Hi all!

I'm Gerald from Austria!

I lurked the forums for a while and thought about finally registering

To be honest, I already have a question: after reading some of the presents-ideas and other stuff, I would like to have some feedback on a project of two friends and I.
But I don't want to come across as too advertisingly. Of course we are looking for support, but here I thought I could get some valuable feedback (if other christmas junkies like the idea too)

Where do you think I should post it?

Briefest of summary about me:
I'm 26, a student in Austria. (And so are my two friends with whom I'm working on the project)

It's actually about three years ago I had the idea (usually on the toilet, under the shower, or in this case half-asleep in the morning), started working on it two years ago but we had to postpone it :/

It's an advent calendar app (for iOS and android phones) where people can fill each others calendars - I heard it's actually not that common to have an advent calendar in other countries unlike here in Austria.
The thought behind it is the growing anticipation in the last 24 days before christmas eve - so you'll have something every day to look forward to, interact with friends in a christmas-ish and happy way.

We're currently having an indiegogo campaign - there it's explained in detail and with a video (My english in the video is a joke)

I'm not asking for donations (even though I'm more than happy if someone does), I hope If people like the idea it ill spread itself.
I'd like to hear from christmas lovers like you if you actually think it's a nice idea and if where you come from the advent calendar is part of the christmas tradition?

As I say in the video - usually people buy advent calendars with chocolate or sweets in each of the 24 windows, but we thought it might be fun to make it interactive between friends.

What do you think?

That's an interesting idea for an Advent app. Curious, what do you mean that others can fill in the calendar?

But to answer you right away - you add your friends in the app and then you can fill each others days with messages (a short video, picture, link and/or text)

So for example you could write a christmas story with one part in each day.
Or a picture, or a present in form of a link.. so it's a lot you could do.

That way you fill the calendar of your friends and your friends fill yours. but everyone has just one calendar. So in one window might be lots of stuff to find.
So a real life metaphor would be a calendar that hangs somewhere public and people can put stuff in it for you. (And everyone has such a calendar) Only it's not visible for others what's inside. They can only put their stuff in but not look inside. Thats only for you.

Just for feedback reasons - Could you catch a look at the indiegogo campaign? Maybe I didn't explain it well enough there
