After only about 5 hours of sleep, I was awoken this morning by a phone call to come into work at Russell. I didn't want to accept it - I wanted sleep - but I knew that my job is more important. It's been a great day. The students were pretty awesome. Now, I am enjoying my prep period. Hopefully having prep at the end of the day will allow me to get out of here quickly and get to the gym, and possibly for a run. Then, Operation Decoration 2017 will commence at home.

I hope everyone has been enjoying the first day of the Christmas Season. My more personable students have come to understand and recognize my love for Christmas. I had a few students today ask if I was extra excited today because I have made them aware that the Christmas Season begins on November 13th. I love having a positive relationship and being able to discuss Christmas with some of them. They're extraordinary kids.

Put on some Christmas music and enjoy the sounds and sights, everyone. The Christmas Season is here. Merry Christmas.
Hi Brent. Glad you have such a positive outlook on your position. Do you guys have anything like this for the upcoming winter season?

I did some Christmas gift shopping this weekend. I've wrapped everything except DD's gifts. She'll be away for a church function this weekend, so I'll wrap her gifts then.

DH & I went shopping for gifts for DD on Friday. We had a day off work while she was in school. Friday night DH put out his new National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Department 56 set. Some of the lights don't work (It would be funny if it didn't cost so much....) so I have contacted the store to see what we need to do. I went to a Christmas bazaar & a Christmas open house with Mom on Saturday. I wrote out a bunch of Christmas cards that night. On Sunday I wrapped the gifts. Listening to Christmas music today. More excited for the season than I have been in a few years.
Morning Whitney. Sounds like you have a great jump on the season. Been doing a bit of that myself as well, but not as far ahead as you are. I am very pleased to hear your upbeat feelings for this year's festivities. Have a great week...

Hey y'all--Merry Christmas!!!!!
I finished my second Half Marathon on Saturday and spent time at home with my mom and dad while my husband worked and was on call. It was a great weekend but I was sorry to miss the fun last night!
Hope everyone has a great evening! I've got some straightening up to do around the house before we can decorate, so I'm going to get on that right now!
Have a lovely Christmasy evening, everyone!!
Hi there DYHWIH. Congrats on the finish and a quick question... how long does recovery take place? :D
Have a fun week and enjoy the decorating. Saw this marathon sign and was dying of laughter...

Thank you both. The MRI went well, everything is normal. I have another test coming up on Friday and then I will hopefully be out of the woods!
xx
Good Morning HMG. Wonderful to hear your MRI results went so well and hopefully the next test will be just as positive. I have one I need to get somewhere down the road as well. In the services, we use to call it the "Intruder Alert".
Have a wonderful week...

That actually sounds really nice. I'm sure you are looking forward to it.
Yep! Although driving on the other side (of the car *and* the road!) is a bit daunting... it'll be the first time since 2010.

Forgive my incessant ramblings about my trip - but the excitement can't be (and won't be!) contained ...

So, that said, i feel once again justified by advising you in earnest...if you have need to visit the south anytime soon, ensure you have "Pie, Mash & Liquor"...

This right here, is reason enough to be champing at the bit for Christmas to hurry up and get here.

A very good morning to you Festive and also to Chrimbo Bear. I trust that all your Christmas plans come off with out a hitch this season (and for the years to come). I do have one minor question concerning "Pigs in a Blanket". Over on this side of the pond, it normally refers to link sausage wrapped up in a pancake. Is that the same there?
Have a phenomenal week...

Greetings MMC world members. Another early start for the day and that means back into the garage to try and finish what I began yesterday. I did get some nice quality time with Connie yesterday afternoon and into the early evening. But a much needed nap kind of got sandwiched in between.
Getting older is not the worse thing in this world, but there are times when it sure seems to slow things down a bit. I hope you all have a fun Tuesday and a marvelous week...

Good morning Edge. I know you are not up yet and since I may be doing my garage thing when you do, I just wanted to say hi and, since you enjoy your jogging, this quote I saw from Milton Berle.
Enjoy and have a great day...

No forgiveness required! I understand how important those trips back home are and seeing family. I only see my mum once a year when she visits from abroad in the summer.

So 2010 since your last visit! Wow I am very excited for you! London is a beautiful place especially over the holidays. It's so great you get to also visit your Dad in the north. Best of both! Eeeek yeah it will feel very strange to be driving on the other side. Do be careful on those mad London streets!

Pie , Mash and a nice ale or german wheat beer always hits the spot. :)

Yeah see my mum once per year too - shame, but that's how it goes. Living abroad eh, nice!

2010 was the last time i drove - my wording was misleading. We've plotted a course taking us almost direct to the M4, on dual-carriageway. Should be ok :D

Ahhh, up north I think you have Pie Mash and Gravy... no liquor (the green parsley sauce). And probably no boiled eels ;)

Morning CGY ,
How are you? Hope that your plans are also coming along.
Pigs in blankets over here refer to sausages wrapped in bacon.

Sausages wrapped in pancakes sounds delicious!!! Think I'll have to make those this season!! The pancakes make better blankets too LOL :D
