My wife several years ago used a recipe for pumpkin pie that dated from the 1600s

And she worked on it for months

What about main dish kind of stuff? Have you ever done a goose, for example?

I personally haven't cooked a goose, but I've eaten it. I know that it was the bird of choice before the turkey took over

I have done the figgy pudding thing a couple of times, yes

I think goose was easier to get in England, turkey being more native in America
