Ha!! Well this is true!!

I was comparing it to last couple of years here for us. Then gnat bites are just as bad as the mosquito bites, and the mosquito bites have gotten much worse. Typically we have many more ticks than my parents do further south, and less mosquitoes/gnats- and my dog Harlowe had 15 ticks alone in the month of April. And that was just in our neighborhood, on sidewalks/walking trails.

You are so right SF. I went to the shore with Jill a little bit back and my gosh, the biting knats (I just love making fun of words that begin with letters that you do not hear, I'm such a simple guy, that I'm like, if you don't use it, why put it in there, sheesh a waste of letters! LOL!!!!), and those mosquitoes, they were so bad, the literally chased us off the beach.

That's crazy about the amount of ticks that HJ has gotten just in one month alone. Do you have her on frontline or something like that?

I'm getting ready to start our kitties on a flea and tick med, the next time I take them to the vets. That is because of me. I like to be outdoors, in the grass, woods, bushes and gardens and such, and although they are indoor kitties only, I'm worried that I might bring something in the house from outside and it gets on them. Everywhere here, I keep hearing how bad they are this year for some reason.

Wouldn't be great if there was an invention, to where we would be able to wear something that could project an invisible like shield around us, that would automatically kill any blood sucking bug that flew or crawled into it!
Like a human bug zapping kit!!!! LOL!

Merry Friday!

On Wednesday I talked to the owner of another antique/vintage mall and today I sent a request for a booth to start in September. I so hope I get it! This place lets you put in pretty much what you want so I can put some handmade items and other things I've picked up that was made at a date beyond which allowed at the current place I am at. The rent is reasonable and there is no commission at this time. Having one more place will keeping me hopping! :)

There was a brief downpour here yesterday and today the pond is up almost four inches! YAY!!

Sorry that you & Jill got chased off the beach!!

Yes, Harlowe is on Nexgard. Every month, no breaks. We usually find them when they are crawling, when we’re still out on a walk. They can still bite her, and that is when they ingest the poison. They can also still embed, and it takes some time for them to die unfortunately. The idea is for them to die before they are embedded long enough to share disease. They are nasty.

That makes sense~ hope that you, Jill & the kitties stay safe!!
