Hahahahahaha you have me laughing so hard!!!!Bah-humbug imminent - don't attack me all at once
Ok. Where to even begin. Firstly, having also once been a kid, anything "under the bed" is assumed to be vicious and highly deadly. Hence, I call foul on the kid simply recoiling under his quilt without screaming, and then sleeping in the *same bed* in the *same room* on successive nights, quickly adapted to the point of rolling his eyes having realised the threat has returned.
Secondly, having had the theme well-established that he's cream-crackered due to his all-night galavants with said threat, who else thought that that gift under the tree was a Nespresso machine??
Thirdly, .... ok i'm done scrooging. It was a cute advert![]()

Loki never sits still for photos, so I had to dangle a toy over the camera to take this shot. I want to try and wrap him up in Christmas lights this year. We'll see how that goes...@Martine I love the profile pic of Loki. He looks so handsome in his festive red scarf!

DO you get the channel Movies24??? It switches to Christmas24 every year with 24/7 christmas movies. You get the Hallmark movies plus ABC and NBC holiday originals as well. I love it! Light hearted feel good festive favourites with brand new premiers every weekend!!
I have seen the mistletoe promise!
Thanks Crown! Last Weekend before the Season!Good Morning, Brink-of-the-Season Friends!
And indeed, we are nearly to the brink of Christmas Season 2017, as today's numbers will inform us.
(We also continue with our exciting Special Post Series!)
First, the daily numbers:
Days to the Season: 3 (UNDER HALF A WEEK LEFT!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 13 (NOW UNDER TWO WEEKS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 45 (Under 6 1/2 weeks remain!)
(The numbers are just melting down like icicles on a warm day, Folks!)
We are definintely in a chilly spell, and all the dampness and intermittant rain yesterday made for a rather miserable fourth day before the Season.
Today will see the cold weather continued, but without the rain.
Currently, the sun is out at last and we observe 45 degrees on our back door thermometer.
OK! Our remaining Special Post Series:
Nov. 10 (Day 3 before the Season) = NcGunny
Nov. 11 (Day 2 before the Season) = Ballcoach
Nov. 12 (Day 1 before the Season) = Christmasstar
Have a Fulfillingly Fabulous Friday, Everybody!

How adorable is Lucy!!!!!Good morning MMC!!! TGIF!!!! Happy Friday! 22º this morning. Brrrrr!
Well the Christmas bug got the best of me last night! I'm just too curious to see what little Lu is going to think of the Christmas tree! I set up the sunroom tree. It only has 1 strand of lights around it - I always wrap the "trunk" in white lights & then I finished the rest of the strand around the bottom of the tree. I'll put another strand on to even it out, so there is lights on the whole tree, but I'm going to let it like that for now, until we see how she's going to do with it. So far she's not making much of it, but she sure was interested in what I was doing:

If time allows this weekend I might add the rest of the lights & maybe even the garland. Again, pending how much she tries to mess with it! I'm just so excited to have a tree up!!! It's amazing how fast that tree goes up compared to the main tree!! My hubby came home from work & the 1st words out of his mouth... "ARE YOU KIDDING ME????"HA! He'll get over it quick!!

Everyone, have a fantastic Friday!!!

I was just thankful my brother was home - I could have never got mom down the basement by myself!! We would have hung out in her bathroom! Yes, lots of damage. People are still without power & businesses closed. But thankfully only minor injuries!!Must be truly frightening; I've seen the odd funnel cloud at a distance, but nothing like that - we never had a sirens or warnings during the microburst we had several years ago. That caused plenty of damage in many areas mostly garages and a few rooftops. Came without any warning so sirens wouldn't have helped anyone prepare. The tragedy of the damage seemed to bring people closer together which is the only good thing I observed from it.
It’s snowing!
It is getting very white outside
Merry Greetings to all with an extra festive nod to Edge and Binger for the Day 5 & Day 4 special lead up to the season posts. Enjoyed them both and they brought to mind quickly the joy that we share and the simplicity of the season that others sometimes forget to see.
I turned on the laptop to do some work on a project, but decided to come here instead because it's really my time so I wanted to catch up on the special posts among others in this thread so I won't have so much to catch up on when the weekend is here.
Snow was flying around here for an hour, stopped as quick as it started, but covered my car. Supposed to dip down to -12C tonight.
I wanted to make an appointment to bring my new car to my mechanic to give it the once over before the warranty expires as I trust them more than the dealer. My husband offered to set up the appointment when I told him I was off on Monday. He settled for 9 a.m. that means I can greet the season with all here who can make it and then "hit the sack" so I can get some sleep before I start my busy card making adventures after the car gets a quick check up.
Keep a merry thought in your head![]()
NICE!! The only lights I've seen are my own! I was looking for signs of a tree in windows as I was driving yesterday but I saw nothing. Of course it was still daylight so it's hard to see anyway. Don't want to be peeping in peoples windows. LOLWell I did see my very first Christmas lights tonight on my way home from work. It was just a small string of multi colored lights in a window, but no doubt it was for Christmas! Looking forward to more and more as the month rolls on!
