It's better in the dark cause I can't see the monsters!!! And yes, one heck of a storm! I got drifts of snow at 16"! It's crazy...and two miles from me, no snow...It was not much fun...But when you think of the poor folks in Puerto Rico, I have very, very little to complain about...

Good to see you! I'm glad you came through the storm alright.

Good Afternoon/Evening christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a Merry Monday so far...Snow has all melted away:(...But forecast is for more snow later this week:)...Wish you all a awesome evening ahead:)

Hey, Prancer! Hope you get snow later in the week!

I'm guessing that is supposed to be 2019? :p Otherwise it's over! :D ;)
How exciting!!!
For the 1st time in close to 10 years we have no family weddings in view!! We had a mad run of them & now there are only 2 (boys!) left! Both are dating someone though! :)
Have fun with all the plans!!!

Oh my goodness, lol! Yes, 2019! Sorry, I’ve been quite the scatterbrain lately. I blame Rocky for the lack of sleep :p
I remember all of those family weddings! I was just telling my daughter about the wine bottle centerpieces you shared a picture of, they were so beautiful!

Good Monday late afternoon. I caught whatever David had on Friday night/Saturday but now with some fever. I texted my manager this morning to let him know that I been up from 1am to 6am and would not be coming in at 8. I managed to finally get a couple hours of sleep and went into work at around 11:15am. I was getting colder and colder by the hour so I left after our Monday meeting at about 4pm. Sure enough when I got home I took out the thermometer and I'm running a fever. Whatever my body is fighting off, I an totally wiped out. Hope everyone has been enjoying their day.

Oh no Martine, I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. I hope you both get well very soon.
xx

Good evening.
Today was certainly a Monday. Not a bad day, just exhausting at school. An assignment I have my American history students complete is a short research paper. Well, every year I both look forward to the paper and dread it. It take a lot of time when I could cover more material, but they need the practice in writing. The issue is trying to teach them how to develop a thesis statement. One would think that they would have that down since they work on the same stuff in English classes... but no, they struggle.... A LOT! It is tiring going from student to student and trying to fix thesis statements and outlines. In the end it is worth it. By the end the vast majority get it and I know they understand it, because when I have them again the next year, they are able to complete papers with little guidance on thesis statements. Oh well, sorry for the venting about such a random topic.

This is also just a busy week. Wednesday is a scholarship fundraising dinner that I have to work, followed by a band and choir concert my oldest son is performing in. Then on Thursday, the High School girl's basketball team is playing in the regional championship game, so I plan on going to that. Saturday is the high school band's district contest. Oh, and Wednesday we are getting new carpet in our house. Oh yeah, and I started my last Master's class today and have about 300 pages of reading to get done and write a forum post about. Yeah... busy! Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. :D

Good for you, teaching your students the basics of writing papers! It’s not just about grammar and spelling, but also about thinking something through, organizing thoughts and notes, and laying out the best way to communicate that information. Valuable practice for higher education.

Hang in there through your busy week.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

Jim's wife was in a car accident Friday night, and is still in critical condition. Thanks to the Lord, the baby was with Jim at home when it happened. I've spent the weekend at the hospital in Savannah with Jim and his mother-in-law and brother-in-law. They can use all the prayers and positive thoughts they can get. Mama has been keeping the baby (actually INSISTING on being the one), and it's starting to tire her, too. She's 75, and Rosa is 4 months. Whew.

I hope y'all have a great day!

Oh man, that’s terrible. I’m sorry to hear that Brad. We will keep them in our prayers.

Just getting settled in now. We didn’t get home till late because we were house hunting. We looked at a couple of them this evening with a realtor (was our 2nd viewings of them). So, we will see what happens next.

I also just saw that they issued a winter storm watch and raised the predicted snowfall amounts to 8-12 inches for our area. I’m liking that!!!! I hope the amount keeps going up!

Morning MMC. Well it's turning out to be a weird week due to the weather. With the power outages we had around here at work they had no heat. We put up with it till 2PM and then went home. Today if there's no heat we will stay half a day and go home. Wednesday we're forecast to get up to a foot of snow and will stay home. I guess this is turning into a shorter week. Anyway, have a good Tuesday!

Morning everyone, I've got some time before I have to go to my lectures today so thought I'd come say hi as I think It's been a couple days since I last posted. Feeling really positive today, the suns shining which always makes me feel great. Looking forward to when it starts to warm up. As much as I love christmas sometimes I think nothing can beat the feeling I get during summer. Going home this weekend for mothers day. I can tell my mum is missing me a lot more than usual so will be good to see her. Going to throw her a nice lunch with lots of treats and prosecco lol, going to invite my nan over as well which should be fun. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good morning MMC, Happy Tuesday!
It’s going to be partly sunny today, temps 40-45. Another storm is heading our way tomorrow, we’re expecting several inches of snow. I’m going to do my mid week food shopping today to get it over with. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I’m taking a ride to Hallmark this afternoon for a couple of cards. My mothers birthday is next week so I need to start thinking about a gift, I’ll probably browse online for ideas. Dinner will be tacos. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx

Good Morning, Guys!

We continue to move forward at a steady pace through the week, the month, the year.....and our count.

The latest numbers tell all:
Days to the Season: 252
Days to Christmas Day: 294

The ONE-THIRD Milestone marker to the Season.
Getting very near, now.
In fact, as of this date, we are down to SINGLE DIGITS to that point.
9 days from today.
(Wowzers!)

It remains coolish but fully acceptable for early March here in NC.
Today is supposed to see us reach only 46 however, with a 90 percent chance of rain. Sounds like a less than stellar day and it has commenced here in the capital city cloudy, at 37 degrees.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!

Wow you are busy, ITP!! Hope you get some down time to relax a bit.

Enjoy the weekend with your Mom...have a great day!

Happy Tuesday!
Work is going to be stressful this week and working some extra hours. We are starting to get into our busy season but it is ok...I'll get through it.
Looks like we have another storm coming our way...they are saying 6-12 inches.
We are having homemade Mac and cheese for dinner tonight with a salad.
Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday! At least we made it through Monday! ;) So far this morning we have a sunny but chilly day!! We had some flurries overnight. Just enough that you could see snow on rooftops & around the mulch in landscaping this morning. I'm sure it will be gone soon. We're supposed to hit 47º this afternoon with rain moving in & changing to or mixing with snow tonight. I guess we shall see!

Just work for me today. Planning taco's for supper tonight. I might get tomato seeds planted this evening - I'll see once! I have pepper seeds soaking. So exciting!

Everyone, have a great day!!
