I am starting to believe that, and blow up the bullpen while they are at it, blowing a 9 run lead in yesterdays game is a disgrace.

I could not believe that, I rank that up there with one of the worst losses along with the Boone HR. Hopefully Bard will make his back back down and they sign another reliever then bring Cook up or sign Oswald, I know its a stretch saying they will win the East but just staying hopeful lol.

At the All Star Break my predictions are good for the AL, who could have seen Detroit laying an egg for most of the first half.
The NL ughhh! The Phillies stink, the D-backs stink, but the good stories of the year are the Nats and the Bucs, could we possibly see a Washington-Pittsburgh NLCS? That would be fun!
Team turmoil my beloved Red Sox, are right where I thought they would be. :-o

Nats and Bucs would be fun but I think Pittsburgh will be just like last year...and early peak then a steep decline. I have been a Nats believer all year and they seem to have the magic going for them this year.

The Nats have a good young pitching staff, and talent all over the field, they could be a factor for a long time.

Agreed the Nats have a young team that can only get better as time goes. Gio, Strausburg and Zimm. are up there with any other top 3, nice to see them stay up there, its good for baseball.
Out here its fun watching Trumbo and Trout just take off, two of the better young guns I have seen.
As for the Sox they need to still fire Valentine, take Aceves out and somehow get Lester back in command of his pitches.

Wow!! Crazy trade rumors going on around here between Red Sox & Dodgers, Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, and Nick Punto going to LA for a boatload of prospects and James Loney. Red Sox would free up a ton of money for next year after this years debacle.

Just noticed this tonight. I've done ok in the past with this but never this good. Talk about luck!

I've been pretty irritated, by the way, with the media pulling so hard for the Tigers. I'm a lifelong Giants fan so I make no secret who I'm rooting for and the past couple of days have been nothing but fun and magic for me. But the East Coast bias sure seems to be alive and well even when a team isn't on the East Coast!

Anything can happen still and I fully expect the Tiger to do better as the World Series goes back to Detroit. But SF is firmly in the driver's seat and need now only win two of the next five games. I'd take those odds with the Giants facing ANYONE in MLB.

I've been a fan of the Detroit Tigers as long as I've known baseball has existed and believe me, I'd love to see them win this! If they don't, I'm happy for you, Jeff!
