Thanks!
It's been quite cold with frost on mornings! Winter is here! It's been dry for the last couple of days. Lovely crisp winter sunshine yesterday but today was quite dull and windy. Nice though.
What's it like over your way?
The wind chill was seven above this morning, but we will slowly warm up, through Tuesday, in to 40s.

A friend of mine from back home (Sault Ste. Marie) just photographed this at Hiawatha Highlands (a park just north of the city). It looks as if they got hit pretty hard. Good thing they're nine hours west of Ottawa.

Beautiful!!!!

I'll do my best. Purchasing a new coat would help!
Better add it to your letter to Santa!! :)

Thanks!

We've had frost the last 2 mornings & bright sunshine the last 2 days!! Tomorrow night is supposed to get very cold & Saturday our high is 31º. Brrrr!!!

Yes eventually. They charged me 5.00 for the whole order because of the delivery boy..lol
Well that's a good deal but they maybe shouldn't have charged you at all, making you wait!

Good morning MMC!! How in the world is it Monday again already? Did we even have a weekend???

We had crazy storms/tornado come through yesterday. The tornado didn't hit directly here, but in the town Jim works in about 15 miles from here. Lots of building damage. There were 2 people injured from what I'm hearing, but I believe everyone is ok. Jims uncle & his cousin both lost barns. So scary! My bro/sil came flying over to Moms & helped me carry her in her wheel chair down the basement - twice. It's never a good sound to hear those tornado sirens going off! Thankfully our town was spared for the major storms/damage. EEK!
Must be truly frightening; I've seen the odd funnel cloud at a distance, but nothing like that - we never had a sirens or warnings during the microburst we had several years ago. That caused plenty of damage in many areas mostly garages and a few rooftops. Came without any warning so sirens wouldn't have helped anyone prepare. The tragedy of the damage seemed to bring people closer together which is the only good thing I observed from it.

Hope so too. Made an appointment for tomorrow for a Dr. my coworker recommended. Think it's time I start visiting the Dr. on a more regular basis than I have over the past years. Getting older ya know...

Better safe than sorry. I know a woman from the gym (well, she used to chum with my husband's ex-sister-in-law) and she never goes to the doctor. She told me once that I'd never read her obit in the newspaper either. She doesn't work out hard, but she keeps at every day working her legs and arms mainly. She can't weigh more than 120lbs. she walks everywhere although she has a car. In your case being more active and experiencing pain like that, I'm glad you decided to look into the cause of it. I can be stubborn about such things and then wind up getting acupuncture because I wait too long for the discomfort to work itself out.

Good afternoon. My wife teaches at a local elementary school (only 1 in our county). They were warned today of bears hanging around the school. Security cameras have seen them numerous times. It is bear hunting season here so they are on the move. Sheriff deputies stayed at the school as kids were outside and boarding the school buses. Kinda cool.

I see bear warning signs in the outskirts when I travel. Many of our schools have fences to prevent them wandering onto the property.

Good morning ~
Happy Pines Day MMC!
It’s going to be partly sunny & cool today with highs near 50 degrees. Not too much planned, I’m going to run to Target and Petco for a few things. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be baked raviolis and mozzarella bread. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

I've got to get to the PINES soon; O'Malley the cat wants to challenge that old Camel to a game of cards for old time sake; maybe he'll even sample a new rare blend.

Frames

Frame: That which holds a special memory

Here, we frame past and new memories around a season in which countless special moments are captured and shared.

Frame: To put into conjecture an idea or subject

With friends, old and new, we perpetuate and frame the ideal that at this special time of year, there is a feeling of good will, of hope, and of peace. And we frame this ideal not just for a few weeks when the rest of the world does, but all year.

Frame: That which establishes an outlying to build upon and create a new structure

We join together, strangers really, far flung across the globe, united in framing something unique: A community where we celebrate with each other the daily joy and remarkable sorrows, and especially, a joint passion for a season that is somehow able to do what seems impossible today: create a community of sharing and love. And we continuously expand this by welcoming in new believers in this mission.

Frame:

And I again repeat the refrain: In a world surely gone mad, we are able to join together and share a great happiness and frame the conversation that it is perfectly fine to love the holiday season and to share that love with each other.

And so it has come to this: four days until the season.

Thank you Binger , always love reading your posts. I am glad we can all share this special time of the year,

Good for you! Enjoy your long weekend!
(I'm taking Monday off to work on my holidays to-do list, and I hardly know where to start!)
Me too; if we lived closer we could get into some merry mischief together. HaHa

Merry Greetings to all with an extra festive nod to Edge and Binger for the Day 5 & Day 4 special lead up to the season posts. Enjoyed them both and they brought to mind quickly the joy that we share and the simplicity of the season that others sometimes forget to see.

I turned on the laptop to do some work on a project, but decided to come here instead because it's really my time so I wanted to catch up on the special posts among others in this thread so I won't have so much to catch up on when the weekend is here.

Snow was flying around here for an hour, stopped as quick as it started, but covered my car. Supposed to dip down to -12C tonight.

I wanted to make an appointment to bring my new car to my mechanic to give it the once over before the warranty expires as I trust them more than the dealer. My husband offered to set up the appointment when I told him I was off on Monday. He settled for 9 a.m. that means I can greet the season with all here who can make it and then "hit the sack" so I can get some sleep before I start my busy card making adventures after the car gets a quick check up.

Keep a merry thought in your head -lights-
