I use Google Drive a lot so I can share important things with family. My husband and I also share an iCal so we know what each other has going on and don't over book ourselves.
@Art the Bookworm -- we're famous on Main Street for leaving our tree up -- we went to June one year, but that was mostly to drive a neighbor crazy. I guess you could say it was planned
My grandma left her tree up until at least 4th of July once and decorated it for each holiday. I loved it.
I think that's an awesome idea
Our family has a name draw as part of our tradition
But we've become so wide spread in location
that we HAVE to use technology
I think I'd love to try the seasonal tree sometime.
Our name draw is all digital now
And we have a Facebook family group thing going on that really gets its heaviest use at Thanksgiving and Christmas

I do like to make sure Thanksgiving is also planned or that can really hurt the holiday mood as well. I keep Thanksgiving a LOT more simple these days. And guess what? Everyone is still happy and stuffed.

@StressFreeChristmas I see your website has recipes. Do you have any homemade coffee creamer recipes? I'm looking for something that tastes christmasy that I can make "out of season"
I feel Thanksgiving is more of an automatic too. But for me the real benefit is that's when we can get everyone talking on the same page.

We left our tree up till the last week of June this year. We lit it every night and it really helped to lift our spirits tremendously, especially with the way the world is now.
