Good Morning MMC..happy Friday! My last work day of the year..we are supposed to get a little bit of snow and then turn to freezing rain. They are saying we may have a white Christmas! I can't believe we are so close to the big day..I just need to put some gifts in some bags and I am in good shape.
Hope you all have a great day and do get some time to relax as well!

Good morning. More than half of the office is out today, and the few of us that are here have Christmas music playing on the overhead speaker system. I'm glad it's Friday, but I would really, really like it, for these next few days to go as slow as possible, so as to savor the flavor of Christmas.

Merry Thursday!

Finished Christmas shopping after work today. Yay! Just waiting for an Amazon delivery tomorrow and then I can finish wrapping things, too.

It was snowing out the last time I checked. :)

Be safe and merry!
I'm still waiting on some Amazon today too! :D
We have rain & almost 50º today.
I hope you get to enjoy a white Christmas!!

I'm heading to bed soon. Waiting for my husband to stop snoring.

I couldn't decide what Christmas thing I wanted to watch. I wasn't in the mood for A Christmas Story - poor Ralphie. I started watching The National Tree and then kept flipping around from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to Yogi's First Christmas - haha

Had a nice lunch with some gals from work today and now I'm on merry Holidaze until Jan. 2nd. Looking forward to it.

Keep a jolly thought in your head.
You had quite the wide selection of Christmas shows you were watching! ;)
Enjoy your Christmas Vacation!!!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Friday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with spotty showers, highs near 47 degrees. I’m a bit headachey this morning, I think all of this running around is catching up with me. It’s all good though. Hopefully it will pass soon. Today I need to run to the pet store, Hallmark, Target & the butcher. Back home afterward to work on my chores. Dinner will be beef vegetable soup in the crock pot, I’m going to get that started soon. I guess that’s about it for me. Can’t believe how close we are, it’s so exciting. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful Christmassy Day!

I hope your headache went away & you have a wonderful Christmassy day!!

Morning everyone!! Merry Christmas!!! Hard to believe it’s only 2 days always and now less than 1 day until SantaUpdate.com starts it’s anual Tracking is Santa. I’ve had off all week and crammed A LOT of Christmas shows in that I couldn’t get to during the season because we have a high school athlete and man does that take up time! At one point I was getting prety low about it, but that’s now changed. I’ve been awake since about 5:30 my time. Just getting too excited about the big day. We have a family Christmas with the in-laws this afternoon then are going out to look at lights tonight, then tomorrow, nothing big is planned, but that doesn’t mean that nothing will pop up. It usually does. Then Christmas Eve is church at 9 and 4 then going to my sister’s for our gathering. Then it’ll just be me and the wife Christmas morning. Kind of a downer, but we’ll be going back to my sister’s so it’ll be good.

It’s crazy how time has flown by. Stay Merry, my MMC family and Merry Christmas. Hope everyone has the best time possible during these next few days!!
Sounds like a great week!
-merry-

Since I can’t sleep anymore...I’ll sit down in the living room and enjoy Holly Fraiser and some eggnog.

Beautiful - what a great morning!

** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 40 **

Good Morning, Dear Friends!

So close to zero hour.
So little time left.
So little of our count remains.
(Wonderful, sad and a little scary, all at the same time!)

Our count is nearly done:
Days to Christmas Day: 3 (Now UNDER HALF A WEEK!)
Incredible!

Really rather nice here yesterday. Only a light jacket was required, with our high reaching the low 60's.
Same situation is predicted for today and tomorrow before a cool-off begins.
Right now, we see 42 degrees on our thermometer.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.
And welcome to the LAST Weekend Eve before Christmas!
Thanks crown! How can it be so close, already???

Morning MMC! Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve. Once we get to 3 Eve's I feel like it's time to get extra serious now. And today I am off. I need this day to get stuff done. And tonight we're going to my Uncle's which means I will be getting home late night. I just slept 10 hours which is rare for me. Hopefully that will fuel me today to do everything that I need to do. Have a great day as we head right towards the big 2!
Enjoy your day off & all the fun times ahead!!!

I've been having the same "problem," now that some time is opening up to watch Christmas video. I don't know what to reach for to sit with for a couple of hours!
What a "problem" to have!! :D :p

I tasted it after it firmed up ... yummy! Very rich. I'm going to take (most of :D ) it to the family Christmas on Monday.
LOL - oh yes, be sure to save some back for YOU! :D

Merry Friday!

It is still snowing. Even though I finished my shopping, it is what I call "Christmas Shopping Snow", big, fat flakes that melt on touch. I should go out and get stuff for next year. :)

Cooking is on the agenda for most of the day. In between the dishes, I hope to watch a few Christmas movies.

Be safe and merry!!
How fun! Have a Merry Day!!!

Fingers crossed for a white Christmas. I just checked our forecast. We have rain predicted for today with some snow possibly mixing in tonight. Tomorrow they say AM snow showers. Christmas Eve says Occasional snow showers during the day & snow showers early at night. Christmas says late-night snow showers. Bring on the white stuff!
Hope you have a Merry Day!!!

I agree!! Enjoy your Christmassy work day!!!

Weather-wise: 100% chance of rain for tomorrow, dry and normal temps for Christmas Eve & a high of 40 for Christmas Day & no snow.

Festivities:
Saturday: We'll go to the mall tomorrow for our annual Chinese lunch at the food court & people watching. We usually do it on Christmas Eve, but since it's on Sunday this year, we'll be at church. We are supposed to meet DH's parents at the mall because FIL does all of his Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. However, MIL called me at lunch to ask about a gift he wanted to get for DD, so maybe he is breaking it up over two days?

Sunday (Christmas Eve): Candlelight service at church at 11:00 a.m. I guess they will be putting up the blackout curtains over the windows for this. DH is playing the piano for one of the singers. We plan to eat lunch at one of our local restaurants. For a few years, it was our go-to place for our Christmas Eve dinner. They are closing at 3:00 p.m. this year, so we decided to go there again this year. No plans after that except DD has requested that we make chocolate chip cookies. I always watch the Little House on the Prairie episode: The Christmas They Never Forgot & It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve. We might let DD opens some of her gifts from us since we have to be up and out of the house early on Christmas morning. That way we wouldn't have to either get up early or rush the gift opening process of our little three person family. We're leaving that up to her.

Monday (Christmas Day): Maybe doing our little family gift exchange (see above). DH says DD has to wait to open her "cool present from Daddy" gift on Christmas morning even if she opens everything else on Christmas Eve! Christmas breakfast & gift exchange with DH's family (45 minutes from our house). SIL has a blended family, so all the kids need to be with the other parents for lunch. Christmas dinner & gift exchange with my family (25 minutes in the opposite direction from our house). We rotate different menus every year : traditional, breakfast for dinner, or soups, sandwiches & finger foods. This year we're having soups, sandwiches & finger foods. I'm bringing the chili, mom's making potato soup, & sister's making vegetable soup. DH will make homemade pumpkin pies for both family gatherings. Yes, we have pumpkin pie for breakfast dessert! DD will spend the night with my parents on Christmas night. It has become a tradition for the four granddaughters to get matching pjs & spend the night with Grammy & Poppy on Christmas night.

Tuesday: DH & I are both off work that day. Hopefully it will be mostly a day of rest & recovery! I don't know what time we'll pick DD up from my parent's house.

I hope each & every one of you here has a wonderful rest of December. It's so good to have others who have the love of Christmas in common with me to share the entire year with. This is our time!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

Work has suddenly gone crazy, and I can't enjoy my last day of work before Christmas, doggone it. This is usually a day to hang out and eat from the gift packages sent by vendors, but today has gone bonkers. It'll be over soon enough, though.

One vendor sent us a bag of Ethiopian coffee that is AWESOME!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Your Sunday sounds like mine, except:
  1. Our regular service at 9:30 am
  2. Service at Nancy's family's church at 11:00 am
  3. Evening service at our church at 6:30 pm
I'll definitely have my religion when Christmas Eve is over. :D
