Finished Christmas shopping after work today. Yay! Just waiting for an Amazon delivery tomorrow and then I can finish wrapping things, too.

I couldn't decide what Christmas thing I wanted to watch. I wasn't in the mood for A Christmas Story - poor Ralphie. I started watching The National Tree and then kept flipping around from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to Yogi's First Christmas - haha

Had a nice lunch with some gals from work today and now I'm on merry Holidaze until Jan. 2nd. Looking forward to it.

Merry Friday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with spotty showers, highs near 47 degrees. I’m a bit headachey this morning, I think all of this running around is catching up with me. It’s all good though. Hopefully it will pass soon. Today I need to run to the pet store, Hallmark, Target & the butcher. Back home afterward to work on my chores. Dinner will be beef vegetable soup in the crock pot, I’m going to get that started soon. I guess that’s about it for me. Can’t believe how close we are, it’s so exciting. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful Christmassy Day!

Morning everyone!! Merry Christmas!!! Hard to believe it’s only 2 days always and now less than 1 day until SantaUpdate.com starts it’s anual Tracking is Santa. I’ve had off all week and crammed A LOT of Christmas shows in that I couldn’t get to during the season because we have a high school athlete and man does that take up time! At one point I was getting prety low about it, but that’s now changed. I’ve been awake since about 5:30 my time. Just getting too excited about the big day. We have a family Christmas with the in-laws this afternoon then are going out to look at lights tonight, then tomorrow, nothing big is planned, but that doesn’t mean that nothing will pop up. It usually does. Then Christmas Eve is church at 9 and 4 then going to my sister’s for our gathering. Then it’ll just be me and the wife Christmas morning. Kind of a downer, but we’ll be going back to my sister’s so it’ll be good.

It’s crazy how time has flown by. Stay Merry, my MMC family and Merry Christmas. Hope everyone has the best time possible during these next few days!!

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday!! I can't believe this is the last working day of the year...and Christmas Eve is only 2 sleeps away!! We have Christmas at my In-laws tomorrow at noon - for some reason I keep thinking tomorrow is Christmas Eve so I guess I'm gaining a day - in a way!
What are everyone's plans for the weekend? This afternoon I'll bring the Amish girls back to Amishville. As I mentioned tomorrow is Christmas with the in-laws for lunch. I'm going to smoke a turkey for that this afternoon/evening & I'll reheat it in the morning. I'm also bringing a queso dip so I'll throw all those ingredients in the crock pot tonight. We should be home from there late afrternoon tomorrow - my Massachussettes bro/sil are heading this direction around noon today so they should be in tomorrow afternoon! Sunday morning I'll meet my sis at Moms to make the smokehouse spaghetti, then home to make bruschetta, load up gifts & food & head to my sisters Sunday evening. Monday my brother & also our friends are having a Christmas open house, so we'll hit both places. Like everyone, it's going to be a busy few days!!

Morning MMC! Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve. Once we get to 3 Eve's I feel like it's time to get extra serious now. And today I am off. I need this day to get stuff done. And tonight we're going to my Uncle's which means I will be getting home late night. I just slept 10 hours which is rare for me. Hopefully that will fuel me today to do everything that I need to do. Have a great day as we head right towards the big 2!

In New England, it’s a non-chocolate fudge-like candy made with brown sugar and butter. The simplified version is brown sugar, butter, and sweetened condensed milk microwaved together, beaten, then firmed up in the fridge. Today’s the first time I made it.

Sounds similar to the icing, minus the condensed milk! It's gotta be good!

Good 4-days-before-Christmas afternoon! I left work at 2:30pm, thinking I'd finish food shopping and be home right now but traffic and foot traffic in stores is insane. 2 more places to go and then I'll be cooking all night I think. Hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful day!

Merry Friday!

It is still snowing. Even though I finished my shopping, it is what I call "Christmas Shopping Snow", big, fat flakes that melt on touch. I should go out and get stuff for next year.

Cooking is on the agenda for most of the day. In between the dishes, I hope to watch a few Christmas movies.
