Today was a super productive day for us, we packed so much stuff today, that we have one complete side of a room completely filled with boxes. We also took a load in the pickup truck and donated it to Goodwill; some really nice stuff too!
Still, a lot more packing yet to be done, but we put a huge dent into this weekend.

I done for the night, my back is starting to get sore and I'm just plain out right tired. Our one kitty, Shiloh, has been really freaked out today. I think with all the changes in the place here, boxes all stacked up, the noises, etc..., she basically hid all day long. She finally just came out and she's out here with us now, wanting to play. See, it's quiet in here now, we are not moving all around and making strange noises (like taping a box shut).

She's always been skittish, ever since I adopted her. She does not like strangers, strange noises or something new, or my gosh, she even gets spooked when she see's me carrying a bag of trash thru the apartment to take it outside. She'll see it, and then she will get low to the ground and go scurrying off to get under something to conceal her.

I don't know, I think something made her like that when she was a kitten?

Our other Kitty, Ariel, she's the total opposite, she wants to know what your doing, wants to investigate everything and no box, hill of boxes is ever going to stop her from climbing them!

I just want to get this move over with so they can get settled down, be happy in their new home.

Well, ok, I'm done. Have a good night folks, I'll see ya all in the am hours!

A late post from me.

I have a bereavement day for tomorrow. I am currently in Sault Ste. Marie, and will be flying back to Ottawa in the morning. As I have mentioned before, one of the reasons for my love of Christmas - my grandmother - passed away on December 20th (2017). We just had her memorial on Saturday. It was a sad experience. She's finally been put to rest with my grandfather. She is at peace, and I like to believe that we are all at peace knowing that they are finally together on earth and wherever else they may be.

Fittingly, I had a dream about Christmas last night, too. I dreamt that everything was so close to Christmas and I hadn't heard or listened to a Christmas song yet. It's kind of a reoccurring theme of mine. I have the dream a lot, but it's always different. This time, my whole family was around and we were sitting at my grandparents' old house. I don't recall if they were there or not, but it allowed me to awake with a smile on my face.

Losing my grandmother hurts, but I will forever have fond memories of her, especially at Christmas. She helped foster this love that I have now and can share with all of you.

163 Days away isn't that far at all. As always, I know we will all enjoy the summer, and our excitement will pickup when we head into the 'BER months. This year will be a little different for me, as I know she is no longer around, but I am excited make my grandmother even more a part of my Christmas decorations and celebrations when our time comes.

I hope you all have had a wonderful first weekend of June!

It drawz ever nearer! More than half way to the season... wow...

With every mosquito bite, sunburn pain, sweat bullet, and undying weed pulled in the garden, we inch closer to salvation.... Rime, frost, chill.

Morning MMC! I had internet issues at home this morning so I'm at work already before I say hello to you all. A long & slow week I'm calling this or I hope it is. Next week I'm off Monday & Friday but my brother is coming on Monday and then I know things will be hectic. Also, my big bday is next Tuesday (the one after 39) so I'm really not in a rush to get to next week. Have a great Monday!

I have four indoor cats and they are all so very different. I love all of their personalities. I’m sure Shiloh will settle down soon. She and Ariel are both blessed to have found their forever home with you and your wife!

Keeping you in my thoughts Brent, your grandmother sounds like she was a very special lady. Sending hugs your way.

Good Morning, Folks.
A new week. The first full week in June, if that's believable.
Soon, official summer will be here, not that it doesn't seem like it already.

Summer will soon be here alright, but the new numbers release has already arrived!
Behold:
Days to the Season: 162
Days to Christmas Day: 204

And would you believe, we are now barely over HALF a week away from the 200-Day Christmas Day Milestone marker and the beginning of a double-100's count sequence?
Hard to believe indeed, and yet......the chart says it is so.

Quite humid but not overly warm here yesterday, wth no precipitation. I was able to get the lawn mowed in the late afternoon after the sun dipped below the tree line.
Today should be clear with temps in the mid 80's and very little chance of rain.
Currently, we begin this new week at 69 degrees, here.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Friends!

Merry Monday MMC ~
It’s raining here this morning but it’s supposed to clear up later this afternoon. We’re going to have highs near 65, we’re currently at 53 degrees. It was a pretty busy weekend, we had to attend two birthday parties. Back to my regular routine today. I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. Rocky is busy chewing on a new doggie bone. I’m just going to work on some chores around the house and then I’ll run a couple of errands after the rain passes. I’m going to grill chicken & ribs for dinner. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a great week ahead!
xx

Thinking of you, Brent.

Have a great day, HMG....such a dreary morning here too!

Happy Monday...another week has started. I have training in our office tomorrow-Thursday and Wednesday is going to be a long day. I have to be in at 8 and then we are having a dinner until 8:30 or 9pm. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Monday morning! A rainy and cold one too. I have the day off, we’re currently grocery shopping and running some errands. Then we have some house cleaning to do, though David can’t work his right arm much. I think we’ll use our afternoon/evening to catch up on the dvr. We currently have season 2 of Legion and Westworld to watch. Wishing everyone a great start to the week!

Good Morning MMC !!

wet and chilly morning here so do not mind having to dress in black from head to toe for work.

So is getting wisdom tooth pulled this morning, his sister is taking him.

my Penny still upset about new kitten, its been 2 weeks now so hopefully soon she will be resigned to the fact that Speedee is here to stay.

Well, I must run, have a fanstically magical day all !!!

Good morning!

It is nice and cool outside this morning. My wife and I have started having breakfast outside on the porch next to the garden in the mornings. It is nice to sit there and have some coffee and relax outside.

We went to see the Star Wars: Solo movie yesterday. It is really good. I do not understand why it is not doing well in the theatres. The writing was good with the normal amount of Star Wars humor. Nothing that messed up the continuity of all of the other movies. They did pull some things from the comics and Clone Wars cartoons which was a nice touch. If you like Star Wars at all, I do recommend seeing the movie.

Have a great day!

Good morning MMC! "Merry" Monday!! I slept so good last night but still woke up tired!! I guess my internal clock said....it's MONDAY!

I hope you all had a nice weekend! This weekend felt more like a holiday than last weekend did since I wasn't in charge of mom care. Not that I mind, but it sure is a relaxing weekend when you get a break! :) Makes you appreciate it all that much more! It was a great weekend at the lake! Our former neighbors at home just moved in yesterday close to us at the lake, so we are neighbors again! :) So fun!

Everyone, have a good Monday!!!

Good Saturday morning! It will be a beautiful, sunny weekend but without the high humidity. Temperatures were even at the freezing point in some areas in the province this morning. This will be my last day at my current store. I expect a lot of tears, I’m an emotional person and cry at everything. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

(((HUGS))) Hope it went well!!

Thanks Crown! Doesn't feel like summer here today damp, cool and rainy!

Good Morning .. well we finally broke down and turned on the central air yesterday. Although it was only in the mid 80s the humidity was way up there. Expecting thunderstorms later today and a big drop in temps and humidity tonight. We picked a big flat of strawberries yesterday so I am going use about half today and make/can strawberry jam.
You did good! Our AC has been on since April!
