Good afternoon everyone! Stumbled across this thread and thought i would post.

If you can, keep your fingers crossed for me please, I am buying my first home and I’m on the final stages before a mortgage offer is issued and I just cannot wait! Solicitors are all waiting and ready to go, so just need the offer in front of me then I can get excited.

What makes it even better, it’s a November completion date which means I should be in for Christmas.

Hope everyone is having a great day
Gosh, I hope you get it, so you will have a new place to decorate for Christmas!
Keep us posted!

weeks with high temps up to 94 degrees, so hot
We Norwegians dont have AC in our houses, so its impossible to sleep
But will this continue we have to install AC!

Now, I am ready for Autumn ♥

That I found, to be very Interesting, in which I didn't know.

I've been to Norway and Denmark before (back in 83-84) and it was so cold there in Norway (in the Fjords and above the Artic Circle), that I had to wear a survival suit and like no areas of my skin could be exposed to the air. I mean like, colder than a (well diggers behind) and more.

So to know now of temperatures in the 90's there, it just blows my mind because that would be one heck of a temperature swing from the summer to the winter months.

But I have to tell you, it was one of the beautiful areas that I have ever seen to this very day. The people in Norway and Denmark are so extremely nice and friendly. And, as a young man while there visiting there, the ladies, wow, (to me) I thought they where all so gorgeous. I could of have easily lost my heart there and not ever come back to the states. Ahhh, fond memories!

Good Luck to you, wish you the best!

The result is enjoyable and (hopefully) entertaining, but the actual work can be tedious and frustrating ... trying to get a fade-in or fade-out or transition to hit just right, trimming unwanted audio, trying to get the timing just right on a title or caption ... and this year I'm using a new software that I'm totally unfamiliar with, so I'm learning inch by inch as I work, frequently stopping to Google for instructions on how to do something. But I hope once I have it under my belt it'll go easier next year and following years. Once a clip is finished to my satisfaction, it feels good to watch it.

We DO watch our own annual Christmas DVDs from past years and enjoy them a lot, and occasionally surprise ourselves with something we didn't remember! I'm not sure how many we've done, but I think this year will be the 9th or 10th. Before that we did 10 years of Christmas CDs, mostly funny/silly/crazy/vintage/rare audio. So the annual "show" is nearly a 20-year tradition!

Merry, that is amazing! I think you both do such a wonderful job.

I always wanted to know this, so I'm going to ask. When the Mr gets an old 8 or 16mm film, and its in need of some serious restoration, how does he do it? I mean, does he like have to go frame, by frame, frame to clean it and like how can it be restored?

What if, it is like the only copy and or the last in the world, does he clean and restore them and donate them to somewhere for to be preserved for forever? I just find that whole process so interesting and I am a big supporter of what ya all do.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

When I got home from work, it was raining so hard that I couldn't see across the street. Elizabeth had play practice, but that's 30 minutes away, and we didn't want her driving in that rain. I finally decided I would driver her there. The rain slacked off after we got on the road, and it was never bad while we were driving. But I was stuck in Statesboro for 3 hours. Ugh!

Guess where I'm going tonight? Statesboro. Ugh!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

That does not sound like a lot of fun. Seems like that kind of rain must be going up the East coast, because I hit a storm like that while driving home after work yesterday evening. It rained so hard, that even with my windshield wipers going full speed, I could hardly see 20 feet in front of the truck, except for the taillights in front of me. It really gets your heart rate up there.

Merry Friday MMC ~
Another warm & humid day. I hate to wish time away but I’m really looking forward to those Autumn temperatures. Just a typical day here of errands and chores. The girls and I are all meeting up later tonight for dinner. We’re going to order pizza, can’t wait :)
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Happy Friday, HmG!!
I'm with you, if only we could have an extended Autumn...starting now...I'm over the heat and humidity as well.
Enjoy pizza with the girls tonight :) Sounds perfect!
Have a wonderful day <3
xx

Happy Friday!! And I am off next week. Not too much planned for the weekend. My husband is going on an annual golf trip and he will be back Monday. I am not sure what the weather is supposed to be like this weekend. Tomorrow seems iffy. We'll see...have a great Friday and first weekend of August!
Merry Friday, SFM!!
Hope your husband has fun on his golf trip!
Hope that you and the girls have a fun and laid back weekend :)

Happy Friday to everyone!

Very glad it's Friday. Yesterday was a heavy workday ... I know I read and marked about 120 pages. I'm hoping today is easier! Weekends will be busy now, as it's time to choose, compile, and edit Christmas clips for this year's DVD.
Happy Friday, Merry!
Hope you have a great day!

Good Friday morning! I’m working the afternoon/evening shift today so I got some laundry and supper done early this morning. Humidity is back with a veangeance here, hopefully the air conditioning will work at the store as it wasn’t working on our opening day. Have a great Friday everyone!
Merry Friday, Martine!!
Stay cool this weekend~ hope the store's AC is back up and running properly.
Have a wonderful day!!

The weather has been super weird lately, one minute its pouring, the next, the sun is out. I think the mosquitoes are loving it though, I stood outside yesterday talking to Jill for about 10 minutes and I got bit like 3 times. It's always on places that you cannot see; back, ears, neck....But, I got one of those blood suckers, she isn't going to bite anyone else ever again! Now, another 130 Quad-Zillion more to get!

I walked out the Air Conditioned house this morning, BAM!!!, right smack into a humidity wall! Yuck..... It's so thick, a person could suffocate in it. The temperature is one thing, I can deal with that, but the humidity, uggghhhh, it like sucks the life from right out of a person. I hope you stay cool!
This is a bad year for mosquitoes, biting gnats, horse flies and ticks!

Bring on Fall :D

TGIF, Brad!

That was thoughtful, and I'm sure Elizabeth really appreciated the ride. It is nerve-wracking driving in such heavy rain.

Hope you have a wonderful day! :)

I know how you feel. My oldest is moving out in the next few weeks. Like yours, he'll only be 30 minutes away, but he'll be without my protection. Bless your heart.
Our only child graduated from college in May and married in June. A bitter/sweet time us. We are blessed they will be living only 30 minutes away (Bryson City).

Nice to see you here :)
Fingers crossed & best wishes to you on your first home! How exciting!!
Have you picked out the spot where you will put your Christmas Tree?
Have a wonderful Friday!

I've now been retired a month and highly recommend it. We had some excitement last night. A bear was in our yard again. We have seen him a couple times so he must be settled in near us.
Have a blessed everyone.

Thank you for your kind words (as always!)

Absolutely! One of the first things I thought was ‘can I see myself here at Christmas’ and the answer was of course yes I could imagine a festive candle burning with some quiet Christmas music on and it felt blissful

Have a wonderful Friday too! I hope that you are well

Good Morning, friends~

Merry Friday!! TGIF!!

Adrian had a nice birthday, thanks so much for the wishes for him~
Harlowe had a good night too, thankfully.

It may be a busy day at work, as we have a few people out of the office.
Other than that, it should be a pretty normal day.
We are looking forward to relaxing and also having some fun this weekend! It's been one of those weeks ;)

Hope you all have some nice plans for the weekend~
Wishing you all a wonderful day ahead!!
