Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good morning MMC ~
Happy Friday!
It’s going to be sunny and warm today with highs near 73 degrees. I woke up this morning and realized our A/C was running. I want my Fall temperatures back!
Not too much going on here. I straightened up the house and started laundry so far. I’m going to cook breakfast soon, just having a cup of coffee and relaxing for a few minutes.
I had mentioned that I went for a stress test last week. Well they ended up finding out I have an arrhythmia and the cardiologist wants to do further testing. I have to wear a monitor for an entire month. I just received it last night so this is my first day wearing it. I also have to go for a couple of other tests so that they can figure out what is causing the arrhythmia. Hopefully it’s nothing serious. I’m so glad I decided to be proactive and make an appointment with the cardiologist. Just thought I’d to fill you guys in.
Anyway, typical day here of errands and chores. Not sure about dinner yet. I’m going to the butcher later so I’ll probably pick up something to grill since the weather is going to be nice. That’s about it for me.

Thanks Festive!! I'm feeling much better today! I slept on the couch last night - had the vaporizer going, loaded up with some Vitamin C, Resp 11, Airborne, Vicks & Essential oils!! Slept great! I've got my diffuser running here at work again today! Need to nip it in the bud!
It has definitely been an up & down year for Mom! That's the one reason I'm dreading this time of year - I just hope she can stay healthy! xx

Its the one thing about this time of year that I dislike - all the viruses, flu and bugs that come with the freezing weather. Praying we are all healthy through out the next few months.

Some people will try to tell you that the flu shot will give you a cold or the flu. Don't believe that. It might give you some aches or sniffles for a day or two (it's never happened to me), but that's a sign that your antibodies are responding to the vaccine and building up your defenses.

Your Bonfire Night and tree lighting are this weekend, aren't they? Have a great time enjoying them!

I will probably get it next week from the local chemist on my way back from the school run. My youngest already got his at school. He was fine. A few sniffles but never complained of feeling unwell. Theirs is a spray up the nose. I wonder why us adults have to have the needle!

Good morning MMC!! Happy, Happy Friday!! It's a dark & dreary morning here. Started out at 50º! Just work for me this morning & I have to be at moms by 2:30 this afternoon. Not many plans for the weekend, & that's ok!

Good Morning, MMC!!! Its going to be a decent day here with a high around 60. Things are kinda subdue here. My sister's ex FIL passed away yesterday morning. My nieces are devasted. This is the first time they've really had to deal with a death. They stayed with their dad last night because he didn't want to be alone either. I know he had all of his arraignments already planned and paid for so we are just waiting for the times. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Sorry to hear this for your nieces..will keep them in my prayers.

Its the one thing about this time of year that I dislike - all the viruses, flu and bugs that come with the freezing weather. Praying we are all healthy through out the next few months.

Flu shots = Needles = Me no likely. Lol!!

Nobody likes 'em ... it's just that I hate the flu worse than I hate needles ...

(But being a three-time cancer survivor, I've learned to put up with needles for my own good.)

I have a question for our U.K. members ... maybe you can solve a Christmas "mystery" for me.

We have a recording of a Christmas song that is British and sounds like it dates from the 1930s (could be 1940s, I suppose). "Jolly Old Christmas." There's a line about "Father's got a cigar on." I've Googled for the meaning of that expression, but I haven't been able to find out what it means. Can anyone tell me? From the context in the song, my best guess is that it means he's a bit drunk.

(I hope it's nothing too vulgar to post ... from the vintage of the song, I'm presuming it's nothing that can't be said in public.)

Happy Friday!!!! We took our Halloween decorations down yesterday and got the rest of the outdoor fall decorations up. Hoping to be able to get some Christmas shopping in this weekend and we have another family dinner on Sunday with out of state family. I noticed last night how warm it was in our house. The air wasn't on, but the furnace wasn't running either. Crazy weather!

HMG- Praying the meter and tests shows things can easily be taken care of with meds!!!
