Walmart had a pencil Christmas tree this year that I thought about getting to do the same thing with. It was like 6.5 ft tall but only like 18 inches wide at the base. I waited until after Christmas and they were all gone. If they get them next year though, I’ll probably get one.

Right now, I have a Christmas tree that hangs flat on the wall at the end of my bed. It’s like 3 feet tall and has 50 lights on it.

Yes, that’s exactly what I was thinking about, Tall and not A large bottom. Wouldn’t it also be cool to like go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and purchase one of those electric fireplaces, the kind with a mantle and put that in the bedroom also, so you can decorate the mantle also.

Happy Saturday evening you all. It’s raining here and it’s cold. Stayed in today, and got a lot of housework done. Not a day to be out running errands in the rain.

We bought some Christmas crafts that were on clearance in this little craft store some weeks ago, beautiful things, but they had minor things wrong with them, like needing to be hot glued, or fixed in some minor way. I think I’m going to work on them tonight. Two of the items were grape vine angels, about 20 inches tall, just beautiful. Each one had a wing that was loose and it just needed to be hot glued. We got them for just a couple of dollars and other than that, they are perfect.

They were some great finds.

Oh by the way, I was on-line earlier and I randomly typed in Christmas clearance items, and I was so surprised to see so many things that are for sale at big name retailers. If you get the chance, do a random search and see all the goodies that are marked down super cheap.
 
Good Sunday morning! Woke up around 4:30am so decided to watch Olympic cross-country skiing, which is both riveting and relaxing to me. Sure enough after the end of the event, I was ready to fall back asleep but then I suddenly started thinking about my return to work tomorrow and that kept me awake instead. So at 6:30 I decided to get up and walk Loki and just get this day started. They predict some snow and maybe rain later on. In any case everything will melt right away. We'll spend the day curled up under blankets on the couch watching movies and Netflix. After finishing Mr. Robot yesterday, I think we'll move on to the German series Dark on Netflix. The first episode sure has me intrigued. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!
 
Good morning!

The rain has finally stopped as of this morning. Southern Ohio is flooded and the governor called a state of emergency for 17 counties along the southern portion of the state. We had a lot of rain, but no major flooding. The Miami River is way up and some areas around it are flooded, but it is mostly fields and not houses or roads.

My wife is finally feeling better after being sick for a week. I think it started as a cold and then developed into a sinus infection.

Luckily we do not have much planned for the day... laundry, grocery shopping, lesson planning.

Good Sunday morning and Happy Rudolph Day, Christmas friends!

It was 85° and sunny yesterday, so I spent the day running the chainsaw on broken limbs, and then I rode the lawn mower till dark...in February! That's crazy-talk!

I'm sitting here drinking coffee, watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and waiting for the girls to get ready for church.

We're taking Bernie out to a Chinese buffet for his birthday tonight.

It's a wet and cloudy day here, but that's okay ... I'll take care of some laundry, and crochet in front of the TV. Still feeling run-down from this doggone cold. The cough hasn't quite gone away yet.

I bought the bigger version that has side cabinets for my living room last year and love the warmth that it adds.
 
Morning MMC. A new week begins and a big one as we transition from February to March this week. So fast isn't it? And we had a good time at my Uncle's last night. Other than that just starting to take Rollins to the park every day again. It's time...just light enough to bring him when I get home from work. I hope you all enjoy your Monday!
