Happy Sunday morning MMC! What beautiful special posts! Thankyou!

a very chilled Sunday here for us, all the school and work clothes all washed and ironed and the tea is cooking away in the slow cooker. I think a bit of online xmas shopping is in store for me! The girls are sat painting pictures.

I hope you all have a great day! The season is almost upon us! -sing-

Good Morning, my Dear Friends!

Well, this is it. Season Eve.
At midnight tonight, we officially enter Christmas Season 2017 and begin to revel in all of its many wonderful glories!

Today's figure release tells the incredible tale:
Days to the Season: 1 (TOMORROW!!!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 11 (SINGLE DIGITS THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 43 (Six weeks from tomorrow!)

(It's almost here, Folks. It really is almost here!)

It was chilly (almost cold) all day here yesterday.
Today should be a tad warmer and it should be nice and sunny.
We begin this final pre-Season day at 39 degrees here in our sector of the great MMC Nation.

Our final Special Post:
(Day 1 before the Season) = Christmasstar.
Posted late last night, to bring a fine and beautiful closure to the Series!

Have a truly Superb Sunday, Folks!
And if you do nothing else, try to be here this evening, as we count down in real time to the moment itself.
Always lots of sentimental fun, every year. You don't want to miss it!

I liked this final countdown before we enter the Christmas Season... but where is the love/filled with excitement option? It's almost here!

I will do my best to return from hockey before the clock strikes 12. Until then, Kim will be taking part in the countdown in my absence. I think she's excited to meet everyone!

It's been a couple of years, since I have truly been here in spirit. There was a time to where I was here almost every day, loved it. I couldn't wait each and every day to hear from everyone and to be apart of the is family. My world came crashing down around me when I came home from work one day, to discover a note on the kitchen counter informing me that my wife of 23 years decided she did not want to be married any longer. And of course, it was right after Thanksgiving and into my Christmas. It devastated me completely. And I had both kids with me at home too.

It did take me an extremely long time to get over that, and to some degree, I know we do, but we just cannot forget those years, so the memories always are there. It also effected me, and my kids in our spirits, for celebrating Christmas. I personally shut down for the longest time and even stopped coming here.

Since those years, I went thru a lot of changes, growth and re-birth in a lot of ways. I've come to know the Lord and I became a born again Christian, I learned to forgive (not forget) but to let things go.... There is a reason for everything in our lives and I found that God has a way of taken those broken pieces of our lives and he re-shapes them into a new future, a new life for us.

I learned to love again, and I fell in love with a beautiful school teacher from Connecticut. After a year in a half of dating between Connecticut and Maryland, I packed everything up, quit my job, and I moved up here to Connecticut. We got married last month.

I'm back here on MMC, and today I felt in my heart that I really needed to do something special, so I looked at the amount on Santa's Sleigh that was short of the 1500.00 goal. And so I just made the donation of 109.00 to reach that goal of 1500.00. And I also just made a 100.00 donation to fund MMC for this month. Why, It's Love. I love the Lord, I love Christmas and I Love MMC and all that it represents in this world that we live in today.

May God Bless all of you and your families.

Great to hear from you, xmastidings! So happy to hear that you've found light in all that initial darkness. So happy to hear you have found happiness in Connecticut. So happy that you've returned to join us just in time for the Christmas Season. Welcome back!!

Because I am having computer issues still and this machine will not always let me access this site, I am posting my Day 5 special post now while I can.

SPECIAL POST DAY 5

And so at last it has come down to this, Christmas season eve.
The day before the most wonderful time of the year !
So much has already been said in our special posts that I almost just wrote "what they said "

But sitting here I started thinking, what is the best thing about Christmas ?

Is it the music?
Is it he gifts ?
Is it the meeting of friends and family over a special meal ?
Is it spending time here with such an amazing group of folks that have not met in person, but certainly met in hearts ?
Just what is it that we love so much about the whole Christmas season?

For me it would be the reminder that a little baby born in a cold, dark, smelly barn, whose first crib was a cows feeding trough grew up to bring life and love to everyone who is willing to accept His gift so freely given.

So let us enter into this wonderful time of the year with hearts full of wonder like that of a child. Let us always be kind and gracious to everyone. Give from the heart not just now but all year long. For it is this spirit that makes Christmas truly special, all year long !

See you all on the other side !!!

Thank you, 'Star. The innocent and new life that Christmas brings to use all is a wonderment of our time here. So happy that we all have a haven to celebrate our love for the Season and so happy that MMC has always brought us all so close together. Beautiful post and a perfect way to venture us as we (finally) stroll into the Christmas Season at midnight!

Good afternoon MMC. Hope you are all well

Good Sunday morning! We got grocery shopping out of the way and soon we'll be heading out for lunch and then we're going to see Thor Ragnarok. It will be a fun last afternoon of vacation. Hope everyone enjoys counting down to the start of the season!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Sunday!
It’s going to be partly cloudy today with temperatures in the upper 40’s. I’m happy to say we have no plans for today, should be a relaxing one. I’m just about ready to fry some meatballs and get a pot of sauce started. Dinner will be lasagna and garlic bread. I’m thinking about making stuffed mushrooms as well.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good afternoon HMG. In the 40's here today as well. Should be fairly relaxing here as well and my only plans are to attend church services this evening. Dinner for Sunday? Chili covered in Cheddar Cheese with baked garlic bread sticks.
Initially was considering going to the 75th anniversary showing of...

Morning MMC! Well my favorite run is on Saturday and I decided it was time to "let it go" and run freely/normally for me to see how I felt. I felt great and 100% for the first time. Think my mind was preventing me from running normal for a few days after I was in the hospital. I got my mojo back yesterday running. Now today we count down the hours to the Christmas Season. Unreal...but ya know what? Time to stop saying unreal. It's about to get REAL.
Greeting Edge. Glad to hear that you are back to your usual self. I can appreciate the MMC version of the start of the season, but for me it will always be the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Have a fun Sunday...
