Good evening all. Well, my attempt to take everything down was halted around 2PM when I felt slightly dizzy. I decided to lay down for an hour and slept nearly nine. Also woke up to see that our weather report of overcast with a slight wind and 39 degrees ended up with 2" of snow.
Oh well, I'm awake now and will try to get some more work done while the rest of the US sleeps...

Hope you are feeling better CG! Enjoy your Sunday!

Good Morning, Friendly Friends.

And things just keep getting friendlier and friendlier as we advance through the year.
We look forward to leaving winter behind for the promise of spring and the half-way point to the Season.
Then the summer, and the half way point to Christmas Day.
To be followed by the fall - Halloween - the start of the Season - Thanksgiving - and ultimately, Christmas.
Whew! So much to look forward to!

But first things first. Let's look at the latest data:
Days to the Season: 289
Days to Christmas Day: 331

Then, we turn our attention to the closest Milestone, the 1/4 marker to the Season.
It's now just FIFTEEN days in the future. TWO WEEKS from TOMORROW.
(Wow!)

We had a beautiful day here yesterday, with a high of 66, lots of sun and gentle breezes. Simply breathtaking weather for January.
This morning has brought rain and we should stay in the 50's. Still not bad, all in all, since we can use the moisture.
Our current reading is 56 degrees here in our portion of the great MMC Nation, and a light rain is falling.

Have a Super Sunday, Folks!
Enjoy your Weekend, Part ll.

Thanks Crown for the daily count .... a mild rainy day here today. Good day to stay inside and get some chores done and then maybe watch a movie or 2. We have a local pork butcher store and they had a blow out sale Friday and we got 38 lbs of ribs for $38! They came in 3 packs and each pack has 3 racks of ribs. Got 2 packs in the chest freezer and the 3rd pack has filled both of my crock pots this morning :) Just need to make home made baked mac and cheese and dinner will be set. Have a great day!

Happy Saturday everyone.

It is a rainy day here in Ohio. We actually had a full week of school last week.

We went to a great local restaurant for breakfast this morning. It is a place called "K's" and is well known in the area. It has been here since the 1950s.

I am hoping I am not coming down with an illness, but I have a one of those annoying little headaches that won't go away. My head is all stuffed up and about an hour ago I started sneezing like crazy. It seems like there is a lot of bugs going around right now. There were several students and teachers out last week with various illnesses. I just hope if I am getting something it happens now and goes away by mid-week. My wife and I are going to Detroit on Friday to see Postmodern Jukebox in concert. That was my big Christmas gift. Not only will we see them, she was able to get 2nd row seats and VIP passes to meet the band afterward. I cannot be sick for that!

Well, I hope everyone has a great day!

Hope you feel better soon.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Cloudy and mild today. We're heading into Boston for a Laurel & Hardy film show at the MFA: two films recently restored by UCLA. Looking forward to seeing the sharp new prints!

There is nothing, like the satisfying feeling you get on the inside, from those first few sips of hot coffee, in the morning.

Good Morning!

I've been waiting to get back online here since last night, my laptop did some Microsoft updates and they took till just a few minutes ago to finish. That must of been one serious update!

Well it's raining here along the shore this morning in Connecticut. So, I will be spending the day inside. That's ok, I have a ton of inside things to do today, like cleaning the cat's litter box, pay bills and do laundry; sounds like a ton of fun, lol!

I think my wife picked up a little bug, she's been feeling under the weather since yesterday, feeling extremely tired, no appetite and just blahhh. I hope she starts to feel better today before she has to go back to school tomorrow. Teaching 81 kids everyday, on a good day, can be exhausting enough....

Wishing a good day for everyone today!

To me, that sounds like fun. Love Laurel and Hardy! Have a safe trip and see if you can get a copy of that; lol!!!

Oh yes, ribs and mac-n-cheese. What a great combination together! That sounds very yummy!

Evening Iteach. Have not been to Ohio for some time, but my favorite place to eat there is Bob Evans. I'm an easy mark for good sausage gravy...
Just trying to get over things here as well. I was doing good this morning and tried to get some things done around the home and felt dizzy, laid down and slept for another nine hours. What a way to spend a Saturday off.
Hope you are feeling better quickly and have a great time in Detroit...

Bob Evans, man, do they have some good food there! Love that place! Every time we go there, I walk away like I had a feed bag tied onto me. Highly recommend and always look forward to stopping at one.

So many of us not feeling well, thoughts and prayers for all!
xx

The other night, I went to the CDC's website, oh boy, the flu is just awful this year. They wrote that it is the worst year for the flu since the 2009 flu season and it is widespread in every state in the lower 48 states. Plus, there are so many other icky things that are out there as well, that people are getting.

I hope and pray that I don't get it again. I had the flu shot, but they are saying it is not very effective against this strain of flu that is going around. I got the flu last year, uggghhhh, I don't ever want to go thru that again, ever!

Bob Evans is a local favorite. I have been to the original Bob Evans in Rio Grande Ohio. There is a small college there and I used to teach with some schools who did band camp there for marching band. The original Bob Evans' farm is still there and operating as well. The Evans family is still in that area too.

I hope you feel better as well. I am still kinda, blah today. Not bad... just blah.

Hi there Christmasplease. I love countdowns too. Most of the people who work at Wal-Mart know they can ask how many days till Christmas and get the correct count. Of course they also know my end of full-time employment (God willing of course), which is currently 2 years, 2 months and 1 day.
Have a fun and relaxing weekend...

It's a rainy day here in NC. Now I have to spend my afternoon packing up the Christmas decorations and stacking them in the basement. I hope all of you have a better Sunday than me. Oh well I think there is a beer in the fridge.
