I remember our getting to State when I was in high school, in the third act of "Our Town." We didn't win, but I personally got an honorable mention. I was walking on air, because that was the first play I was ever in.

Little Miss Lucy had us up every 2 hours overnight with diarrhea! Poor girl! Something has her belly in an uproar! Hopefully she's over the worst of it now! xx

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I was out again yesterday with a crazy work day. I feel like I'm missing some of my favorite time of the year!! I hope I'm getting a little closer to being caught-up, though.

Elizabeth's One-Act Play won the Region competition last week, and the State competition is tomorrow, so I'll be away again. But if they win State, they also win a three-day acting workshop at Disney World in February. How cool would that be?!

They weather has finally moderated, and it's in the 60's and low 70's for the next 10 days. Nice!

Good morning MMC!

It’s going to take me a while to get used to getting up at 5 AM again. But the little one I’m looking after such a sweetheart very polite. Now if I could just get her to decide on a pair shoes in the morning would be all set.


So I started making the gingerbread houses. The house smells fantastic. Right now there’s a loaf of bread in the oven so I get a break from baking gingerbread. I’m definitely going to have to make more dough.

Since the start of the season we’ve been watching Christmas movies every day. So much fun! Arthur Christmas is on right now.

I have to go find a new Christmas tree yet what we’re going to do next week. But right now I’m rather busy with the cake and the gingerbread competitions.

Just got an email from our butcher saying "Take a departure from the ordinary and try a Beef Tenderloin for the holidays!"
OMGosh, does it look good!! I have never made a beef tenderloin before. Tempting! Might have to give it a try sometime! Anyone have experience with it?

Yes, we have made one before it is great. I def agree with the High heat method, I think it make it comes out more tender.

Good Tuesday morning! Woke up at about 2:40am and wasn't able to fall back asleep until about 4:30am. Feeling quite tired this morning. So many things to catch up at work and our work Christmas party is less than two weeks away and that means I have so many things to coordinate with our social committee, I'm even more tired just thinking about it all. Going to go on a long walk with Loki to try and get energized a bit. Have awonderful day everyone!

Greetings Martine. I beat you by a few hours. Was up at 12:25AM and did some MMC catching up and a lot of garage cleaning. Then a quick trip to the Post Office and the Vet, a stop at Wal-Mart and now I'm going to call it quits for the time being.

Looks like a dreary day today.
Not too much planned besides work. I have to take Andre to the vet today for his yearly checkup. He LOVES going to the vet and all the attention he gets. I am taking Leo on Friday and dreading it...lol He goes into complete panic mode, I feel so bad for him.

Morning SnowflakeMom (well for another 14 minutes anyway). I always dread taking mine to the Vet. They don't panic as much as the constant wandering around and needing extra attention. It's always so much easier when the door opens for them to leave... lol.

Good afternoon ... Well this morning started of on a great note .. One of the local radio stations flipped over to all Christmas music! Now just waiting for the other station to flip over which I expect to be sometime today or tomorrow My son was so excited this morning .. he was dancing around the kitchen singing along to the Christmas music on the radio, he already changed the station on the radio in his room LOL

Well gang, time to hit the hay. The screen is getting blurry and the keys are starting the "wave". This is the beginning of one full week on (Tue - Sat), followed by most of next week off (working on Tuesday only). So I should be able to get a lot of work both in and out done. Seasonal News: In the midst of the senior high retreat, this past weekend, some of the girls on the hayride sang Christmas carols(They also recited the Round Rubber Room poem, but that's a completely different matter)...A neighbor's back fence was lit up with classic, large Christmas lights, last evening...Spotted a lit Christmas tree, in an apartment window, on the way to work this morning.

Recipe sounds yummy Holiday...Yeah the smoker seems like a good idea too....Ok the oven cook is ok but as i said it can get rather tough...Slow cooker you just put it on low when you go to bed and smell it in the morning when u wake up OMG...In the slow cooker i rub it with olive oil then a good sprinkling of sea salt..cup of water in slow cooker to go with it

I will have to think about it! Everything (almost) is good in the slow cooker! Maybe I should smoke it for a bit before putting in the slow cooker. Hmmmm!

Yeah i think thats a good idea..I did tell Festive to hoover up before we jumped back on the lear lol

That is not a fun story. My last prelit was great for about four years... and then Simon made sure the bottom could not longer illuminate.

The whole problem with prelits are the contacts for the sections of tree, the 1st prelits you had to join the lights together for each section assembled. You buy a Balsam Hill tree that is prelit for 2000.00 and it uses the same lights that are on a 150.00 tree. A GE mini bulb has a life of apprx. 1500 hrs of use..the prelits are probably in the 100's of hours. Lol..animals wreak havoc on lights...along with my kids.

Thanks CGY! That's graet they let you know when they have to go out. Sometimes when they get up in age, they forget that part!
