Good Sunday morning! The streak of sunny days continues and though there is a bit of humidity, it is still comfortable. Just work for me today. I have a feeling it’s going to be a tough day since I did not sleep well and was wide awake at 2am. Hope everyone will have a great day ahead!

Off to church by 10 am, fortunately it is within walking distance.

Merry Sunday!
It’s going to be another gorgeous day, sunny with a high of 79 degrees. It’s the last day of my husbands vacation week, he heads back to work tomorrow. Not too going on here. We’ll just be hanging out by the pool and we’re going to grill burgers for lunch. I also plan on making lasagna for dinner. I’ll be working on a couple of chores around the house in between. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

(If you haven't been following lately, you might just be taken by surprise!)
First, let's take a peek at the latest numbers:
Days to the Season: 128
Days to Christmas Day: 170
Now. About our next marker.
It's the 2/3 Christmas Season point. And it's now UNDER a week ahead of us.
Yes, sir. A scant SIX days.

Well, we are pretty thoroughly soaked now from all the recent rain, but our temperatures have been knocked down. After the rain stopped late yesterday, we had such a nice evening that we ate at an outdoor restaurant and were quite comfortable.
(We dare not get used to this, however. Mother Nature has a way of providing unpleasant surprises for the complacent!)
Our present reading is a refreshingly low-humidity 66 degrees.

And Relish the Remainder of your Weekend!

I can't believe it's only 14 weeks until the beginning of the Christmas season. It's going to be here before you know it. Getting some stew in the slow cooker for tonight. Running some errands and going to make my own weed killer. I just need a big jug to keep it in.
1 gallon white vinegar
3 cups epsom salts
1/4 blue Dawn dish liquid
Mix to dissolve and spray on anything you don't want around. Hopefully this works on the plants growing in my driveway.

Like many others here, we have another gorgeous summer day---a little warmer than yesterday, but without the stifling humidity of last week. Exactly what a summer day should be! Just getting some laundry done here and enjoying the day.

Not too many plans for the day...gearing up for the work week since I was off for a few days. My youngest daughter has a pool b-day party at 5:00. Not sure what dinner will be..maybe chicken on the grill?

Good morning everyone! Even as an avid summer hater I have to admit that yesterdays weather was beautiful. Turning off the air and opening the windows was so nice. And the cats love the fresh air. It makes them crazy. The younger ones were galloping all over the house from window to window!
My husband and I took a drive yesterday to enjoy the weather and came across a few sales. One was a flea market type sale in beautiful old 1800's barn and I found out they do a "holiday" one there in November so I will definitely be going back for that! The other sale was an estate sale (also in a barn...but there were horses in this one!) We just stopped to browse and my husband found me two little Christmas trees, maybe 2 1/2 feet each, that each had a gold base. Inside the base was a bulb and a mini color wheel that turns, and when you plug them in the tree was fiber optic and turns all of the colors! They are beautiful! One worked and one didn't, but my husband brought them home and already got the broken one working! The best part is, they sold them for 50 cents apiece! Talk about a deal! I also got a large plastic wreath saving container for 50 cents! They had a bunch of very cute Christmas themed glasses but I have a full set of Christmas dishes so I refrained but it was a struggle!! I can't wait to find out where I am going to cram in these two trees in my house as I put up multiple ones each year! But there is always room for more trees!

Good afternoon, friends! Today is DS’s 7th birthday! We will celebrate at the end of the month with a party, but do something fun tomorrow. DH and DD have been away all weekend in Ohio for the National baton competitions. DD’s team received 1st and I’m so proud of them!!!
I work again tonight, 12 hours, but my vacation starts tomorrow at 7 am. 11 days off and I can’t wait!
Going to meet a few of my girlfriends for an earlier dinner before work! Hope you’re all enjoying your Sunday!
