I loved reading all of your replies. Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year right behind Thanksgiving and Christmas. To me, as it was mentioned here, is the kick off to the Christmas season!

I know some like the gory stuff but I don't care for that side of it. I know it's part of the Halloween tradition for some, just not for me. :D I do decorate with witches, ghost, Frankenstein, etc. but they are not the scary looking ones, more folksy looking. I have a lot of scarecrows too. I decorate the outside with pumpkins, Halloween wreath, lights and an inflatable haunted house. If I am at home to pass out candy I play scary sounds on my CD player. That's about as scary as it gets at my house. =)

I take my grandchildren to the Halloween carnival at the elementary school I use to go to every year. I have so much fun and it brings back so many memories when I was a kid.

It is an absolute MUST to watch, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, numerous times in October. I watch it even when the kids are not at my house. =)

I wish it was that time of year already! :scarykitty:

Its a tradition in our house, It's not officially Halloween untill we watch "It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown", every year!!!

Halloween is our #2 Holiday. We decorate the house almost as much as we do for christmas. Usually, it will take me about a week to get all the decorations up and lit, tested and then on halloween night, I have bats flying around outside, lights lit in the yard, bushes, on the house, fog machines going, scary music/ sounds blarring and about 30 pounds of candy in a witches cauldren waiting for all the kiddies to stop by.

We have people making special trips just to see the house...Can't wait....

And It's tradition, we must watch "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown", every year....

That sounds awesome man!! I love handing out candy whilst watching the Orginal "halloween" or even 'the night of the living dead" but your house sounds like you fix it up big time!! I may stop by next year.lol!

We decorate for the Fall, not Halloween. Lot's of pumpkins and friendly scarecrows, that sorta thing. I still love the holiday though, as seeing the decorations for it signals that the Christmas season is just around the corner, and I love it when the cooler weather starts to come in.

Still, we have a tradition of doing a Scooby Doo marathon around that last week of October (I LOVE Scooby Doo), so that's kind of how we celebrate, other than taking the kids out trick or treating.

I LOVE Halloween! The sights, sounds, smells, movies, foods... everything!

I made up an picture album titled Halloween and put some pictures in there last night of the outside of the house and some of the inside... I'll look for some more/ better pictures to post. I find that with each and every passing year, the yard decorations somehow keep on increasing and prep time keeps getting longer; soon, I'll be out there for 2 days setting everything up....:pumpkin:
