Christmas Countdown - 2018

Forgot to mention that our friend brought a BEAUTIFUL bakery cake when he visited Saturday. He had asked them to write "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" on it if they could make it fit. They not only made it fit, they added decorations and put holly leaves and berries in frosting around the sides of the cake. It was amazing! And delicious, too.

The cake looks very yummy!!! That was sure a great thing to have some Christmas cake in January; I like that idea.

Merry Monday MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy here today with afternoon showers, temperatures will be in the mid 40’s. I’m still not feeling well and I’m debating whether I should go back to the doctor or not. I hate to sit in that waiting room and expose myself to more germs. I was supposed to go for a stress test tomorrow but I’m going to reschedule that for the second time, I will call as soon as the office opens. I never expected to be sick for this long! Thankfully there isn’t too much going on here today, I’ll just be working on my daily chores. And playing with the puppy of course. I’m going to make a pot of chicken soup for dinner. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!!!

It's an overcast and moderate day here, cloudy and 75°F. Like CAH (Good to see you!!) posted earlier, here in the south we have all four seasons:

• Summer
• Still Summer
• Christmas

Maybe I can find a Christmas card with a nice scene, and use it as a backdrop for tiny Santa and tiny evergreen. Maybe in a Mason jar, like a ship in a bottle ... hmmm ...

Lucy IS a little devil, filled with plenty of entertainment! LOL! She was introduced to the electric fence over the weekend. EEK! She did really well!! Knocking on wood!
Glad you had a good weekend!! And I am liking my new tree too. Makes taking down the big tree a little less sad.
Christmas Inheritance is on Netflix! Good movie!

We have an electric fence too and my pups do great on it but last week our plow guy broke the wire and the dogs didn't realize it until Saturday. I let them out and all off a sudden I see Leo (picture a prison break ) bolting down the driveway like a mad man luckily I saw him and was able to call him back!

I will check out that movie this week...thanks for recommendation!

Holiday, what a bummer that your tree has seen its last days. There are several crafty ideas to recycle the branches out there so that you can save a part of it for many more years to come. Love the new tree you might be getting and the one that you did get, too! Have a merry week!

Thanks M! He's back to "normal" LOL! Hope the kitties survived the snow in their pads!! Miss Lucy had duct tape stuck in her pads after ripping it off a Christmas box. She was not happy with her Dad when he took it off. LOL!

You're welcome! I'm glad he is back to "normal". The kitties are now irritated by the puddles of water. They will take a step, glare at me, and then shake their paws. The four stinkers have a lot of attitude! They each have to have their own pile of crunchies in a space separate from all the others. One of them even growls at the big cats so now each one of them has to have their own pile.
Poor Lucy! I hope she learned her lesson about tape!

A damp, chilly day out there. I have a pot of soup simmering on the stove. I'm actually starting to get hungry so I think I'll have a bowl and then get back to my stacks for the store.
