I went to the most awesome Christmas shop last Friday! It's actually a nursery, but in the winter it's transformed into a Christmas shop. I was in HEAVEN! They had the cinnamon in the air, the old Christmas music in the background, and the A/C was cranking!

I've been dreaming about going back ever since!

Sounds like the garden center I always visit the weekend before Thanksgiving---except they don't play music or crank the A/C. It has Christmas around every corner!

Get some photos for the Blossoms thread, Brad!

Sounds magical, Brad. Sounds like the place I want to be right now, too.

Well a Dr. appointment turned into a cardiogram, blood pressure, blood test, a chest xray, admittance into the ER, etc...felt like wow what did I get myself into. Good news is that everything came up clean...or they would have made me stay in the hospital over night. They told me, as of now, the most likely cause was pulled chest muscles. I am going to follow up with my Dr. the next few days per the hospital's request...and "tone it down" for a few days.

this is the tree I made for my Christmas at home cake in the upcoming competition. Still needs decorations. this is about 8" tall. It took 5 hours to make as each bough was made separately and then put on to form the tree.

Good news Edge! A perfectly happy anti climax if ever there was one :)

Day 5 Special Post
2 years ago when I wrote a special post I wrote about memories that I had. Today I would like to talk to you all about the reasons I love the Christmas Season. The world just seems like a better place during the Christmas Season. There's something very special about walking into a mall with Christmas music playing. Everyone just seems a little happier and nicer. There's something special about walking around the neighborhood at night seeing all the houses lit with Christmas lights. And there is something very peaceful about sitting, on a dark December night, right next to my lit Christmas tree with a Christmas show on. There is something amazing about sitting down with my family on Christmas Eve for dinner, the biggest dinner of the year. There is something that still makes me feel like I'm 5 years old when I wake up on Christmas morning and realize it's Christmas. I have felt this way for a long time, and the older I've gotten the more strongly I've felt about all of these things. But the truth is without all of you I would not be able to keep it alive all year like I am able to thanks to you. I know some of us come and go during the year and we all get busy in our lives but it's nice to visit every day and see some of the familiar names posting about their daily lives, what time of year is coming up next, and little thoughts we have randomly throughout the year about the upcoming Christmas Season. Well today all I can say is that believe it or not we have arrived. We're here. The 300+ day wait that we've had is just about to end. We all know time is impossible to slow down but the only thing that I can tell you is the one way that I've learned to slow it down (just a little) is by enjoying the little things. Make an effort to stop at some point every day during the Christmas Season and look at your Christmas tree for 10 minutes, or put on a Christmas cartoon for a half hour, or take the long route to work and play an extra Christmas song in your car. Enjoy it. We can't get this back once it's gone. But I do hope that we all will have many more years of Christmas Seasons ahead together to build up to and enjoy together. Merry Christmas to all of you. It feels amazing to be able to say that we're here...but we are.

Beautiful post Edge. And it rings so true to me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Good Wednesday morning! Currently waiting at the dentist (teeth cleaning only), then I have some grocery shopping to do, a trip to the hairdresser's and then I'll be working on my Christmas music playlist. There will be some laundry and chores somewhere in there too. Hope everyone will have a great day!
