Celebrating Jack O' Lantern Day

I bought 10 pumpkins for $10 and have them out on the patio! After dinner I hope to go sit out and look at them, later I am going to start Monsters, the documentary on the Menendez brothers, so not technically Halloween but I am guessing creepy.
Wow, what a great deal on pumpkins. All of them I have seen have been at least 30 cents a pound.
I was thrilled!
The spooky month of October is finally here! We won't see Jack O Lantern Day again until January 31st, 2025. 122 DAYS FROM TODAY
That first JOL day is always a well needed one to start us off in yucky January.

Happy Jack O Lantern Day #1, folks! The last time we celebrated a Jack O Lantern Day was 123 days ago!
And I was thinking about this photo once we got to January 1st. We know it's Michael looking across the street, but I think in so many ways this could represent "us" just standing here and waiting for Fall / October / Halloween to get here! So I appreciate the imagery. It's always one of my favorite shots in film!

One of the advantages of short, little February for sure.
Happy JOL Day#2! For the second time in as many months, JOL Day is on a Friday night. Another cool fact is that Halloween 2025 will have the Halloweekend! So there will be lots of similarities today / tonight.
I'm watching "28 Days Later" tonight, in what has become a February JOL Day tradition! Have a great day!
The perfect movie for this JOL Day. It is very appropriate for the only JOL day that falls on the 28th.
