Have a great day, HMG....such a dreary morning here too!
Somewhere along the line Lucy wound up with 2 new elk antlers over the weekend. 1 of them our neighbor gave her b/c their dog doesn't like them. But a 2nd one showed up in our trailer...Hmmm! She's a thief!
I hope you & Rocky have a good day!
Too funny! Lu loves her elk antlers!Thank you both!
Holiday that’s too funny about Lucy the antlers. I gave Rocky a little antler when we first brought him home. Now that I’m thinking about it, I haven’t seen it in awhile. I’ll have to take a look around and see where the little stinker put it!
And I just now got a notification from Echo/Alexa that Lucy's elk antlers were delivered today. LOLToo funny! Lu loves her elk antlers!
A late post from me.
I have a bereavement day for tomorrow. I am currently in Sault Ste. Marie, and will be flying back to Ottawa in the morning. As I have mentioned before, one of the reasons for my love of Christmas - my grandmother - passed away on December 20th (2017). We just had her memorial on Saturday. It was a sad experience. She's finally been put to rest with my grandfather. She is at peace, and I like to believe that we are all at peace knowing that they are finally together on earth and wherever else they may be.
Fittingly, I had a dream about Christmas last night, too. I dreamt that everything was so close to Christmas and I hadn't heard or listened to a Christmas song yet. It's kind of a reoccurring theme of mine. I have the dream a lot, but it's always different. This time, my whole family was around and we were sitting at my grandparents' old house. I don't recall if they were there or not, but it allowed me to awake with a smile on my face.
Losing my grandmother hurts, but I will forever have fond memories of her, especially at Christmas. She helped foster this love that I have now and can share with all of you.

You did good! Our AC has been on since April!
Once ours is on, it stays on! Allergies! It's probably not running much today!
Finally cooled off a bit after the rain we had last night. This whole week is supposed to be in the high teens (mid to high 60s in fahrenheit), so it will be bearable. Feeling a bit anxious today as the FIL will be moving in with us. He's in his eighties and having bouts of dementia. So we thought it best that he stay with us. Spent most of the weekend getting his space ready. There's a separate living area and bathroom, so he'll have his own space. Fingers crossed all will go well.

Thanks Crown! I'm enjoying some comfortable weather here!Good Morning, Everybody!
We move on boldly into the week, the first full one in June, advancing rapidly on summer which begins on June 21, just 16 days from now.
But well before then, we will arrive at the 200-Day Christmas Day Milestone marker which is now only 3 days away. That's LESS THAN HALF A WEEK up ahead.
(Wowzers, Guys!)
Days to the Season: 161
Days to Christmas Day: 203
Yesterday was really quite comfortable, with the humidty down significantly and the temperatures moderate. No rain, either.
Today should see us into the mid 80's with a near zero precipitation chance.
This second day of the work week has dawned here in central NC at 65 degrees.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks!
Awwww he looked adorable, the antler looks so big next to him. I can’t believe I never knew you could give antlers for dogs to chew on. Hope you have a great day HMG!I can’t find Rockys antler anywhere, I’ll have to pick up another. I was looking at pictures last night and found this one, can’t belueve how much bigger he is already!
