Morning MMC. Happy Last Weekend of January (already). Hope you're all well. I'm having a nice apple turnover. Always have something special for breakfast on Saturday after a long week. It was definitely a long one. I hope you all are well and enjoying your weekend. Going to be 50 degrees so I'm taking Rollins to the park today. Not much nicer weather for January can be expected. Enjoy your Saturday!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Saturday!
Rocky woke me up at 3:30am, little stinker! He ended up falling back asleep but of course I couldn’t. It’s going to be a long day! I need to do some food shopping this morning and run to the pet store at some point. I’m making sausage & peppers for dinner and I have burgers as well. We’ll just be catching up on some shows this evening. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful weekend!!!
Morning HMG. That actually sounds like a calm day for you... ;)
I was not sure about dinner tonight, but the burgers sound like a good place to start and maybe some potato salad or fries. Thanks for the idea and have a beautiful weekend...

Greetings Edge. Enjoy your unseasonably warm day. We are having one here too. The down and back up again over the next week. Weird Winter to be sure.
Have fun at the park. My day will be spent sorting and cleaning. I probably will not enjoy the task, but I will enjoy the finished product...

Good Morning, Occasional Oasis Occupiers.
That's how I have always thought about the weekend. A temporary oasis stop at the end of the journey through the week.

Another benefit to oases is that they give us a chance to relax and fully take in the latest countdown data.

So, if you are properly relaxed (hopefully with a tall one of sweet southern iced tea and a take-out fired twinkie from the Shispering Pines) we shall proceed forward with today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 290
Days to Christmas Day: 332

And as we relax, we can more fully appreciate the looming proximity of our next Milestone marker.
That marker is the ONE-QUARTER point to Christmas Season 2018 and it stands just 16 days ahead. TWO WEEKS from the day after tomorrow.
(How about that, now!)

Warmer yesterday (57 for the high) and it should be even warmer today, with a predicted high of 64 by this afternoon.
We have started off Weekend Day One at 40 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone.
Relish your weekend! (And ketchup on that back yard work too, if you can mustard the energy.)

What a gorgeous and pup and view!

Good Saturday morning all. Just got over battling what I assume was a 24 hour bug. It hit hard just after 4AM on Friday while at work. I managed to make it till the end of the shift, but asked management not to put me near anyone else, just in case.
Got home to a bottle of NyQuil and a ton of sleep. Woke up briefly around 8PM and had a small bowl of soup. Then another swig of that magic elixir and another 6 hours in the sack. Of course I had to call in for last night's shift.
Got up just after 2AM. Throat is still a bit sore, but I guess it is due to how raw it got. Other than that feeling much better. In a short while, I will begin the task of removing most of the decorations in the house and getting it put back into it's usual ten month appearance.
Not much else going on, I hope you all have a "cool" final January weekend and oh yes... 53 days left till Spring.

Hope you are better CG..so much sickness out there!

Happy Saturday!
I am just having a cup of coffee and my plan is to do some cleaning and take down the decorations on my mantle.
I think we are going to meet friends for dinner.
Hope you all have a great day!

Good Saturday morning, Christmas friends!

I dropped Nancy off at a part-time job this morning, and came to work for an hour before I go back to get her. It's getting to be a real pain in the...uh...you know...to have four drivers in the family and three vehicles. I think it's time to bite the bullet and look for another one, doggone it.

Elizabeth got back safely from her two-night stay in Savannah at the Beta Club Convention. She ran in the door, changed clothes, told me she loved me, and ran out for a date with her boyfriend. Grrrr. That boy. Grrrr.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Morning, friends. Two little girls are running around, yelling and screaming! They are dressed like princesses and it is just 8:30....maybe they will be ready for a nap around noon. I know I will.

Lots of rain today and I think we will just stay in and be lazy. I'm not feeling 100%. Hopefully, this will soon pass.

See y'all later!

Thanks Crown! Feels like early spring here ( even though I know it won't last)!

Nyquil is my go-to when I'm sick. Hope your throat is feeling better CGYager and try to rest some more to fully heal.

Good Saturday late morning! So yesterday I went to see a doctor about my cough and I have bronchitis. So she prescribed antibiotics. I am skeptical because if it is viral, antibiotics won't do much. She said I did not need inhalers. I hope the medecine will do the trick because I am tired of coughing to the point of almost throwing up and I am plain tired too. Working today and afterwards we have to go to my in-laws to take care of their birds and plants, as they are currently on a cruise to the western carribean, lucky them! Enjoy a great day everyone!

Ohhhh, I would say that my feelings were exactly the same, if not worse, when it came to a boy dating my daughter. There was one, I remember telling him don’t let the door hit him when he leaves....lol!!!

Ahhhh, time flies by, and it took me a very long time to get used to it, with the help of her mother at the time. But, then, is it truly being used to it, or just, keeping my opinions and thoughts to myself and just hoping and praying that she knows what she is doing and trusting in her judgement.
I just always wished and wanted the best for her as I am sure that you are wanting the very same.

It’s just hard to let go.... even today, she’s now 23 and I still think of her as my little girl!
