Day 5 Special Post
2 years ago when I wrote a special post I wrote about memories that I had. Today I would like to talk to you all about the reasons I love the Christmas Season. The world just seems like a better place during the Christmas Season. There's something very special about walking into a mall with Christmas music playing. Everyone just seems a little happier and nicer. There's something special about walking around the neighborhood at night seeing all the houses lit with Christmas lights. And there is something very peaceful about sitting, on a dark December night, right next to my lit Christmas tree with a Christmas show on. There is something amazing about sitting down with my family on Christmas Eve for dinner, the biggest dinner of the year. There is something that still makes me feel like I'm 5 years old when I wake up on Christmas morning and realize it's Christmas. I have felt this way for a long time, and the older I've gotten the more strongly I've felt about all of these things. But the truth is without all of you I would not be able to keep it alive all year like I am able to thanks to you. I know some of us come and go during the year and we all get busy in our lives but it's nice to visit every day and see some of the familiar names posting about their daily lives, what time of year is coming up next, and little thoughts we have randomly throughout the year about the upcoming Christmas Season. Well today all I can say is that believe it or not we have arrived. We're here. The 300+ day wait that we've had is just about to end. We all know time is impossible to slow down but the only thing that I can tell you is the one way that I've learned to slow it down (just a little) is by enjoying the little things. Make an effort to stop at some point every day during the Christmas Season and look at your Christmas tree for 10 minutes, or put on a Christmas cartoon for a half hour, or take the long route to work and play an extra Christmas song in your car. Enjoy it. We can't get this back once it's gone. But I do hope that we all will have many more years of Christmas Seasons ahead together to build up to and enjoy together. Merry Christmas to all of you. It feels amazing to be able to say that we're here...but we are.

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! The 2nd one of November already! How did that happen??

Though my drive to work is a short one, it was a beautiful one this morning with frost on the rooftops, gold leaves in the tree's, blue skies & plenty of sunshine! LOVE IT!

Normal day of work for me, then my family is coming over tonight "family meeting" - need to finish sweeping & straightening things up. My sis is bringing soup & I have some bruschetta & cheese ball! Should be a good night for soup! :)

Everyone, have a great day!!

Have a good day, Holiday!! Enjoy dinner tonight!

Happy Hump Day!!
Work for me today and we are starting to get some cooler temps, looks like this weekend will be pretty cold.
I have my Christmas music going now...definitely helps ease into my day.
Hope you all have a merry day!

Good Wednesday morning! Currently waiting at the dentist (teeth cleaning only), then I have some grocery shopping to do, a trip to the hairdresser's and then I'll be working on my Christmas music playlist. There will be some laundry and chores somewhere in there too. Hope everyone will have a great day!
Have a great day, Martine!!

Yeah it's scary when they start mentioning checking if your heart got damaged. Very scary.
It's good that they ran all those tests and thank goodness it was nothing more serious. When I had my pulmonary embolism, I was told that my heart had suffered damage from the blood clot pushing through. That is never something you want to hear. Hope you're feeling better today Edge.

Good morning ~
Happy Pines Day MMC!
It’s going to be partly sunny & cool today with highs near 50 degrees. Not too much planned, I’m going to run to Target and Petco for a few things. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be baked raviolis and mozzarella bread. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Wonderful post, Edge. I have a few tears of excitement building. The Season is nearly here. I can't wait to do all the things you've mentioned. It's strange to consider that the older we get, the more special Christmas actually becomes. It's not for children, it's for everyone.

Only five more days until I can say those magical words for the first time in 2017.

GOOD MORNING MMC !!

Can you believe it, 10 years ago today I joined this amazing place full of wonderful people who all enjoy the same thing.
Thank you to all of you for Making us a place that we all enjoyed going to, usually on a daily basis. Of course there have been times when things Have conspired to keep us from coming here, but even then you’ve all been on my mind.
Thank you to you all for being a special part of my family!

So excited to see the 'Pines for the final time before we enter the Christmas Season! ...I love those little bits of Christmas that appear as we get closer to the Big Day. I also don't mind that Thanksgiving is celebrated as we're in the Season, even though Thanksgiving was a month ago for us Canadians!
