Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Morning, Folks!

We start the first full week of March today.
The year has really been "Marching" by, in fact. Moving right along at a brisk pace!

The count is moving along briskly too, as today's data will confirm:
Days to the Season: 253
Days to Christmas Day: 295

And also approaching at a rather brisk rate is Milestone marker number four, the ONE-THIRD point to Christmas Season 2018.
It's so close in fact, that as of TOMORROW, we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to that date.
(Believe it or not!)

We had a cool but calm and sunny day yesterday. Pretty good really, for early March here in NC.
Today will continue to see the sun shine and our high should be in the mid-50's.
Our current temperature is a chilly, but bright and calm, 34 degrees.

Whew....flu, strep, and an ear infection has wore me out. It. Is. Awful.

Doc has strep. Bambina Jr. has flu. You can almost smell the sickness, but we are all turning a corner. I actually went to our high school basketball game and we are going back to the State Championship. We are about 15 minutes away from finding out when we play. We are all pretty excited!

What is even more excited is seeing how close we are to the 1/3rd way to the season mark....that is super exciting! Hard to believe it is March and we are closing in on Spring Break. Good stuff.

Happy Monday!
My oldest daughter is home not feeling well...she is complaining of a stomachache.
We have some snow falling outside and got about an inch or so..looks like we may get another storm on Wednesday, they are saying 4-8 inches, we'll see!

Good morning MMC! Monday, Monday!!

Not much going on today except work. It's sunny with a high of 44 predicted! Snow is predicted for Wednesday, but it went from a 50% chance yesterday to a 30% chance today. Boo!

Thank you, Holiday! It's been a crazy time. Great to see you again, too. My Gram would definitely want me merry all the time. I'll miss her giggles and constant ability to make me smile.

Thank you on the contract job. It was a fun week with the new students. Three more months until summer.

It is horrible. My prayers are with his wife and 2 little boys. They are so young. They said he had just left the school before joining the pursuit. He was a K9 officer and was there letting the kids see his dog.

At least he’s going to save more lives since they are donating his organs.

They all have lengthy histories and 2 had active warrants. They should have never been out. It’s really a shame that the cop that shot the shooter didn’t have better aim. I probably shouldn’t say more than that on here.

So, SO sad & senseless!! Hate it!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

Jim's wife was in a car accident Friday night, and is still in critical condition. Thanks to the Lord, the baby was with Jim at home when it happened. I've spent the weekend at the hospital in Savannah with Jim and his mother-in-law and brother-in-law. They can use all the prayers and positive thoughts they can get. Mama has been keeping the baby (actually INSISTING on being the one), and it's starting to tire her, too. She's 75, and Rosa is 4 months. Whew.

I am watching King of Queens right now and they had their Christmas episode on now I am watching their Thanksgiving episode.

Got our power back at 10AM! Very glad for that. Hope the rest of the people get it back today if possible. Rollins kept going near the heat looking for it lol. Now he's got the heat on so he's all happy about that.

Happy Monday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with temperatures in the 40’s, we’re currently at 33 degrees. Not too much going on here today, typical day of errands and chores. I’m going to take a ride out later this afternoon to look at a couple of places I’m interested in for my daughters bridal shower. I need to start planning it, the time is flying by. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Morning MMC. It was a weird weekend as not having power till Sunday morning threw me off. I got caught up and stuff on Sunday though and overall we made the most of it at my Uncle's and brothers homes. Rollins is glad the heat is back as he's next to it this morning. Speaking of heat, what happened to our early spring we started feeling in February? Have a great Monday!

I just got a message from our groomer that their Wheaten, Emmy came down with a bug over the weekend. It was a stomach thing with diarrhea. She wanted to let me know b/c Emmy & Lucy played together on Thursday. Lucy did get sick once over the weekend, but she's been her crazy self!!! So many icky's going around!

OMGosh Brad! I am so sorry to hear this!!! Prayers for Jim & your SIL - and all of you!! May your SIL pull through with flying colors. I'm glad Rosa is safe & sending strength to your mama! Happens so darn fast!!!

So, SO sad & senses!! Hate it!

Yep. They took him off of life support at 2am this morning and the procession to take his body from the hospital to the coroners office is starting right now. Brick his K9 officer is riding in the hearse with him. Even the reporter broke down when they saw that.
