TGIF, Christmas friends!

I forgot to watch Charlie Brown last night!! We never watch broadcast TV anymore, and I don't even think to check the local channels. I'm so mad at myself!
Lunch with Mom & Jim today.

We have to do the dreaded Walmart thing tonight, but at least I'll be with my beautiful wife!

And can you believe we are approaching the three week mark into Christmas Season 2017? Folks, we are just racing away toward Christmas Day at breakneck speed.
(I hope everyone is getting in their music listening and movie watching.)

Today's count:
Days to Christmas Day: 24 (Now UNDER 3 1/2 weeks to go!)


The weather continues to be quite pleasant for this time of the year, with moderate temperatures, plenty of sun, no rain and gentle breezes. Really quite nice!
We currently see a temperature reading of 46 degrees here on our back door thermometer.

The mrs and i forged a new tradition last night. By coincidence, we'd both bought eachother advents calendars, special ones, themed - and had wrapped them up and put them under the tree. We then decided to give them to eachother last night, ready for today to open the 1st door.

We call this new tradition "Advent's Eve"

Nice eh?!

(Clearly i'm not the first to have come up with this, but let me have my moment.... :)

That Rollins is a sneaky one. And he seems to still have that new-puppy energy. Loki tried to eat the plastic wrapping of an empty M&Ms bag this week. I call him our crazy dog.

Great minds think alike, you two were clearly on the same wavelength. I made an advent calendar a few years ago and each year fill it with different chocolates. This morning we were treated to a coconut-chocolate Lindt truffle. Enjoy your calendars chrimbo.
 
Good Friday morning and happy December 1st! I am freaking out a bit at how quickly this end of year is going. It doesn't feel like December though, it's very mild today and grey, it feels like an early Autumn day. Our city's Christmas market starts tonight, but we'll wait until next weekend to go, as David has his work Christmas party today. I'm making an advent calendar for work, where a different name will be drawn each day and that employee will win a cash prize (with chocolate and candy canes thrown in there as well). Since I'm working the afternoon/evening shift, the first name will be drawn tonight. And I watched my first Christmas movie/special of the year this morning: A Charlie Brown Christmas. So it's a very Christmassy morning for me. Hope everyone enjoys a wonderful day!
