Boxing Day?

I would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas.
Just a thought, here in England, the 26th of December is a bank holiday (national public holiday), where we can carry on with the festivities. So, we have 25th and 26th of December as holiday. Does the USA have something similar? or is it back to work on the 26th?

Hi Red Robin....Welcome...The 26th in the USA is a day folks shop discounted items and do their returns....In Canada it is Boxing Day, even that has changed over the years tho....Have a Merry CHRISTmas....Enjoy things here, it is a wonderful place to pull up a chair and spend time....God bless....:rudolph:

27th is also a Public Holiday as Christmas day falls on a Sunday so a Bank Holiday is also given in Lieu.

This is true - unfortunately, I have to go back to work on the 27th (can't complain too much - I've been off since the 9th!)

over here in germany, the 26th is our 2. Christmas Day...so we pretty much celebrate for three days....love it so so much!!!!

December 26 is not a National Holiday. Our production facility is open on the 26th, although I usually take the entire week off between Christmas & New Years.
