send a quick hello to all of my friends at MMC. I'm not sure when work over took most of my life, but it's happened. The only good part is I can listen to hours of Christmas music while testing software. I wish you all a little bit of luck so today can be considered good enough.

Days to Halloween: 13 (Now, UNDER 2 weeks remain!)
Days to the Season: 26 (Three weeks and five days left!)
Days to Christmas Day: 68 (Two months and a week to go!)

Rather coolish again, yesterday. (Light jacket weather all day.)
A slow warming trend begins today, and we should reach the 70 degree mark by this afternoon.
We have commenced the day downright chilly, at 43 degrees here this morning in the capital city.


Well, it may or may not be chilly where you are but, as usual, things are hot at the Shispering Pines, where Carl and crew have once again outdone themselves to provide a top-flight entertainment experience.
Drop in this evening and check it out!
But if you can't, be CERTAIN not to miss next Wednesday's open house.

TODAY IS THE DAY!! I get a brand new niece today!! Oh, and my brother gets a daughter.

I'm working until I get the call to rush to the hospital.

Don't you hate that?
I'm working with a skein that, every few rows, there's a big "blob" in the yarn where it wasn't spun properly. I'm frustrated with having to keep cutting and joining whenever I run into a "blob." It's impossible to tell before you buy a skein if there are blobs or knots hiding inside, so the blobby and knotty skeins cost just as much as the perfect ones, even though you wind up with less useable yarn.

Oh ya - the blobby skeins are VERY frustrating too!!! I haven't run into too many of those, but I know what you mean!!! So frustrating!!!
I have a jumbo skein of yarn at home that Gracie got into when she was a puppy. The entire skein is a knotted mess! I still have it, but I don't know why -I guess I'm thinking some day I'll have the patients to sit & un-knot it...I might as well pitch it! LOL

Well, sometimes you can untangle it until you reach a spot that is just too knotted, then cut the yarn and find another spot you can untangle, and salvage some scrap balls that way. I save those for granny squares and small motifs. Or, if it's not worth the bother and fuss, just trash it!

Good morning, everyone!

I'm back teaching mostly the same classes as yesterday. It should be another decent day. Last night was a little tiring. I had my run, enjoyed some tacos, and hung out with Kim for a bit. Then, I went to dodgeball. The only thing not too sore is my left arm (I throw right). Tonight, I just have a easy/easier long run and then a bit of the gym. I will be excited when my final race of the year (I think) occurs next weekend.

I don't think there is much else happening tonight, which will give me plenty of time to get to the 'Pines. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! There's always plenty to celebrate as we keep getting closer to the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

It's a somber morning in Canada. We've lost one lost one of our greatest musicians, humanitarians, and heroes. Gord Downie (frontman of The Tragically Hip) passed away last night after a near two-year battle with an "aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer called glioblastoma."

The Tragically Hip may never have had much success outside of Canada, but they will forever be known as one of - if not the greatest - Canadian Rock Band of all-time. Their music and Canadianity will always have a special heart in Canadians everywhere. Gord Downie will be greatly missed. If you have a moment, feel free to listen to a couple of their slower songs.

How fun!!! When will they reveal when they will switch to Christmas music?

They wont reveal it until a couple of hours before hand. So starting Nov 15th its a daily check to an hourly check of their fb page LOL. They flip it over sometime during the week before Thanksgiving.

Could it be that it's 12:30 and I've got my running and cleaning done for the day? Woohoo!!!! Well okay, not all of my cleaning but the stuff that had to absolutely get done today. The rest can wait until this weekend. I think it's time that I crank some christmas music and head on over to the blossoms thread to post some of these 300 pictures on my phone. Morning MMC! Good Pines Day. Halloween is getting closer. I definitely see tons of Christmas overtaking the stores. The signs are leading us in the right direction. Just a day at work and then some relaxing this evening. I had sent my video game system to be repaired and it should be arriving today or tomorrow. It was under warranty so I don't have to pay for it...just hope they fixed it right. Have a great day.

Hope it arrives back in time for your weekend. I think mine works just fine, of course I have not played it for awhile. I think there might even be a game or two that I have yet to open. It is a top-of-the-line SNES...

Enjoy the day HMG. Tonight the menu here is a grab what you want. It includes pre-cooked hamburgers (need to microwave and toss on some cheese), leftover broasted chicken, BBQ baby back ribs and hash browns with some fresh baked bread. That was all I could handle this AM before I hit the sack here in a few minutes...
