Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy and windy today with highs near 45 degrees. That was quite the nor’easter yesterday. My oldest and her coworkers had to evacuate their office building because a utility pole and transformers were falling in to the building. Crazy winds. Thankfully we never lost power here at home. Not too much going on today, I’m going to do some food shopping this morning. Other than that I will be working on the laundry and I plan on putting my Easter decor out. Thats about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good morning all!

I hope everyone is doing well today. Pretty calm day for me. The sun is actually out and no rain in our forecast.

The school year is heading into one of the busiest times of the year. State testing starts in a month, National Honor Society inductions in a month, then all of the award banquets, and getting things ready for graduation. The graduation thing is especially big this year since I have a senior of my own. So, we have all of that to plan too. So right now is the calm before the storm.

But today, I do not plan on doing much. Just relaxing... I hope!

Good Saturday morning! I hope everyone is safe after that horrible storm. We were spared up here, just a bit of melting snow. David was up all night, I think he might jave eaten something that didn't sit right with him. So no breakfast out this morning, just taking it easy. I've been doing laundry, running a load in the dishwasher and doing some tidying up. Hope everyone will enjoy a nice day.

Another weekend has arrived. That dependable and comfortable end-of-the-week oasis we so covet.

What's also comforting, is the thought that Christmas and its Season is always on the way. That ultimate oasis that we truly covet above all others!

Days to Christmas Day: 297

And Milestone marker number four? The ONE-THIRD point to the Season?
Well, it lurks much closer than you might think.
Just TWELVE days ahead, in fact. Practically down to SINGLE DIGITS, already.
(Now tell me. It that more comforting......or scary?)

Wow. The wind yesterday. Off and on gust that had our 100-foot tall pine trees swaying and us imagining what it would be like if one fell.
No rain though, and it was sunny for most of the day.
Today should be windy too, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. And it has begun here in the capital city at 39 sunny (and so far, calm) degrees.

Good morning, friends!

The sun is starting to peak through this morning. Kim and I are heading out shortly to meet with her cousin. He needs to interview us for one of his university projects. Then, it's an afternoon of running around and grocery shopping. I am kind of in a Christmas mood, so it might also mean a stop at Tinseltown, Ottawa's Christmas Emporium. We'll see though.


I had a nice 13km run this morning. I am hoping to get out for another 15-20km tomorrow morning. I haven't been able to run/workout much the past two weeks due to becoming a contract teacher. Hopefully everything will start to settle down and I can return to staying on top of my health and wellness shortly. It is important to me!

A gorgeous day out, but very, very cold. Just working on store stuff today and trying to clear out the truck so it can be fixed. There is a storm forecast for this area for next week. They aren't exactly sure of the track as of yet so I hope they have predicted wrong and we won't get as much snow as has been forecast.

Morning MMC. Still no power here. We lost it Friday at 2PM. Our power company website says our county will be fully restored by Tuesday night. But if you click on my specific address it says by Sunday (tonight). I really hope the latter is accurate cause it's pretty cold in here. Went to my brothers and then uncle's Saturday night to stay out of the house. Wasn't terrible sleeping under the blankets but definitely chilly. Have a great Sunday!
