Good Morning, Friends!

Day two of Christmas Season 2017.
Have you been listening to Christmas music?
Watching holiday movies?
Unearthing those boxes of ornaments, carefully put away last year?
Thinking about festive recipes?
(If not, maybe this just might be the time to start!)

But the count goes on:
Days to Thanksgiving: 9 (SINGLE DIGITS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (UNDER 6 weeks remain!)

(No rest for the weary!)


Slowly it gets warmer. Still rather coolish but we are getting there.
This AM has begun at 46 degrees here in the capital city.
It's clear and dry.and we should reach the mid 50's by this afternoon.

Looks like a dreary day today.
Not too much planned besides work. I have to take Andre to the vet today for his yearly checkup. He LOVES going to the vet and all the attention he gets. I am taking Leo on Friday and dreading it...lol He goes into complete panic mode, I feel so bad for him.

Good Tuesday morning! Woke up at about 2:40am and wasn't able to fall back asleep until about 4:30am. Feeling quite tired this morning. So many things to catch up at work and our work Christmas party is less than two weeks away and that means I have so many things to coordinate with our social committee, I'm even more tired just thinking about it all. Going to go on a long walk with Loki to try and get energized a bit. Have awonderful day everyone!

I was like that yesterday morning..I was up at 4am and could not fall back to sleep!! I was ready for a nap by the afternoon.

Good morning MMC!! Merry Tuesday!! We have sunshine today! Chilly, but I love to see the sun!!

Little Miss Lucy had us up every 2 hours overnight with diarrhea! Poor girl! Something has her belly in an uproar! Hopefully she's over the worst of it now! xx

I'll go home & check on her this morning.

Awww she's too cute for words. Is she eating a decoration from your beautiful tree in your sun room? That's the first thing Loki was intrigued by, red ribbon on the tree.

Believe it or not, she has not paid any attention to the tree! That was just some tissue paper I had sitting by the stairs, ready to put away. She found that!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I was out again yesterday with a crazy work day. I feel like I'm missing some of my favorite time of the year!! I hope I'm getting a little closer to being caught-up, though.

Elizabeth's One-Act Play won the Region competition last week, and the State competition is tomorrow, so I'll be away again. But if they win State, they also win a three-day acting workshop at Disney World in February. How cool would that be?!

They weather has finally moderated, and it's in the 60's and low 70's for the next 10 days. Nice!

I remember our getting to State when I was in high school, in the third act of "Our Town." We didn't win, but I personally got an honorable mention. I was walking on air, because that was the first play I was ever in.

After about an hour of setting up the tree and then unfolding the branches, I turned it on only to find out that a full strand of trees are not working. Kim and I went through the lights, tried changing the fuses and had no luck. It's a brand new tree (retails for $400) and a strand doesn't work. I'd say that is a very disappointing purchase.

It looks like we're going to have to take this tree down and bring it back. A discount of some sort best be made, too.

Oh no! How disappointing!! Can you call the store to see what they have to offer?

Thank you both. The MRI went well, everything is normal. I have another test coming up on Friday and then I will hopefully be out of the woods!

Sausages wrapped in pancakes sounds delicious!!! Think I'll have to make those this season!! The pancakes make better blankets too LOL

I do have one minor question concerning "Pigs in a Blanket". Over on this side of the pond, it normally refers to link sausage wrapped up in a pancake. Is that the same there?

I have never heard of pigs in a blanket as sausage wrapped in a pancake. Ours is sausage/smokies or hot dog wrapped in a crescent roll. Interesting!

Greetings MMC world members. Another early start for the day and that means back into the garage to try and finish what I began yesterday. I did get some nice quality time with Connie yesterday afternoon and into the early evening. But a much needed nap kind of got sandwiched in between.
Getting older is not the worse thing in this world, but there are times when it sure seems to slow things down a bit. I hope you all have a fun Tuesday and a marvelous week...

Morning CGYager...Here in the UK we wrap bacon around the sausage.

I have an appetizer recipe like that:
You wrap little smokies in bacon, sprinkle brown sugar on them & bake them at 350º until bacon is crisp. YUM!

Morning MMC! Time to start thinking about Thanksgiving now that our Christmas Season has begun. Everyone at work was talking about it yesterday. Still have plenty of this week to go but the excitement I know will build next weekend. Have to pick out the turkey on Saturday. Hope you all enjoy your 2nd day of the Christmas Season.
