I have a Christmas sweater/t-shirt collection I wear one just about everyday from November -January. I hate putting them away for the "offseason." I was thinking I should keep a few of my favorites out for the whole year. I wear the ones I really like multiple times during the holidays.
Stay safe tomorrow, being west of you down the turnpike, the weather people really don't know what we are getting out here.
Made it through the short school day. Another 2-hour delay tomorrow. The same or closed on Friday... we will see.
This winter is already soooo much better than the last two years which were warm and rainy. We already have had more snow this year than all of last winter. It is usually late January or February before we get our good snows. I hope the cold and snow keeps up!

Final day of my vacation today, but with this nasty winter storm coming I may have to call out for safety reasons, another reason is for the stress issues I had leading to my breakdown could be set off while driving in it. I guess this is my new reality after a breakdown.
This morning I received an email from the Spirit of Springfield organization informing I won season tickets for 2018 for Bright Nights at Forest Park. It is a Christmas light display that has been going on for 20 something years. I entered the contest in November and forgot about it until this email came in, my family and I are very excited.

I also got in the mail a collectable Santa I ordered right after Christmas, it is Santa holding a leg lamp. It was selling at Kohl's for $113, I found it for $25 on clearance on a different website. So far 3 days in 2018 it's looking very good.
I guess we are in the 8-13 inch range for tomorrow's snowstorm on the latest forecast.

Thanks everyone! Doctor says I have bronchitis, sent me home with a z pack and cough medicine with codeine. Hopefully I’ll sleep better tonight. Kind of looking forward to the snow day tomorrow, it will give me a reason to stay in and rest!

Morning MMC! It's going to be a snowy Thursday here but we should escape the worst of it. We're too far west to get into the heavy snow it sounds like. They are predicting anywhere from 3-6 inches for us. It's just starting so I'm going to try to get to work a little earlier before the roads get bad out. And the good thing is it should stop by early afternoon so by the time I go home the roads should be at least mostly decent. Have a great Thursday aka Friday Eve!
Good Thursday morning! Everyone ih the path of the snowstorm, stay safe. It'll pass much further to the East of us here, I'm happy about that. I have two days off as I'm working this weekend for our annual inventory. Going in for an oil change, some grocery shopping, and later tonight, Loki has his annual visit to the vet. We have a blizzard warning in effect here on the island. The forecast changed a bit and now they’re saying we may see up to 14 inches of snow. Thankfully my husband and the girls are all off so I don’t have to worry about anyone driving today. No plans, just waiting for the storm to pass. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. Stay safe and warm!

We count on Milestones here, too. They help make the long wait seem so much shorter. (And our first one is getting pretty close to hand!)
The numbers:
Days to the Season: 313
Days to Christmas Day: 355
And as figure number one reveals, we are now UNDER two weeks away from 2018 Milestone marker # 1, the three-hundred day Season Window and the beginning of a 200's level Season count.
(And so soon!)
Cold, cold, cold. And predicted to get even colder.
But our main story today is the snow. Only flurries were predicted for Wake county but we got about an inch or so. And with the temperatures not expected to get above freezing until Sunday, even this small amount won't be going anywhere soon. (Would have looked so nice for Christmas Day!)
Our thermometer reads 24 degrees at this hour, but it's calm and the sun is out.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.

We had a great time yesterday! The plant closed, Nancy's work closed and the schools closed, so we had a great day together, playing in the snow!
